I mean I agree LMVs should feel guilty for existing, but I typically don't think of women as being so impassioned about these types of terminology or dating dynamics. I mean, what's your angle? What do you gain by being so vocally against the bottom half of guys?

OP's whole account read's like it's either satire, or more likely someone roleplaying their cuckold fantasy.

I mean besides science outlining the "Halo Effect", and how my existing loneliness makes me less approachable, not much. And I have been trying to live my life for years, and I haven't managed to make a friend in the process no matter how well I think I'm doing. I'm tired and the worst I've ever been, and I simply can't deal with another day like this. Why should I line up to get ghosted and abandoned again? It doesn't teach me anything except that I'm worthless.

What do you do if you've been trying to connect for years but keep failing? The healthiest response I am aware of to social ostracization is venting with similarly valueless people.

People should unconditionally love their daughters sure. (From my experiences most mothers do, I'm sorry if this wasn't the case in your experience.) At the end of the day if you're a passable young woman most men will have no problem giving their all to help you overcome your mommy/daddy problems. Not so much for most men. EDIT: The lack of a father figure you mention is just as vitally important for a boy as anything about mothers.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/19 01:38 PM

Traditionally, a father will go through hell and back to protect his daughter. Granted this isn't always the case. Just like my mother was probably one of the most evil people I've ever had the misfortune of knowing. Isn't the attention and respect of your peers better than some assholes you happen to be related to anyway?

Appreciate it. However much hesitation there is with being pigeonholed only to find I don't fit in with the community, suppose that's the best course of action.

More sex repulsed. Like I was kind of interested when I was younger but more often than not those feelings are over-ruled by anxiety and depression around the act. The most common reaction I get from women and gay bottoms is disgust that I don't want to be their rape daddy and instead want a chaste-ish middle school type relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/19 06:34 PM

I guess I'm like this except I don't actually want sex and want an emotional relationship. From my experience though, disinterest in sex is more unforgivable than fuckboyism.

You are correct, in that I’m not a follower of St Elliot. I will say that I’ve seen many depressed nothing-men lose the complete respect of their mothers. (In a Kafka’s the Metamorphosis sort of way.) This is more common in the patriarchal south though.

I'm sorry if I'm an incel asshole then. I don't hate women or anyone in particular, I just question whether society will ever find value in men who aren't obsessed with sex, violence, or power. In general I've found bullies are considered much better people than bullying victims.

I'm merely going by the responses of the women in this thread, and the treatment I got from my Dad when he found out how lonely I was as a kid.

If a man isn't romantically successful than every other aspect of his life is put into question, including his role as a son. People are vicious animals that only respect sex and power and violence and family bonds don't mean shit.

Getting involved in blackpill type discourse on /b/ and /r9k/ back when I was in middle school probably saved my life. I've been bitter and self-loathing since I was 10 or 11. Cried at a family function about how I'd never have any friends and would die alone, got screamed at for ruining everything and told to stop being a pussy, kept it to myself ever since. Spent a few hours in my Dad's closet with his shotgun on occasion. Was the family laughing stock for being so sad and anti social. Even if…

So you're going a bit into the weeds when you talk hypotheticals about bodily autonomy that no-one on this sub actually argues for. Would you say that a society with a growing loneliness problem, (the most common number of close relations being either 1 or 0 depending on the source), and western countries mirroring the japenese trends of hikikimori and "lonely death", should perhaps examine the issue?

Weakness and the holes in my facade have raised contempt from friends and dates faster than anything else I could have said or done. It's like they expected this assertive person who can pull his own weight and they got instead another waste of time burden.

Sometimes I just need a break. As a man I'm expected to be completely in control of the situation and to never show any sadness or distress until a parent's funeral or something like that, but sometimes I just can't. When my inner monologue spews vicious, elaborate tirades attacking my right to exist, or I have late night flashbacks to when I was 6 I would like to have a person I could admit that weakness to. A normal person isn't going to accept that the man in their life is weak in this way, o…

I mean I try to make people feel good or valued too, because that's basic human kindness not "love." The way you describe love earlier, as a transaction with sex, validation, money, etc, is just a roundabout form of prostitution. I'd like to think there's something more essential to love than ocytocin creating behaviors and performances, a form of simple human recognition and support, but people's behavior doesn't tend to support this hypothesis. I only became "healthily developed' when I was 27…

I enjoy the company of people like myself. "Damaged" people are so much more relatable and help me realize I'm not alone with my experiences. Plus I'm just tired after 22 years of playing by the rules of normal, healthily developed people like yourself to little positive response. love is a chemical reaction that comes from a mechanical transaction between two parties. I meant the opposite in terms of big gaudy romantic displays. The opposite would be human, genuine, personal moments. Or do people need things and spectacle and bluster to feel cared about?

motivated, inspired, creative, and happy. I won't disagree with you on the reality of the situation, I just think it's incredibly shallow and perverse that chronic depression can be a game ender, by these qualifications. I just find it a bit bizarre how a hobby like haiku or crocheting or model trains can be the thing that makes or breaks your qualifications for romance. I've been published as a journalist in a major paper and I don't show off my work to get men or women because that sounds obscene. I thought there was more to relationships than boujie past-times. checking out of the performance is going to change women's preference. I didn't know I was a performer. You don't have to do those things, but you do have to do something. I am having serious trouble imagining alternative to those things that people seriously want in the real world. And I've done the flower, wine, romantic dinner thing, it's all a big fake spectacle that shows off the resources of the "man" in the relationship for shallow women. Maybe someone craves the opposite. And I've listed a nonextensive list of things I'll do for a partner when it's genuine. I've grown not to expect anythin…

In terms of work put in, writing haikus sounds lazy as hell. I would have more respect for a sandwich artist who at least doesn't have any pretense about what they do. It seems to me that many women like spectacle and bluster, which not all men care to put on.

I've written so many poetics to girls and guys I've been dating you have no idea. I've been the shoulder to cry on, the therapist, the answerer to the late night suicide calls. When I say someone looks statuesque and has a beautifully dangerous mind I mean it. Other people (particularly women) typically don't return the favor and I'm ok with that. The thing is words and genuine feeling don't mean shit. Everyone wants a man to be a status-driven alpha, and if they don't have that in them and just…

I wouldn't say I'm lazy. I work full time, volunteer, write, run tabletop games and meetups, attend college, workout, study extracurricularly. But I don't enjoy being spontaneous and extroverted and fake and domineering for a partner. It may have came more naturally a year or two ago during better times, but poverty, depression and PTSD, isolation have made these things not worth the trouble of maintaining. I'll go to an amusement park or take mind altering drugs if I want excitement. Everyone I've been close to dating was an insane bipolar nutcase who wanted an abusive sex-daddy, where I just want someone cognizant enough of themselves to question whether their constant drive for pampering, novelty, and emotional whiplash is necessary or healthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/19 02:50 AM

Slack off in what ways? Get lazy in what ways? Most people find obesity to be a bad thing, yes, but almost all married couples let themselves go a little bit. I'd imagine a long term partner worth anything would help you keep fit in a supporting way. If that's your guys's dynamic good on you though. It's the expectation of constant growth, pressure on the man to have all the success and fulfill all the masculine stereotypes that really gets me. It generally isn't "correct" in society for men to …

I can't speak for most men but I'd never require those things specifically from a partner, no. Mutual help around the kitchen would be nice, casual romance, sex if we're ever both feeling it or not at all are fine with me. (Coincidentally, most feminists would take offense if you expected those three things from a woman.) Going out of your way to please another person when it comes naturally is amazing, but if it's legitimately not who you are at the moment it's acceptable not to be.

Do all women see relationships as job openings that require constant work? What does this make love, and why would a man voluntarily marry someone who treat him like shareholders treat a company? Is this something universal among all women or just ones in the neo-liberal US economy? How would you feel if a man expected constant growth and excitement from you?

Damn. I was just pointing out a common issue in both of your guys’ ideologies. People use the norms of their gender to be destructive assholes. I can’t imagine you’re much better when you vindictively dig up people’s failings and use them against them. You deserve the worst women have to offer.

Honestly, in theory, I think you guys and feminists have a lot of common ground. Moral outrage at the way gender norms drive people crazy. I think the issue comes when feminists excuse batshit actions by women, and when MRAs excuse harmful actions by men.

As a 50-50 bi, I’d be split on the woman. Having to go out of my way to actively romance a woman I consider repulsive would be difficult, but I could make it work if needed. If it were a dude in the standard Harvey Weinstein scenario I probably would. A man with power is sexy regardless of who the man in question actually is, plus it would be a lot easier to play along as the passive partner. The 9 times as many figure I heard was adjusted for gender and socio-economic status. Can't find the specific study, but the results on google range from 7 to 10 more times at risk. And you'd imagine people who generally don't follow cultural norms would be immune to toxic masculinity.

You know you're entitled to do as you do and have your path. But you're incorrect when you call acting a certain way having "virtue" (which is somehow different from morals?), and that being a confident extrovert works for everyone. And I'm not weeping or particularly bothered, but I can say with confidence that some people are going to be at an enormous handicap socially, to the point where they can go years without a relationship or even a friendship, and society shouldn't sugarcoat that.

/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/18 10:50 PM

I don’t disagree, but I’ll repeat for the 6th time, the OP is acting as if it’s inherently wrong for a man to get serious with a woman and not marry her. We have no idea how explicit their conversation on the subject was.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/18 10:46 PM

I’ll agree. I just disagree with the OPs blanket statement. And also an LTR does not equal a ring or a contract.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/18 10:44 PM
5

I’ll repeat another time. The OP was speaking for all relationships, as if a man not wanting to marry a woman by itself is a waste time, regardless of whether she’s explicitly interested. She goes on in the comments to talk as if there is something wrong with a man if he’s not interested in marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/18 10:39 PM
2

If you’re making an argument I don’t follow it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/18 10:37 PM

I’d agree that people should be open about what they want, but I’l repeat. The OP was acting as if this was the case for every relationship. As if there is something wrong in the man if he doesn’t want to marry the woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/18 10:36 PM
4

Gay men being able to marry does not equal them wanting to settle down to the degree straight women do. As a bi dude, I think most members of the queer community would agree that there’s a notorious lack of loyalty in gay culture (Grindr was invented before tindr), and anyone who thinks otherwise is ignorant.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/18 10:17 PM
4

What is your argument that people want to keep traditional gender roles? All you’ve said is that people aren’t necessarily interested in transgenders or fat people. Your logic doesn’t flow very well, and comes off very stream of consciousness.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/18 09:34 PM
4

That is fair, although the OP post is speaking for all relationships, and OP acts like there is something wrong if a man doesn’t want to get married which I find ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/18 09:27 PM

You have a flawed view of relationships if you think they are pointless without a marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/18 09:07 PM
12

I’m not worried people get tired of each other. I know they do. And more often than not it’s the women who get tired first, 70% percent of divorces being instigated by women*, and women displaying higher dissatisfaction in marriages. I would love a long term relationship, but I know marriage isn’t a practical move. Since I was a kid I recognized it was more trouble than it was worth. *https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-new-resilience/201508/women-initiate-divorce-much-more-men-heres-why

I’d agree that most men don’t want marriage, but I’d disagree that this inherently means the relationship is a waste of time. That’s ridiculous.

I don’t know if it’s a question of effort. At my deepest and most committed I’ve ever been in love with a person, or could ever be in love with a person, I would opt not to get married because I’ve seen so my Dad and so many of my older relatives get screwed by it. I am also open to the possibility that people get tired of each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/18 08:56 PM

I still don’t follow, what does this have to do with being sexually interested in trans people? Dates, romance and sex can happen without confirming to every facet of gender roles or considering them necessary.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/18 08:54 PM
16

Only 20-30 percent of men would consider marriage of high importance in their lives, because it offers little for them. Why do you think men typically don’t form these kinds of long term commitments when they date/fuck each other? And not everyone sees any value at all in a contract or a ring. A perfectly fulfilling relationship, even a family, can happen without them.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/18 08:51 PM

I’m bisexual. I like cock, pussy, ass, female expression, male expression, mixed expression, the gamut. But I know it would be ridiculous to pretend everyone felt the same. A heterosexual man would be attracted to women sexually, that is he’d be interested in their sex. If you can’t replicate the aspects of the female sex he wants (namely you have a cock), than the two of them just aren’t compatible. Your sex doesn’t have to invalidate your gender identity.

Sexual attraction isn’t a choice, and supporting Trans people’s rights as humans is different from wanting to fuck them. Same for fat people, short dudes, whatever. A systemic bias in the dating field against trans people, short men, fat people, etc is awful, but you can’t tell individuals what they should like. I would of course encourage everyone to be open minded and try to look past the superficial, but beyond that you can’t force a relationship if you as a person don’t bojangle their dangle…

I would hesitate to call myself one of you guys, and I try not to jump the gun or make generalizations about men or women, but hot damn. The fact that this is accepted activity among a lot of women and is tied up with female empowerment and “you go girl” culture really grinds my gears. I thought people were better than this.

So you're largely aromantic outside of sexual relationships. Or would asocial be a better word? I'm sorry to hear, hope that works out for you.

It’s a different thing from cuckoldry when there’s no power dynamic. The lions share of the neurosis around cuckoldry occurs from the fear and insecurity of you not being enough of a man for a woman. There’s less of this when there’s too dudes and they can relate a bit better, and they both understand they want dick and it can all stay mutual. In some cases, like where it’s a bottom who’s taking more of a traditional feminine role, than I could see it being called cuckoldry.

This isn't Associated Press Standard journalism, no. I said print news has standards, I didn't say internet age clickbait followed them. These are usually the type of stories that keep the serious reporting afloat. EDIT: The actual writing and content in the article is actually pretty solid, it's just the subject matter that's inane.

This only applies to TV broadcasting, which isn't real news. Print journalism standards are pretty concrete, and bow to a very restrictive code on language and opinion.

Actually the complete opposite of this. Impartial non-partisan reporting as a concept dates back to about the turn of the century, as it was before this time that we had purposefully spun, partisan papers like those Hearst sold to get us into the war with Spain. The rise of the 24 hour cable news cycle, with Fox and to a lesser degree CNN, has often run counter to these standards, but most Associated Press type reporting, is about the closest you can get. The coworker I know who looks the most like this is a reddit "centrist" gamer who reads RedBone and rants about SJWs. I'd say if you look like the OP describes, you probably got your ideology from a web forum, but that's about all it reveals about you.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
