I like this advice. However, how do I divert when someone asks me a direct question? I may need to implement this tactic around the holidays. Family loves political discussions and I'd rather not get into it.

This is what my mom always tells me! Gossip will get you caught up in situations you don't want to be in. It's even worse that his family is from a small town. Thanks!

I find it hard to believe my SO's sister would be jealous of me because she has it altogether and is gorgeous! But now that I think of it, anytime my SO or his parents compliment me she'll respond with "I do that too!" or explain how she does it better. For example, her mom called me a "perfect little housewife" the other day and she interjected with "So am I! I cooked X Meal for Current Boyfriend!" And she's done this before which I found humorous. I don't understand why she'd be envious of me …

Thanks! I've become incredibly private as a result. I literally don't volunteer information unless they specifically ask. It's funny because my SO is this way and I always thought he was a little uptight around his family but I now understand why!

I'm also 26. I noticed I was looking very post-wall so I started working out 3-4 times a week, but the real change came when I cut meat and dairy out of my diet. Dairy especially is so bad for the skin. Now it's clear as day and although I have some scarring, I cover it up with makeup when I can. I started at your weight and I'm now down to about 145. As far as clothes go, I would be reluctant to buy a whole new wardrobe if I was truly motivated to lose a significant amount of weight. Little cha…

So PCAS is sort of like common law marriage? That's what my partner and I are in. We plan on getting formally married in the future and he's already told me he doesn't plan on wearing a ring because he hates jewelry and it would feel unnatural. As long as I get a sparkly ring I really don't mind. But I understand your perspective. Perhaps only wear it on special occasions?

I've noticed the acceleration! I speak very slowly but sometimes it seems people lose interest mid-sentence? I've always attributed it to shrinking attention spans but perhaps I should adjust so as not to be left in the dust.

Hi! Fellow vegan here. Just wanted to note that there is no one set formula to what a man will or won't like because they're all different of course! I used to be obsessive about shaving until my SO told me one day that he actually prefers armpit hair. So here I am. Good on you for putting forth the effort and thought into yourself as a woman. I hope you find what you're looking for. xo

My boyfriend has already made it clear he'll be using a prenup when we get married and I'm OK with it but I'd rather keep it a secret because, you're right, people like to shame and call it unromantic.

He said I deviated from his norm but was proof he's attracted to a wider (no pun intended) range of body types than he initially thought.

Glad you mentioned Dead Bedrooms. OP's partner wants to please her. Most people on DB don't want to engage with their partners or be intimate at all.

Nothing immediate. I've noticed he's more willing to "try" when things have been stellar between us for a long stretch of time, but that's about it.

Did you ask or did he tell you unprompted?

Did your SO tell you you aren't his physical ideal or did you make that assumption?

Congratulations on the weight loss! I've lost 30 and I know how dedicated you have to be to stick with it. You're awesome!

I recently sewed up a pair of pants my boyfriend really loves. The button popped off and there was a rip in the crotch area. He had been holding them together with a belt, lol. Sad to think you would've avoided doing something sweet for him in the past in the name of feminism. It's a nice to thing to do no matter the ideology! Good on you.

The worst thing you can do right now is express that bitterness. Unfortunately performance anxiety is exacerbated by pressure/expectations. Tell him how much you enjoy oral and don't let his lack of erection affect how often you are intimate. Stroke him and tell him it's OK to be soft. I've been with my partner for a couple years and he's had severe performance anxiety the entire time. It's all traced back to several instances (before me with other women) where he was shamed for being unable to …

During our breakup he was with several "tight bodied" girls and it fizzled out. One in particular was really into him but he said their lifestyles were too different. I really hope he isn't settling for me...
