Moderator calls out double standards.Lets not make it a contest. Obviously not. One side would lose hard, so it's really no contest at all, no point. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 27/10/18 06:29 PM
Google Manager to Employees: "Next time you get invited to speak at a conference, especially if you’re a white male – ask the organizer to confirm you’re the only white male on the panel / in the speaker lineup. If not, say you are honored, but must decline, and give the reason."I would love if businesses actually demanded proper representation. "Oooh, I'm sorry, you're LGBT-identifying. The panel only has 8 people on it, so if you were on it, it would over-represent your identified group. Better luck next time. We only have space for people who do not identify as any particular group." It's utterly bizantine, really, how "representation" for massive, massive majorities of countries gets rounded down to 50-at-most. | /r/MensRights | 04/02/18 11:40 PM
Liberal feminist professors are decidedly illiberal with students whose opinion differs from theirs. On an individual scale it is, indeed, very complex. But the "wage gap" is in aggregate. And yes, individual-level, there might be some that go for males at a huge surplus cost, but in aggregate, if you can reduce what is often your largest expense (since no one cares about construction, just service companies, payroll is often the largest expense by far), then the companies that do not do so, will go out of business. So the proposal conundrum is this: If there is a big wage gap, women are object… | /r/MensRights | 23/01/18 10:43 PM
Thanks in large part to support from /r/mensrights, CAFE reached their goal of $50,000 to open Toronto's first shelter for male victims of domestic abuseYou vastly overestimate the logic a court system will have for a man when there's a woman's corpse within 2km of them, however unrelated the two things may be. | /r/MensRights | 07/01/18 09:37 AM
Thanks in large part to support from /r/mensrights, CAFE reached their goal of $50,000 to open Toronto's first shelter for male victims of domestic abuseThat would be more proper (and more importantly more legal), yes, even if without the expletive-filled catharsis. | /r/MensRights | 07/01/18 04:00 AM
Thanks in large part to support from /r/mensrights, CAFE reached their goal of $50,000 to open Toronto's first shelter for male victims of domestic abuseYou'll need a location, volunteers, media presence, and the resilience to defend against those who believe there is a finite amount of goodwill in the world and that by you existing, they're by extension getting less money. | /r/MensRights | 07/01/18 03:48 AM
Thanks in large part to support from /r/mensrights, CAFE reached their goal of $50,000 to open Toronto's first shelter for male victims of domestic abuseI don't know the context of their anecdote, but I do know the context of OP is the shelter in Canada, and in Canada, contributing to suicide, even at the level you say there, is illegal. It grants a LOT more psychological power to the abuser when the force of the law is kinda-sorta backing it. Obviously, just leaving is just leaving, it's on them, but if you say "kill yourself" and then leave, you're legally liable for murder in Canada if they then play the wrist violin. | /r/MensRights | 07/01/18 03:45 AM
