You are going through stages of grief and self blame is one of them. Be careful about what you say to her, her family and friends and don't admit that it was all your fault. When it's all done and you get passed this stage, you will realize the true reasons why you behaved like that and why your marriage broke. I made this mistake and called her family, brothers, sisters entire community and cried and told everyone that it was all my fault and I truly took all the blames and carries this huge me…

Saw in your comments that she came back after the first breakup with an STI. Be glad she’s gone. That’s not loyalty or love, and you don’t need someone like that in your life. You’re dealing with attachment and confidence issues not a soulmate situation. Never let a woman define your world and worth. No matter how attractive someone is, there are countless women out there who are better matches for you in every category. My advice to you, focus on yourself, hit the gym, read books (highly recomm…

This can be a solid step by step strategy in abusive or truly high conflict relationships, where there is real physical or financial danger if a woman openly says, “I’m thinking about divorce.” In those cases, secrecy can be self protection. But pushing this as a one size fits all plan is where it becomes damaging. I’m really sorry you’re going through this. I genuinely feel for you, and please take this as honest, brotherly advice. You don’t keep a marriage together through control or strict boundaries. That only creates bigger problems down the road. You did the right thing by trusting her and giving her freedom. Don’t blame yourself for not policing her behavior, especially around social media. I truly believe this was going to happen regardless, and you’re focusing on the wrong cause. Deep down, you pr…

Best comment. Please take this comment very seriously. I'd like to add that besides taking half of your assets down the road, she wil cause so much mental damage that takes you years to partially recover. You will never be the same person. She will play the victim, devalue you, making you question your identity, value, leaving you in a state of agony that will hit you much harder than it did when you seperated about a year ago.

This is such an amazing and profound piece of advice. OP, please take it seriously. Right now, you are underestimating yourself and the man you can become. You need to love yourself. You matter. You have the power to change your life. Once you start trusting and believing in yourself, others will begin to do the same. The role of a father in a child's life cannot be overstated. It is vital. Many children who grow up without their fathers struggle emotionally and carry trauma for years. You are n…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
