Fuck yes it does. I had a tight psoas muscle. Stretching regularly helped me gain 50lbs on my deadlift simply because I'm better at getting my hips into position. Most people also have rounded shoulders, which can easily be solved by stretching pecs/frontal delts, and strengthening lower traps and rear delts.
