Ultimately she disclosed her biggest fear was being replaced with a “younger model” and left with nothing because of the prenup, so her lawyer made all of her requests conditional on him cheating. But huge difference in coparenting and being decent and what my buddy is doing, which is presenting an actual fantasy to their kids, except the “fantasy” is a loveless partnership and they lie to their kids about their real partners. 2	Dating a Divorced Single-Mom that has 100% custody of her Children... You can do it online LOL. Google the name the county where she got divorced + “civil records” and it should take you to a portal where you can search for cases. Plug in her last name (+ a date range if it’s a common last name like smith). Some places let you see all the documents but most don’t- but you’ll be able to see if there was a protective order, or if it was contested etc. if you want the docs you can request them in person but that’s a bit much in my opinion. 1	Fiance and her ex This is really good advice. I was stuck in a pretty crappy situation bc I was tricked and lied to at the beginning as well. 2	STBXW drinks and drives Yeah this guy was served w his divorce papers in rehab but he is a US Attorney and seems to be invincible to DUI. Allegedly he has been stumbling drunk in court, the judge has had to call his boss to pick him up, and he still has a job. Very unlikely he will get a DUI- sadly will probably kill someone for anything to happen to him. I have one friend whose ex drinks and drives and lost her recent hearing to require an interlock device on their car. 3	Child not Biologically mine Even with a DNA test in my state you’re still on the hook financially if you’ve treated the child as yours and supported it. 1	Does the old contact every attorney in town trick still work? Yup. I did it. Cost me an average of $300 per consultation. What I did is I asked my own lawyers who the most insane, unreasonable family attys in town were and they gave me a list. Luckily the list was only about 4 lawyers, so I’d say it was the best $1200 I ever spent to make sure my ex didn’t hire them. One of the lawyers got on the list by continuing to oppose custody for a mother who by that point was in hospice with cancer and ended up dying without having her desired visitation. 3	So much anger Soon she will be asking the kids to ask him for her and claim it’s good for them to see a “united front.” I mean, of course the kids want to see mom and dad back together. Before he knows it he will be so enmeshed that he doesn’t have independent relationships with the kids and she controls everything even though they’re divorced.
