I saw a tweet that had hundreds of thousands of likes mocking women for having a tiny stomach pouch. The comments were flooded with men saying thats their "preference" to date a woman with a flat stomach....so no internal organs? While men get praised for having a "cute dad bod"
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/23 03:58 PM

"I'm so lonely I'll take anyone!!!" 5 seconds later "Oh she has a tiny pouch of fat on her stomach to protect her uterus? What a slob!" - men Not saying women don't do this too. But nowadays a lot of people are very shallow due to social media, regardless of gender.

My undergrad is child development, and while I think nannies are harmful (I've seen the harmful effects firsthand), I think stuff like childcare is extremely beneficial (Which I've seen the benefits of firsthand) I don't know why people forget it takes a village to raise a child.

Yeah. It is unusual, as different branches of feminism have different ideas on stuff like that. Like some are for casual sex, some are against it. Some are for the idea a woman can choose between being a tradwife or a careerwoman and that neither should be shamed, some of them are like you can't even date men.

I need men emotionally, not financially. I want my marriage to be about love, and not a business transaction. No disrespect to people who choose that though

Well that’s why I think trad relationships are dumb and don’t work. It’s like communism. Sounds great on paper, doesn’t work at all in execution.

they have tons of differences, yes. But they both want a higher birth rate.

As I mentioned in another comment, I have to be careful about reproducing due to being an autistic woman with other illnesses. I would gladly adopt or be a stepmom. I just can't handle autistic children ironically being an autistic person myself. I'm still heavily weighing the options in this unique scenario. People shouldn't have kids for their personal entertainment (hence why cats are not replacements for children, i fucking hate cats) but they should have kids they are physically and mentall…

The only "wall" that people hit is society's retarded, shallow expectations of beauty for both genders. all in all you're just another brick in the wall..

i mean being yourself is a good thing to a point actually, because I think this whole fake inauthentic influencer culture where everyone wants be something they're not is a whole ass mental illness. And with body positivity mind you, while I disagree with people saying fat is healthy, and especially trying to justify Lizzo being "healthy", as a chubby gal, being mocked and called a fat pig does NOT help me lose weight. There's a reason why a huge amount of diets have been scientifically proven t…

Thanks, I'm currently doing my undergrad in child development and already have an associates in it, and it's so interesting when you learn about different family structures and dynamics and the impact they have on kids

Its really unfortunate that even though while yes men don't have a time limit, there's still men who won't sleep with women who aren't on birth control and are very very clear on not wanting kids and I see a lot of people still not factoring that in here. Oh yeah I noticed my mom did that too! She will always say like oh when I get old I'll need you to help me, but dad will be fine!

I mean if they're sad and regret it, that's their problem man. Grass is always greener. My coworkers who are moms always tell me how "lucky" I am I don't have kids. However I totally think that's dumb because I'm lucky and they're lucky too because we both are doing what works for ourselves. I personally think if people hate kids that much they shouldn't have them and I'd rather have them be full of regret than have a kid they hate and abuse and regret. I definitely don't think the blowback towa…

Lol what? I've had multiple guys I've had crushes on reject me for my prettier friend, guys walk past me in public to ask her out, and I don't blame men for that. I don't blame her, or myself. It's called I didn't hit the genetic lottery and I got unlucky, and she got lucky. Trust me, if you're a woman you gotta also convince men to impregnate YOU. I think a lot of women like the corporate positives because it's 99 percent social based and women like to be social.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/23 02:37 PM

But this is about men who don’t want to impregnate and will only sleep with women with contraception

I disagree, women have better social connections than men do, hence the current male loneliness epidemic. Women are better at social networking and forming communities around themselves And if thats true then how does bullying them or insulting them make it any better?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/23 04:59 AM
1

Because you have to be careful if you don't want to end up a single mom. Same goes for guys who have to be careful they don't end up impregnating a psycho. I see men have more visceral upset reactions to a girlfriend having a pregnancy scare than the woman themself

Well what if a man suddenly decides he wants a vasectomy and doesn’t want the wife he’s been committed to for 3 years to have children? It lies in both and man and a woman deciding together they want kids

I work in childcare and make 22k a year, I totally feel you! Here in southern California I feel like the reasons for people getting married and having kids are also very ulterior. A lot of people here marry for money and move in really fast while dating due to high rents, and a lot of people can’t afford nursing homes so they have kids towards that purpose. It’s very strange when in the most liberal state it’s coming full circle and we’re following conservative ideals to survive

Am absolutely fine with adopting. Only issue is the cost, red tape, and finding a partner who’s willing to adopt. Most men either are 100% childfree or want bio kids, it’s hard to find a man who’s willing to find that middle road I would also be fine to marry a divorced dad and be a stepmom too! It’d be super rewarding to fill the role the children are missing in their lives of a stable two parent family.

This is a wonderful, nuanced take. I think it is unfortunate that both men and women have to face such high appearance standards, and instead of it being the other genders fault, I think it’s the fault of modern day social media and pop culture and pornography where people have unrealistic expectations on both sides.

How is mocking people going to make it better exactly instead of just dividing people more? Also regardless of how much time each gender has, there’s still a huge number of men being vehement about getting sterilized and not having kids. Regardless if a man has more time, the whole free pass thing is stupid because someone parenting as a senior citizen is associated with awful outcomes for children

Yeah that’s the whole issue that everyone’s blaming on women and feminism lately. We’re all lonely and depressed as a society because there’s no sense of community or friendships and we sit on tiktok and insta all day and yet that loneliness is blamed on women not having kids. Kids aren’t friends. They’re not a therapist for people to dump their baggage on or a guarantee of not dying alone, even though I think parenthood is still extremely amazing and fulfilling from what I’ve seen. Mothers are …

I’ve worked with all ages from 0-12 and I 100% agree. I want to genuinely sit down with Ben Shapiro and Andrew Tate and show them the case of the woman who brutally abused and tortured her son Gabriel Fernandez and say “Are people like this having kids really worth it for a higher birth rate?

No problem! Happy to hear that. Being an autistic woman, I didn’t know I had PMDD until I was older and began tracking my menstruation. PMDD is extremely common in autistic women compared to the general population, yet doctors often overlook it. It’s essentially the body itself overreacting to common female hormones, causing women to get suicidal, depressed, and have “super PMS” Both autism and PMDD in women increase the risk for post partum depression heavily. People with autism of both genders…

I can’t speak for other countries, but speaking as an American living in California, I’ve seen enough single moms having to live in shitty areas raising their kids in a tiny apartment with several adult roommates, to understand why people aren’t having kids. And enough people who can’t afford healthcare to the point where their wisdom teeth are rotting because they can’t get them removed I think it’s the opposite actually funny part. Yeah I was just saying in other comments how it’s so weird how we pressure men to work tons of hours and “provide”, despite the fact statistically men have greater dissatisfaction with working than women. It’s like we overlook how depressed a lot of them are.

It’s stupid to even make it a political statement now that I think about it, people should just quietly decide to do as they please with their lives.

There’s a few things I have common ground with it on, like I think marriage and partnerships > casual sex. I think casual sex is so unfortunate and is destroying the mental health of a generation. Especially since statistically married people are happier than single. And I think misogyny and misandry are both in casual sex culture. However what I do disagree with heavily, is the whole idea of men providing financially for women exclusively. I enjoy working and I don’t want anyone to provide for …

Okay well you can have one of my male topic takes, Hot take: I think we need more stay at home dads honestly. I think it’s so weird that it’s considered bad if men stay at home. Especially because they’re less social than women and have higher depression rates from 9-5 jobs. And if they stay at home they can focus on hobbies like hunting, fishing, and professional cooking.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/23 05:53 PM

Not too hot on r/childfree because a lot of the content on there is child hating and then just makes them look bitter and more stigma. However I think instead of even that being an argument of “look how bitter they are, they should’ve had kids” it should be “look how bitter they are, thank GOD they didn’t have kids”

Interesting, thank you for sharing your experience! Im so sorry about what your boyfriend is going through right now. I think it’s just one of those weird double standards that has no reason for existing but is just how it is in pop culture. Like men being portrayed as perverts.

I think that’s the best thing to do, is keep it to ourselves. If we go online stating HEY LOOK AT ME I DONT WANT KIDS it totally invited us to get mocked, but IRL people don’t really care in my experience. It’s funny how the internet is so different from real life. The person writing neo nazi online could end up being the same person who pays for your Starbucks in line to be nice.

I think men are pushed to go to college because otherwise they get called losers and burger flippers at McDonald’s. If a man doesn’t have a job he’s called a failure, and if a woman doesn’t have a job she’s praised for being a “based tradwife” even though men dislike working far more than women do, they’re pressured to do it more.

I see a lot of people going back and forth on it and feeling a lot of confusion. Hence r/Fencesitter It's basically similar to how you're expected to know what you want to do for the rest of your life at 18 when you go off to college

I think the huge issue with a lot of libfem ideology/redpill ideology is it's blaming issues on men or blaming issues on women that are really caused by the dystopian rise of people acting retarded on social media for attention. I totally agree about the real men with power, they don't need social media to prove that they are strong and masculine. They live the fast life in the moment!

It's just bizarre and hypocritical to me. My mom being a full time stay at home mom, she's too busy cooking dinner to go yell at internet feminists.

It is a general societal thing yes, I see plenty of women shame other women for it. As well as women shaming mothers too for not being a perfect mom. And the birth control thing goes both ways. I've heard so many men say they can't wait for male birth control, they refuse to wait to have sex in a relationship because "You gotta try the car before you buy it", Demand their girlfriend get on the pill, etc. Casual sex is an issue with both genders rn.

Women can only give birth if a man decides he wants to nut in her unprotected in the first place, or decides to not get a vasectomy/use a condom first.

Ok so it feels ulterior to me as well, because I noticed calling women fat feminazi pigs does not make them want to have kids more. It's unproductive, illogical, ad hominem. It's like if I told someone to get the vaccine and screamed at them to trust the science, and that they were a stupid anti science redneck if they didn't get it. It's not gonna make them wanna get it more lmao. Legit in this "libertarian" circles I've seen them even say women shouldn't have jobs. And that women are stealing …

I'm saying it'd be easy to push men to want kids since so many men are getting vasectomies and telling their wives to stay on birth control since a baby is a mutual decision.

A lot of people however, are citing cost as why they can't have kids. Especially due to the fact even just giving birth is thousands of dollars, and raising a single child alone is 200k per kid. That was pre covid inflation numbers. I noticed a huge number of men having power in this as well, with the huge increase of young men getting vasectomies/telling their girlfriends they don't want kids. The funniest part is the women who preach about women belonging in the home like classically abby, just pearlythings, candace owens, girl defined, are all preaching all over doing podcasts, speaking at colleges, living a life outside their home Like i am 99% sure classically abby just shoves her kids off to some nanny while she goes off and makes videos about how trad she is. I'm CF due to the fact I have autism, PMDD, and an anxiety disorder. My risk for postpartum depression and psychosis is through the roof. If I got pregnant, I would take full responsibility and be the best mother I could be. I think majority of women are happy having kids and I am a HUGE outlier. Being autistic, my brain is structured different than a normal female's, and I'm far less social. Even super right leaning red pillers have admitted I'm an outlier among females. because a lot of them suddenly do a switcheroo on their female partners who are waiting for the OK to go off birth control and have families and suddenly decide they don't want kids. There's also vasectomies that can prevent men from having kids. Men who don't want kids also obviously don't want to date women who want kids.

I disagree with the sexually casual part, as I am anti casual sex and I think it causes heavy mental illness. However the numbers don't lie that working moms are happier than stay at home moms and less obese, and their children turn out better. Despite lower pay, women are far happier at a job than men. We're watching men kill themselves due to their 9-5. I think the casual sex is definitely society deluding itself, but women are happier working is 100% true. It doesn't need to be a dichotomy be…

So here's my take on it people, which is why I find it so funny I get called a cat lady when I debate andrew tate fans- I hate cats and I actually love kids. So the reason why single, childless men tend to have WAY higher loneliness rates than single childless women (yet for some reason men get a free pass for that and don't get called "cat men" like I've never heard anyone diss jay leno or john cena for being voluntarily childless) is I think it's because male friendships and them having social…
