Did you register as a woman? On dating apps you can put your sexual orientation so that should filter out the gay men. With regards to transexuals, I got a lot of likes from them as well too, in addition to morbidly obese women. Occasionally I will get a like from a decent looking woman who either won't respond or ends up ghosting me.

Yes, this can all be boiled down to whether a man is attractive and constitutes the top 5% of men that get most of the matches on dating apps. The mythical "Chad". If a guy isn't overtly good-looking, he'll need to have the qualities the OP mentions. There are always exceptions to the rule.

I will admit, I wasn't expecting a levelheaded response to be the first post I read. It is usually someone from the manosphere or a feminazi gaslighting and berating the opposite gender.

Great points. The OP is probably an ardent feminist who wants to misconstrue male fertility for her own agenda. Yes, male sperm quality does deteriorate with age, but it doesn't fall off a cliff and becomes redundant like with menopause. This is why when a women gets pregnant at 35, it's considered a geriatric pregnancy.

This, and also dating older guys.

Great ideas, but I don't think it will override the human propensity to gravitate towards those who we find attractive. Regardless of what dating apps try to do, it's always the men in the upper echelon of attractiveness that get most of the likes, dates, and matches. Physical attractiveness trumps everything.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/24 12:15 AM

Incorrect. Too naive to realise that just because a guy will sleep with you, doesn't mean he'll date you. Even obese women on dating apps, get more likes and matches than model tier men. It is because there are a lot of thirsty men out there willing to do anything to get their pen1s' wet. Walking around hand-in-hand with an obese girl, will elicit shame and social stigma from his peers.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/24 05:41 PM

Fair enough, I accept there are exceptions to the rule. What I will say is that there is a difference between men wanting to sleep with you, and those willing to be in a relationship.

Don’t use science terms if you don’t understand them. My comprehension skills are better than yours. If you are delusional to believe all the people doing this are fakers and 'grifters', then obviously you are someone who refuses to acknowledge women are just as superficial as men and beyond help. Once again, you resort to accusations, tangents, and name calling without evidence. It is like me saying "All women claiming rape initially consented but then got upset because the guy didn't want to b…

Experiments can be replicated. You are engaging in semantic wordplay, but I'll entertain you. Such experiments have been done and replicated countless times. A simple Google or Youtube search will confirm this. Men have not given money to anyone, these experiments have been conducted to show just how important looks are to women.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/24 11:04 PM
3

It gets click and attention, because women care about looks. If women didn't care about looks, such experiments would fail. You can't come up with a logical retort, so you dismiss things with no evidence. Typical women behaviour when they lose an argument. You must not be a very sharp engineer! Lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/24 09:51 PM
1

Wrong. Plenty of women date good-looking fit men, regardless of their personality. They call these men 'jerks' when they get dumped. You obviously have not seen the online dating experiments where women thirst over good-looking fit men who claim to be rapist and criminals.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/24 06:26 PM

Fit men who maintain a healthy lifestyle, are generally not attracted to women with a BMI making them obese.

Reality hits harder for men. You can be an unattractive morbidly obese girl, and once in a while a Chad or Chad-lite will be thirsty enough to have a ONS with you. Now all of a sudden, such women think they are entitled to such men and being with anyone else is 'settling.' Nothing wrong with going only for men you are attracted to, but have enough introspection to know that what you like doesn't have to like you back, because they are out of your league. The same applies to obese middle aged men…

Hey OP, honest question, but what would most people rate you out of 10? People often skirt around the issue, but the problem might be that you are unattractive. If this is the case, acknowledge it and come up with ways that might rectify this.

Men aren't trying to argue their way into a woman's heart. They are pointing out the blatant hypocrisy.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 12:11 PM
1

If you truly looks max tho you could def become atleast an 8 unless you have some kind of deformity. Another blatant lie. You can be short, have an undesired ethnic background, have poor facial ratios etc. You can gym your body, but there's no gym for your face. The only men I have seen become 7s or higher, are those who were once overweight and upon losing the weight, their face and jawline became more well defined, but they already had the bone structure, which not everyone does.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 12:11 PM
1

That 10% includes stuff like money and personality. That is a lie. If you have a woman is not attracted to you, you can have all the money in the world, and the only thing money and personality will attract are gold diggers.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 12:08 PM

I can't say 100%, but I think the notion that "men aren't attending singles events anymore" is a narrative from the manosphere or MGTOW, which of course, is completely false. Heck, even the Brazilian zouk classes I attended was filled with thirsty out of shape men (my now ex-girlfriend made me go with her at the time).

Looks gets you in the door and then the women starts compromising because they feel a 'spark' when they are with said good looking man. This whole 'looks doesn't get you an LTR but personality does' is a load of BS. Plenty of ugly guys with awesome personalities and kind souls who can't even get a date.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 12:31 PM

They would also create ugly woman profiles (like morbidly obese women) and still get a ton of matches and thirsty messages. This for me was the most shocking thing. I remember the morbidly obese pig nose women experiment that received a ridiculous amount of interest from men. There are certain things I do not understand about this world, like why are men subscribing to Only Fans? And why are men sending DM's to morbidly obese women on dating apps, when they themselves are decent looking? What a …

Where does the OP say feminism is about red-pill ideologies? I think there are a lot of men out there who don't look after themselves, are couch potatoes, or just unattractive, complain about the dating market without looking in the mirror and assessing themselves objectively. I also don't think feminism has much to do with the ubiquity of male loneliness, but rather its an inadvertent by-product of our consumer culture, that just happens to cater to female hypergamy.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/24 12:25 AM
8

Dating is unfair for most men who are not in the upper echelons of attractiveness, studies have shown this. That is why male loneliness and suicide rates are so high.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/24 06:56 PM

There are winners and losers in the dating market. The harsh truth some people will have a harder time than others in romance and finding love, is obscured. Men unfortunately suffer from a lot of gaslighting.

You are deliberately misinterpreting things, and one of the people who gaslight men into believing in such fallacies.

Think about this, you are projecting your anger, on a random guy who attended a speed dating event, that received interest from overweight/obese women. A random anomalous experience (anomalous because this was the only context in my life, I've had that much women show interest in me), does not disprove the rule. Work on your triggers.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/24 09:02 PM
3

You are taking things out of context to serve your agenda, by refusing to see things are nuanced. One guy attends 2 speed dating events and gets interest from the majority of the obese/overweight women, does not disprove the general rule that women have a lot more options than men I nearly all contexts! This is the ONLY context in my entire life, I have had that many women show interest in me. I can go on dating apps for weeks on end and not get a match. Women can go on an app and get interest f…

The women were overweight. As a fit guy, I will not date overweight girls. Also, a guy getting 9/12 and 6/10, means I was much better looking than the girls.

Women are hypergamous, and generally only date above their looks level. Dating within their league is referred to as "settling" by them. A few overweight men who are insightless and trying to hit on fitter, prettier girls, are the exception to the rule. Most men know where they stand in-terms of looks, the reality of it is more blatant and brutal.

Excellent post! It mirrors my experiences too, except I never joined a book club. Hobby groups: if they are posted online, they are probably sausage fests. That's a good mind-set. Things will be more difficult due to your height, but if you are targeting Hispanic girls, you should be fine. If you are going for non-Hispanics, especially whites, it'll be harder. The best advice I can give you is keep the conversations simple, have a couple of generic openers you can use for most situations, and understand you will get approach anxiety, the best strategy is to just open as soon as it is reasonable, e.g., don't be socially inept and open her when she's…

Before cold approaching, you need to look in the mirror and ask yourself honestly: "What would most people rate me out of 10?" If you are below average, cold approaching is going to be hard, or what some people call "nightmare mode." I know because one of my wings was a 5'5 Asian dude, who was skinny and not conventionally handsome. Some of the rejections he got was "I don't date Asians" and "I don't agree with the one child policy." Cold approaching is tough as an ugly guy, and no amount of "ga…

The bad thing is most of these PUAs teach men to persist, and that it's all about 'game' and your 'masculine energy.' Like millions of years of biological hardwiring can be overcomed with PUA talk. Men need to learn that if they don't pass a woman's looks threshold, it ain't going nowhere. Dating is hard for average looking guys, I understand and empathise. I see nothing wrong with cold approaching, just don't cross that barrier where it becomes harassment.

Same as men often say they wish women approach them, but freak out if it happens I hate to say this, but I actually agree. Damm, sorry to hear you went through that. Your story reminds me of what happened to one of the major bookstores in Sydney, when pick up artists were going there specifically to cold approach and harass their female customers. Yes, this is the best answer IMO. To add to this, just like there are girls you find unattractive and wouldn't approach, there are guys some women are just not interested in. Whenever I ask for a number and get offered social media instead, I know it's over and eject politely.

As a man who is the furthest thing from a feminist, I couldn't agree more. If you were unattractive and overweight in your 20s, your 30s isn't going to be any better. In fact, you'd more likely than not be even more overweight and unattractive. These men are seriously deluded if they think the dating market suddenly shifts, and women in their 30s still don't have options. Unattractive bitter people, will always try to backwards rationalise things. Yes, women hit the wall, but so do men!

Yes, rejection is inevitable, most men get over it. It is part and parcel of cold-approaching. Just like in sales, what is your point? How do you know good looking men mainly face rejections? When you obviously haven't cold approached before. Quite the contrary, good looking men are more likely to succeed and be womanisers. Not true, being good at reading social cues and having a girlfriend are not two sides of the same coin, they are mutually exclusive. Just like how a man can be average looking or ugly, but with good social cues, and have to cold-approach because that's his only way to meet someone romantically.

It can be alarming for a woman to be approached by a stranger who is a man It's alarming if done incorrectly. Yes, I have seen PUAs in my city tap women on the shoulder, or walk in-front of them to block their path, and behave in ways that's completely socially-inept. /r/PurplePillDebate05/08/24 12:50 PM

They feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable and tell me about their struggles to even get a date, so why wouldn't they? Contrary to what you might think, most men would not feel comfortable with forcing a girl to have sex with them, for moral and legal reasons.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/24 12:25 PM

I have never dated a man, but I speak with other men about dating all the time, and none of them, feel or expressed being entitled to sex with women.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/24 12:05 PM

I don't think the vast majority of men (other than incels) feel entitled to sex or a woman's body. "Yes," women need to find a man attractive in order for them to want to sleep with them, and "Yes," unfortunately a lot of men fail to look in the mirror and see they aren't all that attractive. This reminds of how some women say "I won't settle," but fail to ask "Is it that I am refusing to settle, or the men I want, won't settle for me?" None of what you say is applicable if the guy is a sub-5 or below. I find it funny how self proclaimed "PUA coaches" like to spin stuff to downplay the importance of looks. Yes, this pretty much confirms my experience as well too. Game has helped me though, convert a couple of girls who were initially "sort of into me" into long-term girlfriends. Basic principles like not acting needy, flooding her with messages, and showing sexual intent early on have been beneficial. With that being said, most PUAs will concede the importance of looks, but down play it and try to make "game" sound much more popular than what it is because they've got something to sell you.

A very small percentage of men will cold-approach. Meaning men who are willing to approach a woman they have no connection to either in the club, street, grocery store etc. I would hazard a guess that it is no more than 1%. If you take out the club environment where there is no alcohol, it is probably something like 0.5% of a percent. Some men will warm-approach e.g., asking someone out within their social circle or work environment. Rejection hurts, and having the social skills and grace to app…

True and depressing post. 36 year old single male here, dating is hard...lots of single mum's, and as someone who's into health and fitness, I get a lot of attention from morbidly obese women... It's just how it is.

Have you tried dating websites specifically targeting women who are overseas? If you don't mind Asian girls, the Philippines and Thailand is good. Or conversely, Latin-America or Eastern-Europe is another possibility. I've got an Indian mate from Australia, who despite his racial/ethnic background, does well everytime he goes to the Philippines and is currently engaged to a hot Filipino girl. I've also heard of guys doing well in Eastern-Europe and those from former Soviet Union countries, (don'…

I agree with said statement. Online dating is hard, and if you're an average to ugly looking guy, it is next to impossible. At least with cold-approaching, you can make yourself stand out and increase the odds slightly in your favour.

Nope! My Indian-Australian friend, who's short and has severe ezcema, gets laid all the time in the Philippines. Admittedly, I've seen white and East-Asian men do better because of assumed higher social/financial status, but to think you can't get bangs unless your white in the Philippines is a misconception.

I'm an ugly mofo and even I got several lays in the Philippines. Really, the Philippines has got to be the sex tourist capital of the world.

I really want to elaborate on what r/mwa92i said in an earlier post. The best thing for you to do is travel overeas. I live in Australia, but it wouldn't be incorrect for me to say our dating market is very similar to North-America. I was pretty much dateless for most my teenage and adult life. The only thing I had going for me was my education and I had a decent paying job. Girls in Australia just wouldn't give me the time of day, and I had accepted the fact that more than likely, I'd probably …

The sad thing is insight and articles like this is something Reddit is banning and eliminate. Alternative points of view about dating and marriage market is no longer tolerated. Political correctness has become the only 'truth you are allowed to speak, anything that contravenes this will be name called as being 'misogynistic', 'sexist, etc. How dare men have an alternative point of view and do something that guards their wealth from single mother predators.

Thanks but no thanks. If I wanted mainstream pop-culture advice I'd go watch Dr Phil.

Yeah I have noticed this too. A lot of good-looking guy's with high SMV, don't know what they are worth in the sexual market place. I suspect a lot of them don't know or understand the psychology of women, have low self-esteem, or just going for the low hanging fruit. If they spent a couple of months reading trp, they'd wise up and change. That's what I hope at least. The sad thing is when a fat ugly women dates one attractive guy out of their league, they think that is what they deserve through…

I have seen a lot of ugly, tall guys pick up girls with no effort whatsoever. It seems to be one of those things a lot of girls are either hardwired or socialized to go for. I can't complain about height, or lack thereof, as I'm 5'10, but I have a mate who's 5'5 who's good looking, well-spoken and charming as fuck. But even on his best day he ain't nothing compared to the 6'3 meat head at the club. Being tall is one way to get girls, the other is to be rich. That's why a lot of guys go to the Ph…

Slight tangent. A mate of mine had a fling with one of his co-workers, and she got pregnant. Anyway, she was obviously a gold-digger, and he has a lot of money. He is also a Hungarian citizen and the last thing I heard was that 7 months into her pregnancy, all his assets got transferred over to his father and he started life in a new country.

It goes to show that there are some single, crazy mother's out there hell bent on ruining a man's life. My policy is to stay away from single mother's.

Insightful! I work as a mental health nurse, and the amount BS I see surrounding mental health diagnoses makes me sad. The language and terminology used to diagnose "depression" is so tenuous and open for interpretation, that the majority of people reading it could label themselves as "depressed." To even suggest some mental illnesses are BS, results in ridicule. The dangerous thing is modern day psychiatry is medicalizing what is in fact a normal part of the human condition i.e., being depresse…

That is such a cop out. The whole "I've been socialized" into such roles is often used as an excuse. This falls back on the whole "nature vs nurture" debate. What came first, the chicken or the egg? Do men gravitate towards maths and the hard science, and women towards language and literature because they were socialized into it, or because it's a genetic gender predisposition? If you look into I.Q. tests (I.Q. test scores are largely determined by genetics - less than 10% is determined by socia…
