I guess so, it's a possibility.

I was bullied by a popular boy at my school when we were around the age of 12-13. I was not really popular and not really unpopular either, I had my own small group of friends I hang out with. Years later - we were 15-16 years old - it turned out this same boy was in love with me. It really suprised me. I actually dated him for a short time, he said that he just found me interesting and his bullying was his childish way of getting my attention.

For me its extremely important.

I'm 38 and I don't feel this way. Ofcourse I can see it when a young man/woman is beautiful, but I feel more attractive to older man/woman, from around my own age (30 - 45).

When a person is crying everyday it gets a bit annoying, but that would be the same for a woman. But it's totally fine to show your emotions and cry on a funeral and in many other occasions. I wouldn't think that a man is weak, it's the opposite: It's strong to show your emotions, bc it shows you have so much self esteem that you dare to be vulnerable.

My husband don't care. I do have two really good male friends. We're friends for 18 years now, so I knew them long before I met my husband. We still see each other with/without our families. Our kids play together, I like their gf's very much. It's just fine. Stop being so scared for the other gender, not everything is about sex.

This! My husband and I do both. We have kids together and we're both independent and have our one career. I don't see why it's the one thing or the other? We don't live in poverty, far from that, bc we both invested in our career and we both take care of OUR kids and OUR house. It's a shared responsibility.

We are just an example of a LARGE group of people. We met each other before money was even a real subject. Now we are 35-40 and money still isn't a subject in our love life, even thought we earn plenty. We just know each other from before our careers started to explode. You can't just ignore that there are different ways and timings of meeting each other. You just think about a really small amount of people who use Tinder XD

No, it doesn't. And no, thank God Tinder didn't even existed back then. My husband didn't had any money when we met (me neither). Life/Love is so much more then money. Climb out of your bubble and look around you.

Why would it be with him? She can't do it with everyone, right? Bc then you immediately will start to slutshame her. But - off all man - she has to do it with him (+ all the other guys who call themselves beta). It's so funny you don't see how hypocrit that really is XD.

Why would I even care about if men do/don't 'go for me'? I'm not interested anyway.

Not every man is the same, so she can just be honest. Real man can handle it, bc they're not so insecure.

I guess that's because succesful woman know a lot of succesful man, and since society still reward man more for the same work and a lot of the load of childcare is on woman, it happens a lot that they hook up with man who are earn more. But it's not that she 'demands' any of this.

A lot of man are sayin this, but it's not really true. At least not in my social circle where woman earn enough money to take care of themselves. Ofcourse it's nice when a man is also financial stable and independent, but most woman don't need anyone to provide for them.

This is not about me. I'm together with my husband since age 22. Although I don't feel the urge to shame anybody.

In average man have sex with 6,4 partners in their lifes and woman have sex with 7 partners. So I don't think ALL woman are go to the sex casino at all. It's just a small group woman and a small group of man that are having higher rates. And another group who are having just 1 or 2 sexpartners and a really large group somewhere in the middle.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/20 02:23 PM
7

Right! That's not what I see when I look outside my window, in the real world. Most man don't age well at all. They're overweight, lose their hair and aren't fresh anymore like the twenty- somethings in the gym.

I don't share that kind of believes, so I can't explain why they exist. I don't even think it's true. There are always two sides/ two people involved when a relationship is over, so it isn't about shift blame, it's just 50% of the story.

I'm together with my husband for 15 years now. So I don't recognize anything you just wrote. When I look at my (F) friends, they never had problems finding a good, stable man around the time they were 30. In real life nobody is even talking about numbers, it isn't really relevant anyway.

Tinder is also full of single fathers that made poor decisions. Or... sometimes it just turn out that it doesn't work anymore between two people. A good decision can turn out to be a bad decision 10 years later. People are changing and growing, so it's very clear how things like that happen. Patterns exist, but you can't blame all woman for some experiences you had with maybe 1 or 2 girls. And above of : didnt you made the same mistakes yourself? You can't deny your own responsibility, relations…

A lot of guys don't learn to take good care of themselves and they don't learn to do any basic chords. So, they stay dependent for their hole lifes. This is not really attractive. Also a huge percentage isn't financial independent, so that's another thing that doesn't really fit with most modern woman, who are well educated and have decent jobs and want some equality in their relationships. Overall a huge percentage of man are kind of lazy and acting entitled. They think everything has to go the…

Which wall? I guess people in general get more serious around the time they finish their study and have their first real job. It's the same for man. In my social circle man are even extend this period a bit longer till they're 35-40.

Both man/woman can have (and often have) an experimental phase in their twenties. Both man/woman often get more serious around the time they're in their late twenties/thirties. So what's the big deal? They both make some poor decisions, bc they have to learn and grow. Also priorities change during these years, that's very normal. It isn't something exclusive for woman, with man being the big victims, or something. Rejection hurts, I get that. But you can't blaim ALL woman your pain, bc some girl…

Woman allready know that, they're paying for all of your shit AND working from 6 am till 10 pm (paid + unpaid hours) in and out of the house, simply bc you aren't and it still needs to be done. It's her decision, but it's his decision too. If he don't want to have kids, don't want to take care and don't want the responsibility, he's free to get a vascetomy, use condoms to protect himself, or don't have sex at all. If you do decide to have kids, it's your duty to take care of them. It's even in the law. You cannot just spray your sperm around and play stupid afterwards.

He made the decision to be a father. He's primary responsible for 50% of the work/care load at home. Without her, he wouldn't even be able to do his job, bc he has to be at home with his kids.

The SAH parent is doing everything during the day, while the other one is at work. The hours both parents are at home, they're both involved doing some household chores & taking care of the kids equally. When everything is done, both parents can sit down and relax. A couple of nights a week, the unpaid-working-one will have things to do outside the house, like going for diner, exercise, or going to the movies or something. The paid-working-one is staying home to take care of the kids. And ofcour…

For me it isn't. I love my job and I hate household chores (we have a cleaner). Taking care of a baby + toddler is a lot of work. You clearly didn't ever took care of a baby/toddler, haven't you?

I'm just sayin that you can't expect that the other one is doing all of the practical + emotional work + household chores + taking care and raising your kids + working ft, while you just stick with 1 task (working ft), and don't even want to compromise. That's not how society works nowadays.

Most men I know, don't want to work less. Even when it's possible, bc there wife earns a lot, they just refuse. So, I dont get why this would be my problem , or the problem of other woman? My husband can quit his job tommorow and we would be fine, but he don't want to. I get that. We both love our job and we don't like household chores at all (It's so boring XD)
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/20 11:54 AM

Mostly when the woman is starting to have a (paid) parttime job, she's working double unpaid hours, bc she's taking care of a baby/toddler + doing most of the household chores. When you sum up all of the work (paid/non-paid) the woman is working much more hours then the man in the relationship. My husband and I both work 32 hours a week and I earn more then him. We both taking care of our kids on our free days and share the load on the day we both work. I'm not willing to take all of the emotion…

The post was about (F)celebrity's. Most of the time they earn more then the men they are with, simply bc they're famous for a reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/20 06:39 PM
11

That isn't always true. A lot of (woman)celebrity's earn a lot more and they aren't in any need of more money. It's just that when you're succesful as a woman, you meet other succesful/rich people all the time. So it's just logic that they fall in love with someone in their own social circle.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/20 06:24 PM
1

No. Woman earn their own money nowdays, so they don't need your money. For me (F/38) it's actually not even a factor, bc I earn enough and don't need anything from anyone. It's nice when a man is independent, bc then we can have an equal relationship, but that's it. Maybe it's a cultural (American) thing? In my country woman aren't so materialistic in their love choices.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/20 06:21 PM

Just enjoy your time. Maybe you can think about activities that you like doing anyway and invite a nice woman to do it together? Even when she is not right for you, you will have fun doing what you like. You don't have to spend much, if you don't want to. When you really connect with someone, it's not about your money anyway, so why bother about that part?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/20 07:52 PM

A few things: What resources? Do you mean money to buy food, clothes, a house and other things? What about all of the woman who earn their own money? Why are they even in a relationship + having sex, when they don't need 'resources'? I agree sexuality in man/woman can be a bit different due to hormonelevels, but personally I never had sex in my life to accomplish anything. It's just for my own pleasure/bc I like the act itself/ the dynamic with my partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/20 07:19 PM

I disagree. Fortunately my own experience is very different.

It's his house, so when he stops 'helping out' he lives in his own shit. Nice one XD And... hello 2020?? Most woman earn their own 'resources' and actually like to have sex, so it's not a gift, not something only he wants and she permit. When you love each other truly, nobody wants something from the other. It''s just that you like to be around and like to interact in many ways. Both partners invest their time/ energy/ love in the same way.

Woman who are interested in sexting or short sex contacts, may not like to see a dick pic in the first message. You're jumping to conclusions too quickly.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/20 01:06 PM

But they are (a huge part) of the other side of the story, so it's really weird to only discuss woman. It's also about 'receiving' this messages, so who are the people that send them? It's kind of relevant, do you think? XD

It's just really annoying when someone is bragging about his accomplishments and money. I always hated when man speak like that when I were single. It's like they try to compensate their boring personalities and insecurity. A confident, nice man wouldn't need that kind of talk. Most woman just want a man who they can really connect to, talk to, laugh with, someone who is sincere and truely interesting in them as a person. You can go on the street and sale your penis to random guys. That's an option too. Go for it! We're together for much longer. My husband don't have a problem with my work/earnings/position, otherwise I wouldn't be with him in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/20 07:35 PM
1

My husband can easily decide the same thing, I earn a lot more. If he stop working I can provide for us all tommorow. The other way around It would be more difficult. For many years we both didn't have that option at all, bc we didn't have a relationship. So, we just did it all by ourselves, that was fine to (but still not an option to stop, bc nobody else was taking care of that part otherwise).
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/20 07:26 PM
1

There is another option: just don't make them in the first place, if you don't want them. Protect yourself, get a vascetomy if you don't want kids. Didn't you get any education about sex/reproduction/birth control?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/20 07:22 PM

So... what am I suppose to do, stop working? Kicked out of my house? Don't have anything to eat? Is that really an option? Nice one XD

It wasn't the only difference. She did the pregnancy/birth/breastfeeding on her own. A woman needs time to physical recover. It's not the same as a man who just had sex with her 9 months before and that's it. I agree that it would be really good when dads get paid time off. I hope this is going to be a common thing in many country's. My husband took time off after both of our kids (2x 1 month) and it was really nice and I definitely think it's the big reason why we are really sharing the load 50…

I (F/38) did earn my own money, from the age of 18. Never get anything for free, or for being in a relationship. I actually am the breadwinner all of my life and I feel fine. I think it's just normal for a grown up to earn their own money, it's isn't something masculine at all. You go to school and after that you go to your work. It's really basic.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/20 07:05 PM

No ofcourse not, but woman in general DO take responsibility for there kids, in love/ time/ energy/ practical/ financially, while dads are complaining when they have to pay a small part of the costs. It's ridicilous. I wish man just take a vascetomy when they don't want kids. It's really heartbreaking the amount of kids that just being abandoned by their own father.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/20 06:56 PM
1

That's only the first few months. And in that period a dad easily can do other tasks. You don't have to do all the tasks exactly 50%, you can divide tasks. It's really nice to do things together. My husband and I both work 30 hours a week and we feel both responsible for our finances, the tasks at home and our kids. It's not that hard.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/20 06:52 PM
1

Single woman are paying so much more. Think about all of the time and energy she's giving to her kids (in that time she cannot do payed work) and ABOVE of that, she's still paying more financially. It's not true that woman have all the power, bc they can do an abortion. It's your own choice as a man to have sex and don't think about birth control. Go to a doctor and have a vascetomy, or just use a condom. There are so many guys that don't even want to use them, it's so f stupid.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/20 06:44 PM
2

Get a vascetomy. Or don't have sex. Take your responsibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/20 06:27 PM
1

Dads just have to take care of their kids. Not only financially, but also spending at least 50% of their time with them, life with them in one house, get emotional connected and practical support. And yes, you KNOW that it cost 18-21y to raise a kid to a grown up. Take a vascetomy if you don't want to have kids. Or don't have sex! It's so f stupid to make a woman pregnant and then go away and complain about the costs.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/20 06:23 PM
1

You don't have kids yourself, that's obvious. I were at home the first few months after my kids were born, and it was so much harder then any of my work ever was. When I go to my work the first day, it felt like a little vacation. Drinking (hot) coffee, eating lunch, going to the restroom on my own. I was enjoying this easy time away. Most people (especially man) have no idea about the work at home with little kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/20 06:19 PM
1

Many woman don't even have a relationship. So they have to pay everything themselves, like every other grown up person. Woman aren't getting money for free, the pressure is as high as every other single person who can not share this responsibility. And many woman are taking care of others above of that (kids/ their parents).
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/20 06:01 PM

If you don't want to take responsibility for a child and you do want to have sex, you can have a vascetomy. It's that easy. When there is a kid ofcourse you have to take care of it and pay. It's your child, why would the mother be the only person to pay? Single moms pay way more when you think about all of the time/ energy they spend on actually raising the child.

I don't know about this behaviour in reality. I think it's a cultural thing. For me, it's very weird that woman are behaving like that. Everybody I know is just working hard and earn their own money, and/or take care of little kids which is also hard work. In my country, when your single (M/F) you have to earn your own money. I just think that when you get a child, you are responsible as a parent to take care. In my country it's even a law. It's not about men/fathers at all. It's about parents. When you don't want a child, please do a vascetomy! It's that simple. If you do get a child, you know from the beginning that it's a real person, it needs care, love, time, and it cost money, that's true for fathers AND mothers. 'The baggage' is getting smaller and smaller, so the meaning of having children is very different when your kids become adults with their own lifes. That's not a fact. Most fathers are actually seeing their kids. You can get divorced, but you never can divorce from your kids.

No, but he is still his own person and he 's still the father. There is a real person growing up without his dad, only bc his new girlfriend is more important then his child. I would never understand how woman are capable of being attractive to this kind of men.

This subject is about hypothetical situations. What would you do if.... So, obviously, I was thinking about what I would want, if I would ever be in that position again.

A lot of people make incredible working hours, or they have a time consuming hobby like horseriding, or motorcycling, or they go away for months travelling. I agree, that it isn't fun to have a relationship with someone who doesn't have time, but there are a lot of reasons why people don't have time. Kids are just 1 out of 100000000

It's ridicilous to think another man has to pay. Most woman just pay there own bills nowdays, remember? And most of the time there is stil a father involved, so they share the care & price, like they used to do when they were married.

Single mom isn't the equivalent of someone who made bad decisions. It's just a mom - most of them made a thoughtful decision to want kids - who got divorced.

As a parent myself I would definitely dismiss men who wants me to be a caregiver for their kids. I have 2 kids and that is my ultimate max. I don't want more kids in my life. On the other hand, I would never ask or want someone else to take care of my kids (apart of the father ofcourse and the grandparents). But, if we just have a loving relationship without the kids too much involved, it would be ok. Half of the week we take care of our own kids in our own houses and the other half of the week …

It depends. Especially when you're in your 40's the game changes, bc 85% has kids at that age.

The love you get as a parner isn't less, it's just that something higher exist in the life of a parent. That's something totally different.

No, not at all. Opening up is the beginning of having a real connection, so I'm actually glad when it happen.

I guess in the end, the differences aren't that big. Most people I know (M/F) just want someone who they can trust and share there values with. An experimental phase is ok, but we all want to feel special and wanted and loved. So it's nice when your SO have some values, so that you can be a bit more certain about him/her.

Every guy I get to know better, is waaaaay more emotional then I could have ever imagined. I'm a woman and very sensitive, so I always pressume I would be the more emotional person in my relationships. But the more I get to know men, the more I see how many emotions actually are there, but being forced to keep inside all the time. When they finally open up it's clear that there is so much frustration and agression inside, and on the base of it, it's just raw pain, like a lot of people have insid…

The reason is very simple: the sex itself without any other 'exchange'. Woman can have sex purely for their own pleasure.

It doesn't have to be a relationship. It's striking that for so many people (M/F) the main focus of sex is the pleasure of the men. Even in a lot of relationships it's really common amongs heterosexuals (the orgasm gap is just one factor). But also in lots of causal sex situations. The idea of giving money for sex is only logical when you see sex in this way. It always suprises me that this way of thinking about sex is so normal for such a great amount of people. For me as a woman, it sounds so …

I allready settled with a great men that likes to fulfill my needs and vice versa. I have no idea if you would type him as an alpha, or beta (and honestly I don't care about that stuff). He's just a wonderful man and we're having an equal relationship, so it's important to both of us how the other person feels/what the other person likes/enjoys. It just hits me, that it's so common to see sex as something (like a product/service) one person benefits from and the other one gives away, or sell (li…

It makes me a bit sad that sex is seen as something a woman is giving, or selling to a men. It's still only about the needs and pleasure of the man. He's paying, so he's getting what he wants and the woman is providing and thinking about what he wants/likes. What happened with the pleasure of the woman? Isn't that important at all?

Yes I did and I payed. Most men are really upset when you pay the bill on a date. It's ridicilous. For me it was a good test. I dont want to be with a man who thinks this way. My husband just said: thank you! And then invited me to a second date, which he paid for. It's not that hard to accept a gift from a woman and still act like a nice person.

Is this really a subject you talk about when you meet a woman? Bc I never talked about this stuff ever and I cannot imagine that someone would ask about n-count on a first date. It's actually non of your business.

Sex is a dynamic between two people. So when you want to compare, you better compare it to an activity that needs at least two people to even exist. The value of this activity lays much more in the dynamic/the interaction then in the two parts apart of each other. To consider the value depends on just one part of the dynamic, is wrong, it's always a combination. I never heard about a dynamic that only influenced 1 out of 2 parts. There are always two sides. When you do an activity often, you get…

No, there wasn't ever any signal. We even talked a night, lying in bed with a bottle of whiskey. He could have easily try something, but there wasn't any sexual attraction.

Why would I ask him? It doesn't matter, because it's not relevant. I actually don't care if I'm in the Want to fuck box, or Don't want to fuck box. I'm with my husband for 14 years and ofcourse there are men existing in this world I would like to fuck. But it's just not going to happen, so I'm not really paying attention. Do you think woman aren't sexual at all? The big thing is, I'm not available and my friend isn't available, so there isn't any reason to be interested in knowing if he wants to…

I don't know ALL men, or how ALL men think. I just say there is a great variety in the population of men. Do you really believe that billions of men all think/are/do exactly the same. It's kind of a weird assumption, right? Why would my friend hang around for 17 years, without making any step towards having sex, when he just wants to 'bend me over'. It's pretty lame to act like that, It's not making any sense. What an effort for nothing. Don't you think the chance is much bigger that he just lik…

Yes, for sure. I'm not super attractive like some models, but I'm good looking, a bit above average I guess. It's so funny that you think you know my friend better then I do, just because he is a men. Don't you think there are all kinds of people in the world? Why you believe they're all the same? I know when a guy is hitting on me. My friend most certainly is not. He has a long term relationship for many, many years and I know and respect his SO, and vice versa. But even in the beginning, when …

I don't agree. I have this male friend for 17 years and we never had sex, or anything in that direction. Our friendship began because we were colleagues and we just get along very well. We share the same interests, hobby/ work/study, humour, but there simply wasn't anything sexual about it. Now it's 17 years later and we still see each other regularly. Sometimes together with our SO, sometimes with our kids, or just the two of us. Everyone is fine with it, because it's so clear that it's nothing…
