Please consider leaving her. I went through something similar with my ex-wife and my daughter, who was 9 years old at the time. What began as subtle differences in how she treated us and small signs of resentment eventually escalated into full blown abuse, theft, and threats. It didn’t improve with time, it only got worse. Looking back, I wish I had trusted my instincts and walked away at the first signs of that behavior. But like many things, it unfolded gradually and became harder to recognize…

Note to self: Get rid of old wedding photos and stop getting drunk every night.

Bro. I still miss her. But not her NPD and shitty kids.

What is weird is it was always fire. Even after I served her I had sex for 6 months twice a day. Her way of trying to change my mind I guess.

I was there. Ex wife is a hot Latina with DD and a slim waist. She’s someone else’s NPD issue now.

Shoot. Portland isn’t doing me any favors with its tatted up face pierced women.

You mean your ex wife looks like a troll?

Damn bro, I’m afraid of going that route, landing a fatty or an ugly younger girl.

I feel exactly the same as OP by my ex-wife was smoking hot with a banging body. Me at 44 I just don’t see ladies within 4 years of my age attractive. Maybe it’s just the area I live in. I do make 6 figures, have a six pack, drive a nice car and have a home. But I’m short and haven’t been able to land a date in 2 months of trying. I see some, not many, good looking women on online dating apps my age but I’ve failed to match or get anyone’s attention online or in real life.

That's deep man. I was lied to, initiated the divorce, but still can't stop missing her as well. For days and counting, zero contact (my choice).

Go through my posting history. She had extreme NBD. Too much to rant here. At one point she taped a threatening letter to my car window against my teenage daughter. She so dumb she forgot I have driveway cameras. But she unplugged my internet, ha, local network! She also called DHS on me saying I raped my daughter. Later in our relationship her friend accused me of rape, I said, give me the police report. Her and her friend were bluffing.

I am 45M, served my wife in June, divorce finalized and she moved out 12/20. The entire time she initiated sex with me which really messed me up in the head. And of course was extremely difficult to say no. There was a lot of crying, begging and manipulation. Then the next day she would go back to arguing, gaslighting and being mean to my daughter. She had an IUD but I always felt she was trying to trap me with a kid together. Edit: Prior to being served we were intimate 1-2 times a day over 6 y…

Yep. I was there for 3-6 years. Hyper sexual woman, beautiful face and body. Divorced her because she was a narcissist, could not stop lying to me. Intimacy 3 times a day couldn’t cover up the shit I was put through.

I need to read this right about now. 30 days from finished divorce. Still feeling destroyed, hopeless and depressed.

The problem is she picked a criminal law attorney instead of family practice. Her attorney is an ambulance chaser who boasts on his website he’s proud he convinced a judge to let off a felony drunk driver who was pulled over with a suspended license while texting. I feel he is operating on his own and leading on my STBX with promises he cannot keep. I made a good faith offer of $5k so she had moving expenses covered. His counter offer was $60,000.

I'm in a very similar situation in Oregon. Married 2 years 10 months to filing date. We both have kids with prior spouses. No shared assets or liabilities, house in my name only, owned prior to marriage. Non-community property state. I just had my first court appearance for a status check-in. Judge said no to split equity, 401k and to spousal support. However, her attorney is still pursuing it. If they end up getting half my assets, they will have to take half my debts/liabilities such as credit…

Oregon: not allowed to I cannot drop her from my insurance even though it’s open enrollment. I also cannot remove her from my auto policy until the divorce is finalized. This was per my attorney’s instruction.

My employer has an employee assistance program which allowed me to talk with a therapist and the company pays for 8 sessions. Might want to check if you have similar benefits.

Crap I didn’t think about that. Purely by mistake.

That’s heavy man. This would be my main concern. There was no infidelity, she wants to stay married, but we failed to blend our family and she treats my daughter poorly so she must go. No amount of counseling could change her behavior.

Ahhh I see. She’s begging me to go and then she will flip the script. Her friends don’t know we are getting divorced and she still wears her ring, I don’t.

Elaborate? I still do enjoy her company but we are just not right as life partners/married.

Yeah, my concern is it will be used as proof of reconciliation. But we are amicable. And I tell her before we do anything together or anything she asks me, "you know were getting divorced right?" Just so it stays fresh on her mind.

Her 2 kids, not mine. I have one daughter. Their biological father pays support but otherwise they don't know who he is.

“White knighted”. I have never heard that term but accurately describes my situation. To the OP, read through my post history. I married a single mother with 2 kids 100% custody. It has been a nightmare for my daughter and I.

Do it now. I made the mistake of not doing it sooner. From day 1 of our marriage it was doomed and unhealthy. Now it’s complicated to unravel since she has moved into my house with her 2 kids, yet doesn’t contribute to the mortgage or bills.

I haven’t divorced. I’m just walking to that cliff and trying to jump. Hence I have a divorce coach and therapist to help reinforce the right decision. I hope I don’t need to pay alimony. She has increased her standard of living. I have helped her triple her salary. She has kept a separate apartment unknown to me for some time. The apartment she has had for 10 years. Far before I met her. Hope that gets me off the hook that she does not have a reduced standard of living. I have my first attorney…

Together 5 years. Married 3. I blew through all the red flags because of my past trauma and PTSD.

I’m in your shoes. Toxic marriage, bad environment for my daughter and her 2 kids. Failed family and individual counseling. It’s tough. Got a divorce coach and therapy from my employer which is helping me make the choice I know is the right one, divorce.

She treats my daughter poorly. She has double standards where she lays down rules on my daughter but allows her boys to do whatever they want. Her boys have been caught lying. Bullying at school and stealing and do not get punished. But my daughter wears shorts that are too short or walks on carpet with shoes on she demands she gets punished and verbally argues with me in front of her. She has called her names aloud, planned vacations specifically uninviting my daughter or purchasing tickets for…

Don’t do it. I made a similar mistake with a divorced mother with 2 kids 100% custody. She made minimum wage and spent all her 401k on trips prior to us meeting. She is in college so you can imagine always busy. Which leaves me in charge of her 2 kids and mine 1 to parent, get to appointments and financially support. Her child support is off and on. I wish I would not have married her and walked away but she was charming and beautiful. Now I’m stuck and unhappy and it has wrecked my relationship…
