I thought of including it the original post, but I couldn't find a succinct and clear way of putting it. No hiring process should be completely blind for the reasons listed. You cannot evaluate how well someone will work with a team in a fully blind hiring process. So the hiring process needs to be partially open, presumably at the final stage of the process so you can judge these things. Whoever is most qualified for the position should get the position. Gender or race quotas are the antithesis of this because they require employers eliminate candidates for reasons other than their ability to do the job.
