Selling yourself out to perverts and beckoning to their creepy fantasies on a regular basis sounds really harrowing tbh. Having to deal with the “lonely dweebs” all day while pretending like they sexually stimulate you on a screen sounds worse than being the one paying. I feel awful for those women, it’s really sad that our economic model forces some people to do that

Using a different name or a VPN wouldn’t matter. it’s using your face, which you can’t change.

I don’t know why people assume that there won’t be AI that matches up someone’s face with everything they’ve ever put out online (deleted or not) within the next decade or so. There has already been so much progress on this.

Why are we attacking people who use the loophole rather than attacking the loophole itself? We create incentives for people to do this shit and attack people when they do. Meanwhile Reddit, who is responsible for this loophole being possible, gets showered with money as we try to keep some dude in the public eye. It’s so fucking dumb. We’re all so fucking dumb

Shitting on nobodies makes Reddit feel powerful. Maybe if they could put the same pressure on police brutality or voting corruption this site wouldn’t be such a joke

Absolutely. I’m sure many “incels” are created because people are shitty to them and it really chips away at their confidence. There are so many shitty people out there unfortunately. But not all of them and not even close

I agree that listening is a fundamental form of caring. The problem is many “incels” build up an image of women as cruel and selfish in order to feel better about their self perception of being undesirable. Therefore when encountering woman that listens and cares about the opposite sex’s needs, it makes him angry because it conflicts with his projection of women as a succubus and illuminates the compassion he’s missing out on.

Interestingly enough, if your body is already chiseled controlled-studies have shown that women aren’t going to want you more if you get hugely strong. It’s actually men who spend the most time visually measuring other males strength. If you’ve ever gotten shredded you’ll realize how much more attention you get from guys that girls. However it’s not a sexuality thing, but a biological trend to estimate how likely you could defeat that person in a physical challenge for resources, mates, or prest…

Using The Room as an example definitely doesn’t support your argument because it was universally panned as a bad movie (arguably one of the worst in popular culture), so to use it in your example does more harm than support your argument. I mean, there are so many better examples. For example the Netflix movie “Hustlers” that came out in which a lot of robbery and pretty evil crimes are committed because they’re Wall Street guys and they deserve it while the woman are definitely portrayed as the…

So many men stop initiating sex in relationships. Men are programmed to be interested in novel sex while women generally prefer companionship and connecting with a known sexual partner, so many relationships die when the man in not interested in initiating sex in a long-term relationship

You said only 1% of people watch “weird” stuff on porn, but the author specifically said, “Probably 30 percent of people exclusively watch stuff that you would find disgusting.” The 1% only applied to the elderly porn.

That’s what I always thought was so funny. For a subreddit about “men going their own way”, they really talk about women a sure lot

But if the woman has sex with other people how will the man legally own the woman? Furthermore, let’s say the man needs to make a barter, how does he know the exchange rate of, say, a woman-to-ox if the the woman has been tainted by her hysterical and sexually pervasive ways? /s (obviously)

yes, truly interesting the application of economics into the sexual sphere. Makes sense when you realize economics isn’t the study of money, but the study of scarcity

It’s not though. Things were very different 30 years ago. For example, non-heterosexual marriage was illegal and most people supported this. Now that has completely flipped and that’s just in the last decade. This shows how radically different societal viewpoints can be in a short period of time. Please find more relevant data because 30 years old is okay for a history paper, but god awful for an accurate representation of a rapidly changing social landscape.

I agree with you. Skill cultivation alone is no recipe for self fulfillment. The individual needs to truly explore what skill connects with their strengths and environment, then have the resources/time to cultivate the skill, and all while not being limited by the monotony and exhaustion of capitalistic society. Honestly that’s pretty fucking hard to do. Just putting your head and in a book and trying to learn Mandarin probably isn’t gonna give you a feeling of fulfillment unless that’s directly…

Cultivate skills through self improvement —> do something productive with those skills —> self fulfillment. You can’t just skip to the last step as nice as that’d be. I don’t know you nor the skills you currently posses, I’m just speaking in general terms. It’s silly to look at ambition as some sort of “cult”. Honestly that just sounds like the kind of cognitive dissonance we tell ourselves so we can feel better about our own inaction and laziness.

Ah yes, a healthy place to vent I would say. Although I’d argue the internet is so much more than a location if sadism and porn.. It truly provides a vast network of sources offering unlimited potential personal growth. There’s free classes (online schools such as Khan Academy, free tutorials on YouTube teaching any instrument/hobby you could imagine (I found piano particularly comprehensive), and online hubs for gaming/friendship building. Though yes, many many many people limit themselves and …

Hey man/woman, you’re not a miserable fuck. And you know what, if you are that’s good! Take it from me, the joy of once being a miserable fuck is that if you turn things around and succeed you can be that much more proud of yourself. And the success will so much better after being so miserable, it’s kinda weird but that’s relativity. YOU CAN FUCKING DO IT. Just focus on changing one small thing at a time and don’t expect to change overnight. And above all, try to be grateful for the little thing…
