It's not as bad as the title makes it seem. People can submit reports directly to WAM, WAM can then report them to twitter. WAM does not have the ability to take down tweets. WAM does have the ability to see how reports where handled and that's really the only difference between them and other groups like #GamerGate's harassment patrol.

An important question. Does the father have custody in the US? If this is a case of the mother taking the children to Japan where the US custody arrangement won't be honored, then there is legal recourse if the children enter the US jurisdiction again. However if this is a case of the Japanese courts awarding custody to the mother, then nothing really changes when she takes them to the US.

Sorry about that I usually try to check sources on stuff before I put it up. The impression I had was that this was used as a defense from a wrongful termination suit. When in fact it is not covered by the gender discrimination laws. What I gathered from the court opinion is that some form of sexual harassment would have had to take place for a gender discrimination case. The argument has always been that it is impossible to effectively limit the impact to one state. It's one of the catch-all for federal powers.
