and he said he would let me know. There's your answer. Don't nag. He may be checking to see if you can trust him to follow through on what he said without being clingy. Just go with your friends and have a good time. If he comes, great. If not, don't sweat about it. There's always next time. If he doesn't come, maybe send him a "You missed a great time with X, Y, and Z. ;)" Show you had a great time anyway without any "I missed you" clingy-ness. Edit: If you do decide to text him, pick your tone…

Also - skirts. I find it difficult to find dresses that fit me because of my shape and height. Skirts can help here because I only have to worry about them fitting the bottom half. :)

As others have said, start small. I'm actually going through the same thing myself and here's what's worked for me: I paid a pro to shape my eyebrows I never knew how to groom or shape my eyebrows. I have always kept the strays in check, but they were never shaped and are a bit bushy. I went to a pro, told them I needed The Works and let them do their thing. the difference is amazing! I feel so much more groomed and feminine when I look in the mirror now! Now I have more motivation to work on my…

I'm so glad to hear that my comment was helpful and that all is well! I was more than a little concerned that my talk was too "real". May the Sun always light your path and warm your back. :)

I agree with everything you said here. I just wanted to challenge OP to really look hard at what her priorities and motivations are and what kind of lifestyle she's expecting a husband to provide for her. Even better, WHY she wants that lifestyle (whatever it may be). Modern society has produced a lot of people who feel they need a certain lifestyle, when in fact, they would be much happier with less. Saying he "doesn't have direction" is not fair, IMO. "He's not moving in the direction I want t…

RealTalk incoming - brace yourself. :) He does have a direction - art. You just don't agree with it or trust him. By already thinking of leaving him because he might not "make it", you're already sabotaging the chances that he will make it. If you're going to help him succeed, you need to believe in him even when he doesn't. You need to trust him that even if he doesn't make it, that he will still find a way to provide for his family. If you force him to "get a real job", you're compromising the…

Here's a revelation I had last night. It may or may not apply to you. I need to make a point of making sex something I think about regularly. By nature, it just doesn't enter my consciousness much, but I think that's because I've been repressing my sexuality instead of embracing it in a feminine way. In practical terms: I want to shop for lingerie more. I want to fantasize more. I want to wear sexy undergarments more - for no reason other than that it makes me feel sexy. To me, undergarments are…

Kitchen: Hang peg-board on the walls and hang your pots, pans and utensils. There's lots of pictures online of this kind of setup and it really helps if you have limited cabinet space. Other decorating: I like to get fake trees from Goodwill and then put christmas lights in them for soft mood lighting. You get the benefits of the lighting AND having some greenery in the house.

"I appreciate your help with these things so much, Babe. I don't know what I'd do without you." :) Be careful that there's not even the hint of sarcasm though or it will sound passive-aggressive.

To me it sounds like your actions are telling your SO that you are committed to your mother and not to her. The "apron strings" have not been cut, so to speak. This woman knows that she has precious few years left to find a man, get married, and start a family, and your actions are telling her that you're not interested in being that for her. After 35, pregnancy becomes much more difficult and elusive, and if she wants to have more than one child, she really has to get started soon. She knows th…
