Do you squat 65 lbs? Why? Why not just take a walk?

You can fucking work and recover from your nice guy syndrome at the same time. If you don't have a job getting one qualifies as progress in working on yourself. Even getting an interview qualifies. Writing a CV qualifies.

Thanks. Yes, I can get passive aggressive. I've hamstered that it's better than active aggressive, but even if that is true, and even if it doesn't show, it's not the best state to be in. Come to think of it I've even used it as a form of validation to feel superior to others. Example (maybe someone can weigh in on this) A colleague, previously unknown to me, sends me an email explaining that he's been tasked with writing new documentation for a poorly documented piece of software. His software …

I believe it. I have been butt-hurt as hell in the past and I've been nagging, pleading, negotiating and sulking. No wonder she's not attracted to me. My plan to turn it around is basically, get fit as fuck, be attractive and busy and show no butt-hurt. She assumes I'm butt-hurt at every initiation though, so it may take a long time. And if it doesn't happen, well, I'll be fit and I'll have some new skills.

Really? How can they all seem suspect? I think it seems reasonable to assume that a person with my height and weight would be somewhere in the range of those values.

Who's fault is it that you're not fucking enough? Oh, oh, I know this one.. mine. I get it. I need to work on me. I'm nowhere near ready to nuke anything. I'm just hoping I'll learn to lead before it gets to that.

Can you see how you're not the protagonist here? Because I wrote "for that to happen"? Yes. I could have said "it took me a week and a half to get it wet". Now you've created this huge covert contract Yes. Me even being here is a covert contract that I'm working on eliminating. Huh? Why? Because I want the release, and I'm not fucking my wife often enough.

OYS#13 Back from a 30 day ban. Thanks for the time-out Horns. It matches the JP4 measurement pretty well, but I'll keep it on the normal mode. I show some abs, but I don't have a …

I answered the question accurately and threw in a little bit of humorous hyperbole. I didn't actually think of you during, but it is true that your comment has been on my mind. I'm used to it, but not ok with it. I don't know how many times I jacked off the week before last. It wasn't on my mind as it is now. A guess would be two or three times. I believe you and I'm not aiming to waste anyone's time.

Thanks! I've read that. It's probably good advice for an anorectic or ectomorph, but I've never had a problem downing a whole pizza. At this point though, I don't want that amount of carbs. Had I been losing weight still, yes, then I would've taken that more drastic route.

I've gotten used to it. Two weeks is not too bad. Cutting porn and masturbation seems drastic. I don't see the connection between that and shitty initiations. Will have to meditate on that one.

Yeah, my BF goal was set when I was basically there. It was basically a way of saying I wanted to add mass without increasing BF %. I have increased mass, but I look leaner than I did when I set the goal. I have been keeping the goal in my OYS since I didn't want to move the goal post until I got to the date and evaluated. It would probably be more honest to not keep it though, as I know it is not achievable anymore.

Like you said, how do you look in the mirror. Focus on body composition. I look better now than I did at 16%. The reason I started tracking different BF measures is that when I started to increase mass after my cut during spring, I didn't want the scale to derail me, when I could clearly see that I was making progress. My plan is to stay on SL 5x5 until the gains dry up and then switch to RPT. I don't really care about how much I lift. I have just read the advice that it's good to increase stren…

I'm all for asking for help. I had the owner of my gym show me the exercises that I wanted to do (SL 5x5) and check that I did them correctly. He did this at no (additional) charge. But, I agree with u/weakandsensitive in that you should not under any circumstances make the trainer the one to keep you on track. It will waste money, but, most importantly, it will keep you from taking ownership of your own life. Also, who needs a trainer to do an hour of cardio?

Me: ”That’s not exactly fair on me. If you want space that’s cool but I would prefer to know where you stand on thinks so I can make my own decisions” So you explicitly ask her for permission to make your own decisions? I'm pretty sure: Her: “not sure” should be followed by something like: "I'm doing XYZ. It would be fun to have you there."

Ok, I smoked between '97 and '05. You may think you will crave it forever, but I last had a fag in '17 (yes, I'd been drinking) and it made me question my fucking sanity. It's a disgusting habit and if you just focus on an incompatible goal (lifting as heavy as possible comes to mind, but there may be multiple other candidates), you'll be able to keep the urge at bay for long enough to come o the same realization. I did them for a day but then dropped it for not having whey protien to consume after the workout. If ever there was a weak excuse for not working out... WT(actual)F? I did at least a hundred pushups every day when I started keto. Ran five or more miles three times per week during the same period and didn't consume a single protein shake. Just eat and lift (your own weight or iron, I don't care).

Good news is that I'm finding the lifting (just started), and other exercise really rewarding in itself, which means I will probably keep it up. When I get bored I will just shift to another form of exercise. Your article on the Epic Shit Test, I've read before, but it made more sense to me now, on the second reading. I am considering Keto to quickly cut the fat, but am concerned about the associated energy loss I was low a couple of days, but have been on it now since February and is just fine. It didn't affect my exercise capacity at all. If anything I could run for longer before feeling fatigued. Your miles may vary of course.

Well, if you got excess body fat that won't be a problem. If you don't, well, then don't be on a fucking deficit. How hard can it be to google that shit? If you want to be on a deficit, without being hungry, try keto.

The trick is to eat meals high in volume but low in calorie density that will give you a sense of sense of fullness. I second this. I went Keto in February and it's like a cheat code. Lost 24 lbs and went from 23% to 16% body fat. Why don't they teach this shit in school? Cabbage can replace pasta, rice, and potatoes and make you full in any meal. And with virtually no limits on butter, cream, and cottage cheese (damn, any cheese) everything tastes great! Also, zucchini is great for a lasagna.
