You wouldn't experience things like this in Columbus, OH from my experience. I would also assume cities with a lot of young professional types are going to be better for you. Anyway, I think you need to talk to HR or maybe your direct supervisor first. Harassment is a big deal in today's workplace. If you go this route keep in mind that HR's job is to keep the company protected. It just so happens their motives align with yours in this case. If you decide to take any action against your employer…

Be a professional athlete or entertainer? Idk what the point of this exercise is. Sure it's possible.

I went to a top 10 party school that didn't have a huge greek scene. It was not how you describe.

MeetUp is an actual thing. There are a ton of hiking groups near me. Another thing to try is a young professionals organization. They have sports leagues, networking events, volunteer opportunities, social events, all kinds of things. I signed up for a softball league with 1 friend and instantly made 10 new friends.

Start with your writing. One of my best college profs always said, "Say more with less". I also tend to think things a lot and when I get to talk, it is only gibberish and a lot of words one after another that tends to beis eventually boring to people. Is there any advice to make thick sentences? I am shy guy and this would help greatly. Knock out all the vague words that don't add anything to what you're trying to get across. Go through old essays you've written and try to cut out 1/3 of the wo…

I've never actually heard this. I have a naturally deep voice but I've always been the skinny kid.

Also drink a shitload of water and lay off the deep fried food. It will go a long way toward making your face look better. I bought a 64oz hydroflask that I fill up every morning and finish every evening. I feel so much better, more rested, and your poops come out so easy when you're well hydrated. It's magic.

I have a pair of RW Iron Rangers that I got for about $240. I love those boots. The main differences between those and something ~$150 and under is going to be leather quality and construction methods. Red Wing's Heritage (Expensive) line of boots uses some tough fuckin' leather made by a tannery that Red Wing owns. If you take care of the leather every so often they will last a really long time (decades), and IMO look even better with age. They are stitched by human beings in the USA using a Go…

A pound of bodyfat is about 3500 calories. Estimate your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE), start tracking what you eat with something like MyFitnessPal, and operate on a caloric deficit. There are different diets generally based around tricking yourself to reduce overall calories, but it really is a game of in vs out.

Shoes are definitely something I spend good money on, and I cheap out on other clothes. You want full grain leather and goodyear welted dress shoes or boots. Get them in a classic style and they will look great, never go out of style, hold up for years and years, and be really comfortable. I started spending good money on shoes a few years ago and haven't looked back. Also many compliments. Girls love nice shoes and know them when they see them.

Any type of up-front approach or initial interaction is not a waste of my time, the way I look at it. It's great social experience plus she might have good looking friends.

There's a guy at work I noticed doing this to me all the time when I explain why the decision I made is not what he wanted. I never understood why I perceived him as so intimidating. Now that I pick up on it I confidently explain myself, then the silent staring contest is on motherfucker. Great advice.

TIL 28 is "such an advanced stage" of life. Haha come on man. I'm almost 27 and I feel like shit is just getting good. You presumably have a decent job, money, a well of life-experience that 22yo's don't have to draw from. You have the advantage. It's never too late.

I don't really see the problem here. Go whenever you want to. Hang out at the library or coffee shop. Act like you belong (you're a college student too, you do belong). Dress like you normally would. Don't overthink it.

When I get home from work I go to my bedroom and change my clothes and I leave my phone there as I go work out, make dinner, clean up, etc. Leave it upstairs and only check it every few hours or something. Also quit playing phone games (if you do). This will help you leave your phone behind for a while. Do something productive/exciting/interesting instead of Solitaire.

Cannot stress enough how good you can look in clothes that fit. You can wear cheap shit that fits well and get compliments.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
