Lie like some women do about their number of past partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/26 03:05 PM

Comparing ancient history to modern times isn’t fair. For example, if I was some alone guy in a small village where some Lord took a wife and a handful of gfs, had a small groups of friends that were his muscle, not much I could do. The laws back then were different. People were more likely to believe in religious ideals, so the alone men would suicide because it was a “sin.” Thus the lords had their buddies, but could also conscript the single men for sword fodder if needed. Today we have insta…

I agree. There is no reason for any attitude. I can see being upfront about it, but I can also see not and just going on the date. It is one date and I still would pay. I do not do fancy first dates at costly restaurants so it isn’t like I am spending hundreds of dollars. As the date progresses, if I’m into her, I’ll ask if she wants to have sex toward the end of the date. If she says no, I’ll respect that and mark her as not my type. If she says yes, then she is my type for continued dating and…

So the majority of women have had casual sex of some kind. So fast forward to the future. She is on a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd date with a guy who wants to have sex after the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd date. If the sex doesn’t happen, he stops seeing her and moves on. What exactly is the issue here? She no longer wants to have sex with such a short number of dates and isn’t into hookups are all any more. He wants sex early on and is OK with uncommitted sex. This is just sexual incompatibility. They are wanting di…

Now I’m really confused. Is your whole thought process that men need to tell a woman he has a date with that he wants sex before the date even happens? If I want a more sexually open woman, isn’t dating how you get to know that about her? You seem angry about men wanting first date sex, yet then seems to say that is an OK standard so long as the woman is also down with that. I agree, so what is the issue with a sex on the first date standard? A guy with that standard goes on a first date, makes …

If first date sex is “promiscuous hookeresque behaviour,” isn’t all casual sex the same? There are plenty of women, while maybe not the majority, who have had first day meeting sex with a guy they meet for the first time hours ago at a bar/club, on the beach during spring break, at a house party, or on a hookup app. Are all these women “ promiscuous hookeresque behaviour” types? Is this type of woman worthy of a relationship focused first date meetup if they have that sort of history?

I think the younger generations care about n-count more than they admit. I think it is mostly people wanting someone they can relate with sexual past wise. I know when I was in my 20s, it was common to talk about sexual past from time to time. Plus, people hear things about people from others. I think if someone feels they had the sexual experiences they wanted in life and they are more focused on starting a family, they likely will careless about the past.

I would say most men and women are picky when it comes to physical looks when they are dating. The pickiness however is really just wanting someone who matches their physical level. If the person is getting older and more desperate, they might relax their physical standards to some extent. I do think as a relationship moves on, and if it gets to the marriage state, some, maybe most, partners will overlook reasonable weight gain.

How is he punishing them though? Just because a person makes first date sex a requirement for advancing the dating relationship is not punishing those that don’t feel the same way. People are entitled to their dating and relationship conditions and others who disagree with those conditions are free to not date those people. This is nothing more than freedom of want and choice. Engaging in one’s freedom of desire is not punishing anyone unless the person is physically forcing the person to unwill…

What is wrong with his thought process here? So what if a guy or woman wants to institute a first date sex rule? Is that not their right? They don’t have a right to get sex on the first date or meetup, but they absolutely have a right to want that, pursue that, or make it a condition of advancing the dating relationship.

I think the point is that some women, like sorority girls, are part of a system that puts young people together. The guy who doesn’t have that system, has to stay home for college and live at home, etc. I would say is less likely to have the same access as the frat guys who have the same looks, personality, etc. as him. The issue comes when the sorority girl who had a higher level of social interaction, and thus a higher number of sex partners (committed, casual, or a mix), now is interacting wi…

Yet for some reason, many women go many years having casual sex. Not saying it is every week or even month, but they might date a guy for a few months, break up, hookup with two guys from a bar over the next two or three months. Also, I’ve read plenty of articles and spoke to plenty of women who say casual sex can be pleasurable and feel good, even if they don’t have an orgasm. You seem to paint all casual sex as something that no woman ever wants and it is only happening because they are drunk …

That’s what it is if she has casual sex when out at the bars or a vacation fling, but during a coffee date when she is looking for something committed, she withholds sex till the commitment. Withholding sex from a guy who wants to have sex with her until he commits to only being with her, is using sex to coerce him into getting into a committed relationship. Is this not an example of coercion?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/26 11:12 AM

I feel the coerce type situation happened to me. I was with friends and relatives at a club/bar. A cousin who was very big into casual sex, good looks, and about seven or so years older than me were both trying to hit on the same girl. I was the opposite of my cousin. Shorter, less muscular/athletic build. Being a late bloomer who had never had causal sex with someone I had just met, I didn’t have the game he had. Well, she chose my cousin to go home with. Before they took off, I asked her why s…

If a guy is seeing another woman casually and they are having sex, he might not care to do the long term game with another woman if he also desires sex from her. The main question is what are her requirements for sex to happen? If it is just a certain number of dates, OK, get to that number of dates, get to experience sex with her. For me, if she made me wait but not others in the past, that just means she would never get a marriage focused LTR from me. She could get casual/FWB or even short ter…

Except during her teen and early 20-something years where she had no issue having sex with a guy she had just met hours earlier on a hookup app, at a bar/club, on the beach during spring break, or at a house party. Why didn’t she make those guys wait? I’ve seen this story playout time and time again. I was even part of it a few times. Certain guys get the very lustful, quick to sex version of her, while other guy are put into another category where sex will happen, but only after certain conditi…

When it came to sex, I only had a few qualities I needed. One is that her sexual past had to be similar to mine. It didn’t have to be equal, nor did I have to have had more partners than her. We just needed to have walked a similar path in that aspect. The second was that if she had done something sexual related with past partners, she has to be willing to do the same for me. If she wasn’t, it is just sexual incompatibility. The issue of hoping into bed usually stems from when a first date or me…

I fell this is more of an issue for men in their 20s. Maybe some younger 30s guys. That being said, there is always a subset of guys who have gotten over the issue of rejection, know the approach isn't going to be recorded and put on blast, etc.. These guys will continue approaching. They will do it the correct way. Gage interest, and can take a hint if the woman declines. They won't pester, etc.. The issue is there are not enough of these types of guys. A decent percentage of younger men have m…

Some women took the catcalling issue to a whole new level. They basically said any unwanted interaction was an issue. The issue really was unwanted interaction from men they did not want interaction from. The hotter guys sitting at the bar, well any interaction from them would have been OK. One really issue was the guy not taking a hint. These criticisms are valid. However, the recent trend of uploading videos at gyms, parks, whatever, where the woman is wearing skintight, show everything type c…

The problem is a number of people don’t have a mess. Those folks usually want to avoid those that do. I think most people want to be able to relate to their potential life partner, and that includes past sexual experiences.

It is never an equal comparison when trying to look at the top 1% vs most everyone else. Men with lots of money, popularity, and to some extent not so much money, but some power like politics, will always get certain young women flocking to them. Do we really think these young women are totally in love with someone decades older? That their money and fame have nothing to do with the relationship? Yes, there is always going to be a higher beauty associated with youth, for both sexes. The main iss…

Most guys and girls I know of with high numbers got that way from drinking and partying. Past studies said 25% of college students, likely more, spend at least some time in the hookup/casual sex phase. Some do it a few times and nope out, start low key dating/FWB. Others never stop. It is very easy to find hookups if one has average looks and a not weird personality. All a guy has to do is be more assertive: Approach, dance, make small talk, don’t focus on one girl in a group, mesh with them all…

It doesn’t take red pill to have a decent number of ONS, hookups, FWB, etc. during one’s youth. Average facial looks, decent hygiene, and a slender build helps for looks. Even if one has the looks, also need a reasonable personality and the most important thing, actual interaction. This means going out as much as possible, spring break trips, drinking (the vast majority of casual sex, at least at the start, usually involve drinking in a college setting), etc. To me, the only way to “use” women f…

But one could change it. Just start dating casually and/or have short term dating relationships. Keep going to bars and clubs, party places, etc. for ONS experiences.

Why is dating around, seriously and casually, considered “all that” like it is a negative? Dating and hooking up is usually fun. As far as the feeling of regret being a problem, I’m not sure I follow. If one doesn’t want to have regret, remove that which is causing the regret, and then the problem is solved.

I don’t see what help there would be? The only real option would be to travel back in time during high school and college and date/hookup, which isn’t possible. One could just date around from their mid-20s to mid-30s. Maybe finally interacting with say ten to thirty women over the course of a decade would finally get the guy some experiences he was missing out on.

If she lies instead of just saying she doesn’t want to talk about it, then I hope the relationship doesn’t last. She is lying to get something out of me, I guess a possible marriage track relationship? The last thing I’d want is to be married to a narcissist. I’m not saying it can never be jealousy or insecurity. It’s just that so many people want to claim that’s the only two reasons sexual past is an issue. Some other reasons, that aren’t so negative in context: Being able to relate to the person. Ideals about sex and what it means. Not wanting to feel constant regret of having missed out on various sexual experiences while being with someone who didn’t.

Why does the kink of quick to sex have to be absurd? Is it absurd when a college girl whats some sex and hooks up with a guy from the bar she just met? Why is wanting quick sex absurd for some, but not others? Makes no sense. If two people want it, that’s great. If one does and one doesn’t, that’s just sexual incompatibility.

The only cure, for me, would be to gain more experience. Can’t really do that if one is in a committed relationship. If that means I’m never married or living with someone for a long term partnership, so be it. If kids were important, I’d just get someone pregnant and do the co-parent thing.

For the most part, people talk. Old friends get together, stuff is said. For me, I’d be asking about past. Ever had sex on the beach? Ever got frisky with someone at work? Ever have any erotic piercings?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 11:45 PM

Nope. People with an agenda just can’t let go of using those two negative terms to shame men for having deal breakers that have nothing to do with insecurity or jealously.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 11:43 PM

For me, absolutely. The thing is, if I wanted what she is no longer willing to do, or into, that is sexual incompatibility. Her having done things I’d like with someone else just makes the incompatibility even worse. The guy shouldn’t even care that she did thing with someone else, he should be ending the relationship over sexual incompatibility and find someone who enjoys the type of sexual life he wants.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 11:26 PM

Those two terms are used to shame men on this topic. The issue does not always have to be those two negative things. It could simply be wanting someone one can relate with. It could also be an issue where the guy does not want to have a constant reminder of what he missed out on in life. It isn’t about her actions, it is about his inaction. But no, we gotta try to paint guys who care about sexual past in the worst light possible. Why? So women have a better chance of finding a good LTR and don’t…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 11:21 PM

It matters. Why would a guy want to LTR up someone, especially a possible life partnership, who would be a constant reminder of what he never got to experience? That would just put me in a constant depression cycle. For me it wasn’t bitterness, it wasn’t jealously, it was not being able to relate with the woman and the constant regret I would have with her always being a reminder of what I missed out on.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 11:16 PM

Why is it unhealthy? If it is truly an issue, then men just need to date around till their mid 30s. Have some short term relationships, have some flings in between. Have sex with at least twenty women, make sure at least five of those are first date sex, ONS, vacation fling, etc. I think the more guys sleep around and gain a variety of sexual experience, the less likely they will be to develop retroactive jealously, FOMO, etc. when they want to start trying to find a life partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 11:08 PM

That’s right. No heat of the moment intimate passion for the guys the girl wants to be serious with. It would really suck to not be able to share such an amazing experience with someone who could possibly be my life partner. No, she saved those amazing sexual experiences for guys she cared less about. If I ended up LTR such a woman, I’d definitely suffer from low self-esteem as she would be a reminder of an amazing experience she didn’t want me to have with her. That’s why guys need to stop thin…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 10:58 PM

There is nothing wrong with having this belief, desire, etc.? If a guy dates a woman who had first date sex, casual sex, etc., and she didn’t want to move that fast with him, he is under no obligation to continue to court her if he feels that is a condition of dating him. Now, this condition might make it extremely hard to find a long term partner, but that is on the guy. Personally I think if people have similar sexual pasts, this usually isn’t an issue. He had first date sex, or causal hookups…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 10:42 PM

I feel that most hookups usually involve some level of intoxication to a point where even an average looking guy, possible even slightly pudgy, can get some sort of sexual activity. When I hear of sober hookups, it usually involves friends or coworkers who have been talking or at least interacting. The thing is, a hookup is just sexual activity without any sort of committed relationship. I think it is fine that a guy offers to pay. One major thing women are looking for in a partner is financial security. Offering to pay for the first meal, or coffee, is a first step guys should take. Now this next part is where guys need to get defensive. As a picky, non-foodie type eater (I am burgers, chicken, pizza, or say typical American fare), I can’t even do most fine dining. Even with my food preference, no first date should be at some high end, very costly establishment. I’m also not sa…

Lack of impulse control, usually connected with intoxication, is one. If a woman has 15-20 partners during college, and 90% were drunken hookups (both parties consenting, and neither is blackout drunk to be unaware of what is happening), this would be a red flag. What will she do if five years into marriage when she is on a girls trip and ends up drinking a lot more than she planned to and there is a group of guys flirting with the women? The same concerns apply to the men. Two guys I know who h…

How is it shaming women if a guy wants someone who has a similar low number of sexual partners? It is only shaming if the guy starts calling her names, saying her past actions were immoral, etc. Number of past sexual partners is no different from other things like debt load, income potential, views on having kids, travel style, political beliefs, where one wants to live in the world, etc. So long as one person isn’t calling names, criticizing the person in a negative manner, there is no shaming …

Resentment is another word with a negative context used to paint the guy in a negative light. If he resents the woman, then negative jealously likely applies. If he just resents missing out in general, then he has mental problems. Has it ever occurred to anyone that the guy just might regret having missed out? And as such, would rather not be with someone who is a constant reminder of what was missed? Of course not, we have to shame the guys by tossing out words like jealously, resentment, insec…

What do people think of this: Instead of asking for specifics from her, put it out there what you as a man can and can’t deal with. As a minimal experienced guy, I would explain I didn’t have a lot of past partners. I didn’t have ONS with people I just met. I didn’t party enough to engage in sexual undertone, silly fun stuff like strip poker, sexual Jenga, spin the bottle, streaking, skinny dipping, or strip beer pong. These street interviews are usually getting drunk people who will say anything. Plus, most anything aimed at making money could be scripted. Ask some girls if they want to go on camera, ask them to say something wild, crazy, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 09:45 AM

Why? One of the comments I always read is “The past made her who she is.” This is stated in a positive light, as she is a good person and significant other. If that’s true, why be offended about aspects of one’s life that plays a significant impact of who you are?

People only call it sexist because some women end up not getting their way. The thing is it isn’t sexist because plenty of women have the same issue. You get with a guy who slept with thirty different women, most ONS or short term flings, of course there is going to be worry if he will be able to control that past desire for casual sex. I agree. If a woman doesn’t want to discuss it, the guy needs to just let it go. Depending on the relationship status, he can choose to stay or go.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 09:29 AM

I see the typical shamming language being used for this topic. Never a post about this topic we don’t see these words. Mostly used to paint the guy in a negative light. He’s insecure. He’s not mature enough. Heaven forbid a man try to find a similar past partner he can relate with. No no no, it’s got to be something bad with his character when it comes to this preference. We can’t have a woman not get her way. If she wants a relationship, she is owned one. Even if she has thirty sexual partners …
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 09:27 AM

That was a reason in the past. Today I think the reason to know is mostly because people want a partner they can relate with in terms of sexual experience and past. There is nothing wrong with this preference. The woman does not have to provide the information, but if she provides false information, that speaks volumes of her character. Woman or man, when asked of this information, either refuse to provide any, or give the complete truth.

Plenty of women want to know if their male partner cheated on past partners. While past behavior will not be 100% confirmation on future behavior, it can give insight on the mindset of the person. Past mindset might be future mindset.

Some claim it is sexist because it is giving people power to make a decision the woman doesn’t want. It seems anytime a woman might not get her way, the underlying issue is painted a sexist against women. There are plenty of legit reasons to know a person’s sexual past that has nothing to do with insecurity or jealously. There is a reason for the phrase birds of a feather flock together. From a US perspective, it isn’t shocking. Too many people are total narcissist. Look at how people overspend on stupid stuff then demand someone else bail them out. Tax “the rich” and give me their money. Free college, free food, free mass transit, immaculate roads but no tolls or higher taxes to maintain them. Some people will engage in deceit to get what benefits them. The biggest issue is what comes later. These young women mature and start having extreme guilt. They worry the truth might com…

How do you prove the data? That’s the problem. The stats are nothing but unprovable statements. That being said, the lie detector study showed women under reported while men over reported, but the difference wasn’t substantial, maybe two more partners up or down. I think one reason people don’t believe the single digits is because certain incidents come up that make people think everyone’s numbers are high. The vast majority of murders, at least in the US, are blackmarket related. Likely followed by domestic (where the parties have some sort of ongoing relationship). Murder wouldn’t be the issue, sexual assault might be more of a concern, but I don’t see it any different than getting drunk and hooking up with someone you just meet. You are right. Intoxication likely plays a huge factor. Since most possible LTR goal first dates usually involve light, if any, drinking, it isn’t surprising there would be a lack of sex right after the first meet-up. I now see it both ways. On some level, if I was just really feeling the connection and wanted some intimacy, I might feel a bit down if I later found out she took a lot of strangers home in her past. The issue for you is that for “mature age” adults, society is still pushing the best version of a first date is one that does not involve the more advanced sexual acts. Guarantee if this wasn’t so ingrained in the culture, there would likely be more first date sex happening as there are defiantly women out there who would feel the same desire as they did for their past drunken ONS. This is what I regret most in life. Many factors, some of mine own doing included, caused me to be a late bloomer. Finally started dating at 20. Between still being more reserved and other factors, never got a chance to dive head first into hookup culture. The handful of times I did, the feeling of being desired, engaging in some non-intercourse intimacy, just felt nice. Even if there was no love, or promise of any sort of relationship, that desirability piece can really be something.

I would give such a woman a pass. Even if a young woman in her late teens had as many as five ONS in over the course of a few months. If she stopped that behavior and switched to more traditional dating, or even hooking up after three or more hangout/encounters (I consider those dates with current culture, even if not formal), that shows she is not being hypocritical. The issue is when she has double digit ONS that she engaged in from 18-27. It shows a pattern where she is OK with some casual se…

But of course. This is like some religious beliefs. Don’t do x, y, and z, but if you do, you’re forgiven and we still will accept you. First date sex isn’t immoral. If it is, then one’s immorality from their younger years stay on the slate and can be used when considering the person for a relationship.

Ah, of course we have the negative descriptors being used here. Entitlement being used over jealousy is different. These words are used to shame others for holding certain beliefs while trying to push a specific sex related dogma: Whatever a woman has done in the past sex wise is irrelevant to anything today (There is usually an exception for STDs). Pay this shaming attempt no mind. It is just as possible that the promiscuous past is causing questions of fairness, relatability, and how one is vi…

You aren’t insane, but I will throw this out there. Understand there is a societal belief that after one’s promiscuous phase (For US culture, I’d say mid-20s to late-20s, depending on region), putting out early is seen as getting painted as being easy. Society gives a pass on this behavior (to some extent, and individual opinion matters as well) so long as one was young and sowing their wild oats. When the women were told of the reason, did any say they actually were open to sex as the first dat…

You could communicate it by just being blunt and saying it. I think a tiny percentage of women would get the point. If they really felt you were LTR marriage minded, would likely be down with first date sex. However, talking about such an off the wall topic will more than likely seem weird to most, and likely kill any positive vibes the woman has for you. One issue is that for relationship focused women, society seems to dictate promiscuity be severely curtailed around one’s mid-20s or so. As su…

How is that degenerate behavior, or even weird? There are people who have sex after meeting someone for just a few hours. I know a guy who was part of a wedding party. He met a girl who was part of the bridal party. They both clicked. After the rehearsal dinner party, they slept with each other. Ended up married with two kids.

On another forum I read, one middle aged (likely older) poster said he has two FWB women (not a threesome type deal). They use each other for sexual pleasure and live their own lives. I also just read some other subs where people claim there are plenty of middle aged people willing to just be casual. Speaking with some folks in my own life, some claim that if their current spouse were to leave them or succumb to an early death, they would be happy staying single. Of course people say that, but I…

I agree. Everyone may want to try having sex with someone they have know for just thirty minutes to half the day. Some will find out that kind of casual sex just isn’t for them. If a woman did this two or three times in short order, then stopped, I wouldn’t hold it against her if she turned down first date sex suggestions. However, if she had multiple just-met-the-guy sex romps, I just see no reason to make another guy wait just because that interaction is like a dating for possible LTR status. …

It matters if one doesn’t want to feel treated differently when it comes to intimacy. It is just a personal preference. For me, if a woman made me wait a few dates in while she used to have ONS with people she just met at a bar/club, house party, etc., that is such a turnoff. I get the feeling she had much stronger lust for those people than me. I’d wonder if she would ever have the same level of lust for me in our relationship.

I get where you are coming from. If I were single and dating, if I suggested sex on the first date and was rejected, only to find out later their sexual history involved a number of just met the guy ONS, she would never be an LTR option. I refuse to be treated less than. Along the same lines, those who claim she matured and was no longer promiscuous, I’d wonder if the sex overall would be as exciting, fun, risk-taking, etc. Years ago I read an article by a sorority girl. She said that when the y…

It is sad reading comments about how past flings were more exciting, better, memorable, etc. I guess so long as the male half had the same life experience, then maybe it wouldn’t be an issue. If my wife said she had much more exciting sex in the past and we’ve been together for years, I’d want to know what is missing to make it more exciting. I’d also fear that if it was flings or risk taking that made the past sex the best, could that happen if life got rough? Maybe one of her parents passes aw…

Just because the women are happy doesn’t automatically mean the men are happy. Even if the men claim as much, are they being truthful? Ideally both parties would have the same level of satisfaction in the relationship. Are these husbands ranking their wives the best sex while the wives rank them lower than past lovers? Ouch. As a guy, I’d want to know why that is. I’d also be almost fearful that I’d made a mistake and missed out on something when it came to sex and intimacy before settling down.

I find it odd that people would settle for anything less than at least equal to their best past sex partner? If a past partner did something that was better, why settle with someone who can’t provide that same sexual experience? I think the biggest issue facing future relationships is what the OP hit on. The minimal experienced partner is going to have trouble dealing with a partner who has experienced much more with sex. It won’t matter if the sex is great, maybe the best for both. I dealt with…
