You could try and hang out at bars very close to the hospital. They will go there after work to decompress. I spent 6 months in the hospital once and the nurses would talk about going to a bar that was right across the street all the time. This was over 40 years ago however times may have changed. I also knew a guy who would hang out at a hotel bar near the airport looking to hook up there.

Make sure your financial papers are locked up, leave something of modest value out to see if she will steal it, put something in your medicine cabinet that will fall out if she opens it, tell someone who is coming over or where you are going even if you just text yourself.

Get a job where you meet a lot of different people. Fire fighter, lifeguard, salesman, service worker, nurse, physical therapist. Stay away from jobs that keep you isolated.
