Oh no, I absolutely don't think vasectomies are a reasonable bc method for anybody looking for a temporary solution; I was moreso going off my original comment in which I mentioned them in regards to men who don't want children - but maybe I didn't imply the necessary permanence in that statement. I think that my dilemma is how much of a woman's issue it is. As you said, FAM is very much on me to track, and really only works if I have a predictable cycle. And copper IUDs often increase the severity of period bleeding/cramping, which doesn't make them a great option for many women, including myself. That said, they are options, so better than nothing! I don't foresee any additional non-hormonal options for birth control coming about in the future, especially since hormonal bc has taken ove…

Can I ask what your suggested alternative is? I definitely agree that hormonal birth control isn't necessarily the best option. Honestly, I wish more men (who didn't want children, of course) would take vasectomies into serious consideration.
