Right, and on top of that she’ll have to give him half her money in the divorce. The money from working her ass off in that law firm for 30 years while he hung out in bars.

I feel like, at least for us, it’s was selfish boomers raising these men. Am so happy you found a good one. I did too after a harrowing first marriage. I have teenage sons myself and am trying to figure out what to teach them in order for them to become good husbands and fathers. Their own dad is a NVM but their stepdad is super HV. Am hoping that since their dad all but abandoned them, that they will take their cues from my husband. They can cook, do laundry, clean, etc. I taught them everythin…

The most HV man I know initiated the break up with his first wife and spent time being single afterwards. I never thought about it, but that could have been another one of his green flags. But that’s the only example I can think of lol

We have a cleaner and it’s fantastic. Have never had an argument over cleaning the house. To be fair we can easily afford it and even so it’s my husband who pays. The red flags I notice are when a man refuses to pay for housecleaners while at the same time fails to do his share of the housework. It was never even a discussion with my husband that there would be housecleaners. He had them even before we started dating and never once asked me to take over the heavy cleaning duties. I agree that it…

Sure. I vest over 18 years in three year increments. For example, at 3 years I would have received 8.33%, 6 years was 16.6%, etc. Once we’ve been married 18 years, if we divorce I’ll get 50% of our total net worth. If we had lasted less than 3 years, there was a specific dollar amount I would have received, although at this point I don’t remember what it was. I would always keep my jewelry, gifts and any personal possessions. There were also provisions for yours, mine and ours accounts for banki…

Ladies this is for real. Wish no one had to put up with this. It doesn’t have to be this way! My first husband was a NVM, but my current HVM husband of 12 years pays 100% including for housecleaners, landscapers, our vacations, my law school tuition, everything. He is incredibly generous which is one of his best traits. Despite his high income, we share an equitable division of labor including the fact that he does the dishes, his own laundry, takes care of the pets, etc. etc. without complainin…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
