True, they aren't the same thing in terms of what, exactly, is being removed. However, removing a male's foreskin is still completely unnecessary and men do have a point in arguing that the practice should be banned without consent (i.e. adult cosmetic surgery). FGM is terrible, but we need to wake up to the fact that circumcision is outrageous and should be banned also. I'd really like to address some of your issues. I agree with a lot of your points (standardization of circumcism, different treatment in primary school, lack of male role models, lack of "boys only" clubs, selective service). Interesting, but I also believe women perceive alpha-ness or beta-ness in terms of what they find turns them on. Some women might actually find someone who is a world-class hacker to be alpha if he has the right personality traits, even if he is physically just average, because they perceive "power" differently. Again, there is a conquest factor here. It certainly includes a complete loss of control, but that is the kink in and of itself. For some it may be the denial of responsibility, but it goes deeper than that. It is like an ultimate dominion mentality.
