The alternative is you don’t get married. Solved it for you.

I think both pills engage in this to be honest. There is very much a horseshoe effect between them.

You basically have proved these terms are vague enough to be useless. Say what you want about the black pill crowd but they do in many ways probably have the most practical frame of reference for all this.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/26 02:08 PM

I’m the furthest thing from red pill but stated preferences deviate all the time from revealed preferences. Almost comically.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/26 01:59 PM
6

You didn't even use the phrase in the correct statistical context. This has nothing to do with facts it's about word utilization lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 05:07 PM
7

This is the most overused phrase on reddit people use it and have no clue how to properly use it.

Show me the incentives and I will show you the outcomes. The men who have the most amount of sex generally have to put in the least amount of effort to get the sex. If women keep rewarding these guys there is no incentive to change.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 02:23 PM

Show me the studies you think show woman want older men.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/26 06:13 PM
5

No one of the more robust studies showed women of all ages still preferred men in a younger age bracket it was only slightly older than what men prefer women at.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/26 05:49 PM
17

Yes because you get uglier. Everyone makes a big to do about the studies showing men prefer younger women but in these studies we still see the same thing about men it’s like a few years at most difference.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/26 02:29 PM

Why would this bother me? I had no problem dating and am happily married. All of my closest acquaintances met their significant others through weak ties. The only time where it was semi common was a college post grad atmosphere where I did have some hookups.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 04:18 PM
6

Never in the history of society has this been the best way to get numbers. I don’t know where people come up with this concepts. Vast vast majority of all connections are through weak ties.

I never once disagreed that women have this more.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 03:31 PM

Because people never compare apples to apples. Men are terrible judges of who are average.

Notice how you said cute. They are so many women you don’t even think about who don’t have this. Attractive men have this too.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 01:05 PM

This is probably true in some sense but those of us who were socialized it was mostly due to dumb luck. I’ve had to really come to grips how lucky I was and how unlucky some other guys are. You are asking individuals to do things successful people don’t have to do and then we are shocked they aren’t doing those things. Most guys struggling have probably put in far more conscious effort than successful guys.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 04:03 PM
2

Totally agree which is why I feel the term is completely meaningless.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 05:05 PM

It's confirmation bias plenty of guys who have no little success with women are more confident than guys who have a lot of success.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 05:01 PM

True confidence comes from competence. Many men do not get the reps to be confident with women. I say this as someone whom can recognize my privilege from the other side.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 04:59 PM

Not been my experience at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 12:10 PM

You are trying to rationalize things that can’t be fully rationalized. A lot of attraction is subconscious we try to make just so stories when there is a million things going on under the hood. Desperation is one of the biggest turn offs in the world even if rationally it doesn’t make sense. Everyone who has dealt with it though knows it. I dated a woman once who was perfect on paper but there was an underlying desperation that I couldn’t fully explain on what was just such a turn off.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/26 02:56 PM

The worst thing you could do right now is more reading and more rabbit holes. You need to take a step back from all of this and start focusing on other things. You need to learn to read the room. Your wife finds you annoying and unattractive.
/r/MarriedRedPill23/06/26 02:24 PM
7

I don’t find this to be hypocritical at all and no one would ever accuse me of being a feminist. Maybe the woman or man thinks they have a lot to offer and is not going to waste their time with a date they have to pay for if there are tons of people willing to pay instead. It’s an economics question not an equality question.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 11:50 AM

I agree with your first point I disagree with your second point. I think a lot of men do want emotional connection and depth. The ones who aren’t getting it though do tend to put on a defensive front which clouds the narrative. Research shows for both men and women your romantic partner is the individual you get the most happiness boost from.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/26 04:01 PM
6

I think the difference is that a lot of these behaviors from attractive women and successful men aren’t “tactics” at all. They’re just byproducts of having options, standards, and a full life. They don’t text back instantly because they’re busy. They don’t over-invest early because they have boundaries. They don’t chase because they don’t need to. The issue with red pill is that it often tries to copy the outward behavior without building the actual lifestyle behind it. Manufactured scarcity fee…

Social media is like lighter fluid for someone already high in trait neuroticism. That’s why red pill is even more destructive than never getting into it at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 01:35 PM
14

Reading Red pill forums over the years in many ways has actually made me less looks focused because you realize how much of these guys issues are simply high trait neuroticism
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 01:01 PM
8

Even if they do know the issue is that none if this stuff is a knowledge issue it’s a point of performance issue. There was a great study on the Manosphere that it basically attracts guys with high trait neuroticism. Red pill stuff just makes them more neurotic.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 12:35 PM
8

The irony with red pill is any guy who needs red pill to begin with will never achieve what they need. Dating is not a knowledge issue but a point of performance issue.

Yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 05:05 PM
2

If you're an average man and cannot attract women for casual relationships, Newsflash you are not average then.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 03:35 PM

You could’ve written this post verbatim about the red pill. The reason I find the red pill so ridiculous is the *lack* of statistical rigor. Funny enough one of the most rigorous findings is that lower IQ individuals tend to be attracted to red pill and other similar spaces.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 02:29 PM

The men who want a trad wife have nothing to offer to said women. In my experience working in a fairly HNW profession most men want a women who is just as accomplished.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 02:34 PM

I suppose it’s one of those words that is completely dependent on the context it’s used. Maybe I’m too literal but when I discussed wifey material it was in the context of meeting my now wife who I wanted to spend my life with.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 01:03 PM

Sometimes I feel like I have grown up in completely different cicles. My friend is pretty traditional (lots of bull busting and what not) but no one has felt afraid to open up when serious things have affected them in life. Also everyone in my social group has a significant other so I'm wondering if the guys who struggle to find a partner also struggle to finding both friendship and romantic relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 05:05 PM
20

This honestly reads like someone who has never had sexual relations with a woman before.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 12:35 PM

You can blame me and tell me to stop doomscrolling and for that you’re correct You should have stopped here.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 07:28 PM

In my experience though it is never the guy in the friend group who had a lot of female success. As ridiculous as it sounds it's very "logical" for that individual. Humans are very ecologically rational.
/r/seduction18/05/26 04:47 PM
2

This post is so pathetic.
/r/seduction14/05/26 01:15 PM

Took me a few years but I was also a child lol. You have guys in their 20s here who think looks matter is a forbidden truth.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 01:20 PM
5

Biology is biology I don’t give two shits about what’s “good.” I also don’t care about what people are told. I was told Santa Claus and the Easter bunny were real. Once again this may be an IQ issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 01:14 PM
3

I don’t know I think it’s pretty dumb to not understand women care immensely about physical attraction. My friends and I weren’t exactly Ivy leaguers and were think the weight room in middle school “curls for girls.” I don’t really understand how you can be out in the world and not understand this simple concept.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 01:07 PM
14

Genuinely you wonder if there is an IQ deficit with some on here. My entire social group knew looks matter enormously for romantic relationship probably around middle school yet you have guys here in their 20s(!) who think this is some forbidden truth?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 12:32 PM

It isn't the terms are meaningless.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 01:50 PM

It's just physical attractiveness. Don't let anyone fool you everything is downstream of this for both genders.

/r/seduction07/05/26 01:26 PM

To find the one you truly connect with.
/r/seduction29/04/26 02:42 PM

It’s to find someone you truly like so you don’t have to worry about texting to much. Most people aren’t worried how much they are texting with someone who is also into them.

You haven't cited a single study, identified a single methodological flaw, or engaged with a single specific claim. You're just asserting that I'm biased as a substitute for an argument. That's not a rebuttal, it's a thought-terminating cliché. If you think the stated-vs-revealed preference literature is being misapplied here, name the study, name the misapplication. Otherwise you're doing the exact thing you're accusing me of: dismissing evidence because you don't like the conclusion. Eastwick …
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/26 10:06 PM

The stated-vs-revealed preference gap is documented across every population studied: consumers, voters, hiring managers, men, women. It’s a finding about human cognition, not a claim about women, and you’re the one who narrowed a general psychology result into a gender accusation.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/26 05:36 PM
16

There’s plethora of high quality data showing stated preferences do not align with revealed preferences.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/26 01:46 PM

It has nothing to do with texting though it’s about actually living a life that is interesting. Otherwise you are just LARPing. So much of seduction is emulating what successful guys do without any of the success and why most guys fail.
/r/seduction15/04/26 12:09 PM
2

I often wonder if any of you actually participate in society takes like these. Also many things men who struggle with woman think are truth selling are obvious truths many of us figured out years ago and so stupidly obvious they aren’t needed to be said.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 12:28 PM

I find it quite fascinating form a psychological POV.

Does RP specifically say people in relationships don't form bonds?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 03:32 PM

Everything you just wrote here is your exact problem. It’s weaponized neuroticism.
/r/MarriedRedPill02/04/26 03:15 PM

Idk this all feels very semantic. I’ve always found the discourse over value to be mental masturbation. Everyone knows what they are talking about. I’m not under any impression that my wife would be into me if I was 5’5 and unemployed that doesn’t mean we don’t have a strong bond.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 03:13 PM
2

It’s an over complication of a simple issue. More women have entered the workforce and have high paying jobs. They can optimize for other things now in the dating market.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 01:11 PM

Thinking more is not going to solve an overthinking problem.
/r/MarriedRedPill02/04/26 12:22 PM

They can never explain where this lie came from. Pretty much every single person growing up knows attraction was the most important things expect this niche community of red pill guys who apparently never ventured outside once.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 12:15 PM
1

The claim was that stuff such as being kind and polite will make up for not being hot. So even if you were not attractive, you would get a loving partner by "being a good guy". Never heard or saw this once in my entire life and most media showed this wasn't the truth.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 12:14 PM

There’s not a single animal study in social psychology what are you talking about?
/r/ExRedPill01/04/26 02:41 PM

You can call it whatever you what to call but it is definitely a thing. This is not even controversial in run of the mill Social Psychology 101 textbooks.

What do you mean normalized? No one is stopping you from having high standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 12:51 PM

SMV is definitely a thing. The issue with red pill is the hypocrisy surrounding the subject.
/r/ExRedPill31/03/26 12:49 PM

This sounds like a “I have high standards” that’s why I’m single post.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 11:55 AM

Im tired of making excuses for my poor success due to not having the best job, physique, best social skills and low confidence. All of these can be improve significantly. No one can force you.

Optionality. You’ve probably already spent way too much time on this situation.
/r/seduction29/03/26 01:10 PM

I have no idea what you are talking about.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/26 04:31 PM

That had nothing do with “top percent”
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/26 04:19 PM
3

If this were true you’d probably be spending a lot less time analyzing your wife’s actions and behaviors. So much anger towards people’s wives on here is because you cannot fake frame around them because they see the actual results in your life. They know who you really are and it pisses the shit out of a lot of guys on here. You say it yourself I want her to follow my lead. You aren’t somebody she’s deemed worthy to follow. STFU and lift is beaten to a bush around here because people who have h…
/r/MarriedRedPill28/03/26 04:07 PM

People willing to have a lot of sex are not in the top percent. Top percent discourse is around relationships and assortative mating. Sociosexuality is the single biggest predictor of casual sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/26 02:09 PM
3

Your anger most likely stems from decades of not knowing what you actually felt or wanted, combined with a marriage where you traded authenticity for peace and now resent the deal you made. Your wife isn’t really the cause. She’s the screen you’re projecting it onto.
/r/MarriedRedPill26/03/26 01:01 PM
1

That's the issue though it isn't a mind shift it has to actually be your life. That's why I think a lot of this seduction stuff is completely pointless and a waste of time.
/r/seduction25/03/26 04:57 PM
2

You're focusing way too much on all of *your* behaviors. No matter what the actual behaviors are this is going to present negatively. Here's a hypothetical for you say you were a professional basketball player or pick any individual who has access to lots of women fairly easily. You would be focusing on if the other person was worth *your* time. You would not be focused on if you behaviors are attracting them.
/r/seduction25/03/26 04:53 PM
2

You’re probably coming off as way to needy. Woman have a 6th sense for this men have no idea how they are being perceived. It’s not something you can fake though. That you are even worrying about something like texting frequency is a big tell.
/r/seduction25/03/26 04:36 PM
3

Woman have a 6th sense with interpreting neediness particularly in the dating app landscape. Once the thought of thinking about the text enters your mind you’ve already lost. Becoming unattached to outcomes probably the most important concept in all of this but it’s also something that is hardest to develop because you cannot fake it. You cannot fake real abundance.
/r/MarriedRedPill25/03/26 03:19 PM
10

You’re asking to revive dead conservations this is 100% someone who is not operating from abundance. If you’re not honest with yourself you’ll never improve. Don’t ask questions on the internet if you can’t handle honest criticism.
/r/seduction25/03/26 03:06 PM
7

I have plenty of abundance, so I move to the next target. I don’t actually believe this because you are not behaving like it at all.
/r/seduction25/03/26 02:42 PM
9

Both groups problems are the same and that is why there is so much fighting between them. A lack of behavioral intervention which yes at it's very core requires "pushing" or "discomfort" is basically why everyone here is miserable.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/26 02:05 PM
18

Don't even try with people here. The single biggest predictor of involuntary singleness in both men and women is high trait neuroticism. Any advice dealing with that gets met with vitriol rage. This is not a dating subreddit this is a neuroticism subreddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/26 01:59 PM

I’ve always found most inner game stuff to be incredibly idiotic and vague enough that’s it’s useful to make a lot of money off of. I also find people love inner game because they treat it as a magic trick instead of putting in real work. This was true in my athletic career aswell. The game is the game. Some things matter some things don’t. Whether they are arbitrary or not is simply mental masturbation and will be biased by one owns circumstances.
/r/seduction23/03/26 12:44 PM
1

I’ve never been really fit You’re not even trying.
/r/seduction20/03/26 03:43 PM
1

You’ve made real progress on assertiveness, but a lot of your “wins” still depend on getting other people to submit, especially your fiancée, which means your frame is still more reactive than grounded. The deeper work is learning to want what you want without turning every interaction into a power test.
/r/MarriedRedPill18/03/26 03:58 PM
2

Nobody said that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 01:24 PM

You used two completely different traits to make your point and you don't think that is silly. Lol.....
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 01:00 PM
0

This is almost just as silly: What I have seen is men saying they were led to believe that being caring, considerate, dependable, honest and unselfish could compensate for lack of attractiveness.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 12:53 PM
4

These are also the same guys who went through their whole lives oblivious to the fact that women care about looks. They need the red pill to give them this “forbidden truth.” This one always cracks me up. Nobody told us. Did you not observe reality?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 12:34 PM
1

The most effective technique is repeated exposure to avoided emotions and situations. Basically, doing the thing you habitually avoid, and staying with the uncomfortable feeling long enough to learn “this is tolerable.” Best of luck.
/r/seduction15/03/26 02:51 PM
5

You need to experience discomfort. You are high in trait neuroticism the only way to deal with this is to expose yourself to discomfort. You are avoiding discomfort.
/r/seduction15/03/26 02:21 PM
3

Never go full evo-psych my dude. You’re constructing a just so story that is so common in that field.
/r/seduction15/03/26 01:55 PM
1

What did the day game look like. I know so many of these guys whose success would improve if they focused less on approaching and more on appearances. I tell guys to go all in on improving themselves because even though rejection will be high reception and friction in those interactions will be much lower. I don’t care how many approaches you do or how many reps you get if you keep getting bad reception it’s going to be a slog. Stop trying to win the game on hard mode.
/r/seduction07/03/26 02:38 PM
1

I've been casually seeing a woman as a fwb which can feel romantic at times, where she told me to gain more experience with other women. You’re not reading the room here at all.
/r/seduction07/03/26 02:25 PM
5

Yea many guys struggle because they’ve never been in that position. They don’t understand how much of all this is kinda nonsense once you are desirable attractive.
/r/seduction06/03/26 05:57 PM
13

You probably are simply over analyzing everything. It’s used to be talking to women not it’s a Field Report. In many ways all this stuff stunts guys more than helps.
/r/seduction06/03/26 05:30 PM
45

You have to understand that it’s rarely the words you say that matter.
/r/seduction06/03/26 05:26 PM
2

Every guy I’ve ever heard say this was probably missing something that was glaringly obvious. Once again I’m about as average as they come and had no problems and attracted well above by league.
/r/seduction06/03/26 04:45 PM
13

Proximity is the most important concept. I’m no Brad Pitt but I could’ve had a date a night when I lived in a big city. My friends who stayed local who probably had more going on for them struggled mightily. It’s particularly why college will be your best dating experience ever.
/r/seduction06/03/26 04:31 PM

She’s making him uglier to prevent competition lol
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/26 04:23 PM

I read all of this and then I’m not surprised guys just check off dating. I dated my whole life happily married and have had to do none of this.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/26 03:35 PM

No but finding these things out is more of a red flag imo I feel like you’re being incredibly neurotic
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/26 03:21 PM

I don’t think any woman is expecting this?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/26 03:25 PM

We all revert back to the mean in life this is not specifically about dating nor gender related. It’s why just be yourself is actually the greatest dating advice there is. Show me the incentives and I will show you the outcome.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 02:08 PM
2

I would argue the most important communication skill you can learn particularly for former people pleasers is knowing when to set boundaries. You stated all your wife does is list issues with x y and z. At what point is this becoming an energy drain benefit you. It’s “magical thinking” to think if you say or do the right thing your wife is going to change. Many folks here including my own experience is that it’s the complete opposite.
/r/MarriedRedPill11/02/26 05:17 PM
2

It’s people pleasing and also another form of avoidance for solving your own problems.
/r/MarriedRedPill11/02/26 03:09 PM
2

Fundamentally what are you getting from these drawn out sessions with your wife? You don’t have to be a cold hearted bastard but there does come a point with individuals where they need to want to change. I think the best advice for you is limit the venting session and start focus on positive activities you can engage in with you and your kids. There’s no right words or tone here that’s going to make a difference.
/r/MarriedRedPill11/02/26 02:09 PM
1

The problem with inner game is that people are not that dumb. Seriously once I stopped caring about inner game and focused on real tangible stuff my life improved dramatically. I had a pretty successful high level sporting career and the same thing happens with mental game in sports. Mental and inner game are used as shortcut or tricks or avoidance of the real work. Inner game is probably the most counter productive concept in seduction.
/r/seduction09/02/26 04:03 PM

It’s still subconscious vibes you’re giving off. We are also terrible at knowing ourselves and how we are perceived by others.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/26 02:49 PM
3

Your opener literally does not matter. If she finds you attractive you can say pretty much anything. That you are overthinking coming up with the best opener is a tell to me that you think she is out of your league.
/r/seduction09/02/26 02:44 PM

The red pill particularly on TikTok singular goal is engagement farming. You posting multiple links and numerous paragraphs is exactly what they want. I would strongly suggest simply deleting your TikTok account. Your life will be immensely better.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/26 02:34 PM

Honestly who cares it’s essentially getting mad over fan fiction. Half the people on the red pill woman forums are dudes anyways.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 12:58 PM

Your success was likely from what you did while thoughts were present, not from the extra thinking itself, so treating “more analysis” as the driver is the trap. Nobody is saying not to think but you need to start taking more action.
/r/MarriedRedPill27/01/26 05:23 PM

All your problems stem from being obsessed with people’s opinions of you. You are petrified of making a mistake or not being seen as “red pill.” This causes an exhausting amount of overthinking and rumination. The problem with nice guys that come here is that they way overcorrect their behavior and become robotic and autistic. You start becoming obsessed with not being seen as a nice guy which is basically your whole entire OYS is about. There comes a point with many on this subreddit where over…

/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 07:05 PM

It’s not a question I ever think of. I am simply just me.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 01:53 PM

It’s not performative. It’s just nobody does it and sticks with it hence the regression to the mean point. This is true in many domains not just in dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 01:52 PM

The problem is people always regress to the mean. Trying to be someone you’re not is exhausting. I see this a lot in Red pill spaces. I see this a lot with “nice guys.” None of this stuff is really a knowledge issue it’s a point of performance issue. The vast vast majority of people in relationships did do by being their selves. Relationships are about connecting with someone who you can be yourself around.

I think most of these people don’t get in relationships and those who can get away with it have a lot to offer or pick partners who are vulnerable. This also sounds like a really miserable relationship as-well. It’s antagonistic instead of building each other up.

It is quite interesting how few combined social groups there are nowadays I think this is a big issue with an anger nowadays between the sexes. I got great advice from my female friends on dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/26 05:35 PM

Don’t be boring The problem with this though is that people’s perception boring is influenced by looks. It’s subconscious. I’ve come to the conclusion that most of my dating success was probably because I was tall and somewhat of a fitness fanatic. There are plenty of friends and acquaintances who were funnier and more interesting than me but did not get the response. Not a brag either if anything kind of humbling because most of it is just good genetic luck.

The “red pill” has been so bastardized nowadays I don’t even know what you’re getting at. Red Pill many years ago was simply what woman actually found desirable from a revealed preference POV and then advice on what to do. There was never any moralistic judgment on the matter. The political moralistic society issues were never apart of red pill.

The subreddit that tells guys to take accountability for their life and bans guys when they blame their wife for everything. I think most woman would find that incredibly refreshing.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/26 02:46 PM

A man can hold both mindsets simultaneously. I 100% believe nice guys finish last and am almost happily married. Understanding this probably made me a good husband. Nice guys finish last does not mean then you think you have to be an asshole there is much more nuance. The joke of it all is even though incels are incredibly hateful online they act like complete nice guys in real life.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/26 02:41 PM

The red pill was never this moralistic. That’s only when doomers got ahold. It stated clearly without judgment what woman are attracted never that women’s nature was unflattering. You have a lot of leverage as an attractive woman or an attractive man. There’s nothing “good” or “bad” about this.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/26 02:11 PM

Redpill makes you take action for your life. Guys nowadays want everything handed to them nowadays or they want to assign blame for their issues on everybody else particularly woman. The anger towards woman in particular is something I never saw years ago. The most stunning thing about this subreddit to me is how shit everyone’s lifts are. OYS 35 and they are still benching the bar but they just brush past that. When I got into red pill it was largely an off-shoot of fitness forums nobody wanted…

This is maybe one of the oddest projections of one’s own issues in life I have seen on this subreddit. One of the most perfect encapsulations of be careful who you take advice from on this subreddit. In all your moralizing and dealing with your own shit you’re not actually looking at the effect this has on the kids. The compounding factor in all of these things is neuroticism. It’s pretty difficult to be engaged in life and not stumble into a romantic relationship. Every post on this subreddit from an involuntary single man or woman is just neuroticism posting. Social media consumption itself is highly correlated with trait neuroticism. What the fuck happened to the red pill. Seriously back in my day when guys were actually getting good use out of it there was none of this bitching and whining constantly about woman. Blue Pill guys are more red pill than red pill guys nowadays. Just because theoretically woman have more options on a dating app doesn’t mean they are actually into those guys. Dudes are just horny. All of this is simply one giant avoidance mechanism. The planning, the trainers, the perfect diet, the perfect routine, all nonsense. There’s broke retarded high schoolers who have lifting numbers that would dwarf yours because they understand you need to show up everyday. That’s it. Paralysis by analysis is your biggest issue. You’re literally putting KPI’s on how often you need to fuck your wife. More overthinking is not going to solve a overthinking problem.

I have seen so many male friends/acquaintances lose it (emotionally not violently) when a woman doesn’t ghost and tells them why that I don’t blame woman at all when they simply decide to ghost.

If anything I think the red pill has a negative impact on cold approach. They fill guys who are already neurotic (it’s one of the biggest predictors of going down the red pill path) with all these rules and ideas about woman that creates paralysis analysis further.

I’m in my head now This is your single biggest issue and quite frankly 99% of the issues of frequent OYS posters. Stop the rumination/overthinking/worrying. It’s not validation or a self esteem issue it’s the thinking about thinking that is your issue. Is engaging with this thought helping me, or just keeping me stuck?” Then choose to redirect your attention.
/r/MarriedRedPill26/12/25 03:00 PM

More thinking and more reading are not going to solve overthinking. You are getting addicted to insight porn as a distraction for living your life. You need to get out of your head an into your life. A 4th reading of NMMNG is not going to fix this.

Relationship dissatisfaction is often driven less by what happened and more by how long the mind stays on it, how threat-focused attention becomes, and how strongly someone believes the thinking must continue to create safety/closure.

Paradoxically men who go to therapy want this to be the case: They recoil from therapy because therapists do not sit there and validate them. The most common therapy intervention is literally about dismantling the clients cognitive distortions.

You need to sit down then and write out the positives and negatives of continuing to behave/live like your are living. Do not bullshit yourself about the positives they are obviously a lot or else you would’ve changed things by now. Then take a look at the list and decide what you want to do with your life. The luxury isn't the act of rejection, but the abundance of high-quality options that necessitates rejection; you are confusing the ability to say 'no' to someone you don't want with the power to select from a pool of desirable partners who are actively pursuing you. When your market value is low, you aren't 'selecting' based on compatibility, you are simply taking whatever scarce opportunities fall into your lap to avoid the alternative of lifelong solitude.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 03:56 PM
13

High volume is exactly what grants the privilege of high selectivity; the attractive person has the luxury of rejecting 99 incompatible matches to find the one perfect fit, whereas the unattractive person is often forced to settle for whoever is left. You cannot screen for compatibility if you have no candidates to begin with.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 03:50 PM

You are conflating relationship maintenance with relationship acquisition; personality serves as the glue that keeps a couple together, but physical attractiveness is the absolute gatekeeper that determines if the interaction ever begins. Your personal contentment with fewer options does not disprove the statistical reality that looks account for the vast majority of variance in initial romantic success.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 03:33 PM

Fundamentally the heart of all dating discussions come down to looks. I had a phenomenal social psychology professor who was a leading researcher in the field and he started the interpersonal relationship unit with: “I’m not going to bullshit everyone here physical attractiveness is one of the most robust research domains in all of psychology.” Effect size wise it’s not ever worth talking about personality because it matters so very little relatively. You can be an asshole, nice guy, introvert, …

STFU is the best course of action and probably the best RP technique because it simply is the most logical answer. In the big picture of things what do you gain from the constant back and froth or even having to constantly set boundaries. I have 0 interest in being in a relationship where this needs to be addressed. It’s exhausting. Build the life and become the person you want and your wife will either get with the program or you have set yourself up to meet someone who will.
/r/MarriedRedPill11/12/25 03:36 PM

Your problem is the men you are complaining about aren’t perceived as average by the group they are trying to attract. Life isn’t a normal distribution. Dating apps need to give users their aggregated rating and show them those with the same score.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 02:31 PM

The most effective approach with your wife is to replace emotional reaction with strict boundary enforcement and detachment. When she insults you, refuse to argue or defend yourself; instead, calmly state that you will not tolerate disrespect and immediately leave the situation, engaging again only when she speaks respectfully. Behaviorism is powerful. She is looking to get a reaction out of you. Do not let her mood dictate your day. If she is sulking or angry, continue with your plans. Go to th…

The "eager" woman make you feel secure but doesn’t challenge your ego, so you get bored/disgusted. Your ex made you feel insecure, which activated your drive to "prove" you were good enough to catch her. You are addicted to the struggle, not necessarily the person. The fix will be fixing the root cause of your validation issues.
/r/MarriedRedPill02/12/25 03:40 PM

Many of them are drawn to the red pill because of being unsuccessful with woman in their lives. This shapes their entire worldview that woman are evil. Any time a woman exhibits any type of "bad behavior" (heavy emphasis on quotes) it basically confirms their priors.
/r/ExRedPill01/12/25 11:44 PM
2

Your irritation with others is a defense mechanism where you displace your own unwanted feelings onto someone else. You have dichotomy right now with who you are trying to project as oppose to who you are in reality. This is the single biggest stuck point for many in red pill. “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” You like many are in denial about who you are or your current situation. It’s why there is so much spinning of the wheels.
/r/MarriedRedPill25/11/25 02:12 PM

Fundamentally it becomes being okay with failure. So many guys when they first get into RP think they need to be “Alpha Andy.” They can never appear weak or vulnerable or make a fool of themselves. This mindset stunts long-term progress it’s also causes a lot of bitterness. It’s perfection as an avoidance mechanism.
/r/MarriedRedPill18/11/25 05:28 PM

Quite honestly it sounds like you are putting up a ton of barriers as to not be rejected or made to look bad. I don't think you are actually doing it out of a place of abundance I think that is a justification because you are scared of failing and obviously still have some hang-ups about your previous relationships.

Hypergamy discourse is always idiotic to me because they are always assuming the male is higher status. In reality couples are always “matched.” Everything is assortative mating. Fundamentally and now more than ever why men struggle with dating is they think they are bringing much more to the table than in reality. It’s something I loved about dating apps. They are so brutally honest.

They feel attracted, then feel bad for feeling attracted. Instead of thinking, “I’m responsible for my reaction,” it flips into, “She’s making me feel this way; she’s the problem.” Moralizing her outfit is a way to outsource their discomfort with their own sexuality. Seeing a woman dress confidently can highlight their own lack of confidence, social power, or romantic success. Criticizing her becomes a quick ego repair: If she’s “trash,” then it doesn’t sting that she’s out of my league.

You need to simplify everything. An exercise plan you will do no matter what. A nutritional plan that is extremely low friction. Adherence is more predictive of results than optimization. It doesn’t really dwell on the past and it is extremely focused on behavioral skills. Even Glover’s book has some CBT exercises in it.

People are so consumed with not being seen as a nice guy that they don’t actually take Glover’s advice in the book. A few main ones being: Accept themselves as they are, flaws included. Set boundaries and be okay with others’ disapproval. Take responsibility for their own happiness. People instead become obsessed with not being perceived as a nice guy. They have a new covert contract. It’s a new form of people pleasing. There is a lot of performative behaviors nowadays in RP circles.
/r/MarriedRedPill02/10/25 04:23 PM

This subreddit is simply neuroticism. From both genders. It’s the most neurotic folks from each gender arguing about things that do not matter at all to normies.

The biggest problem with porn is that it is an extremely easy way to “get your rocks off” with extremely low friction. If you are constantly satiated you’ll never want to put in the effort to meet real individuals. Horniness is a helluva motivator.

You are deeply obsessed with what other people think about you that it prevents you from making any progress. All the reading you’ve done has probably fucked you up even more. You have all these stupid labels running through your head constantly. You are not that important. I don’t say that to be cutting but to give you permission to start failing. You need heavy duty exposure therapy. Drop the reading and start doing shit that makes you incredibly uncomfortable. No excuses, no waiting for the p…

/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/25 11:04 AM

Or women simply decided they could do both (like men) when presented with the opportunity. It’s a a revealed preference thing. I live in a fairly wealthy almost every single woman could be a stay at home mom if they wanted and the vast majority of them work. Research shows time and time again woman with jobs outside of the home are happier than SAHMs.

You are the quintessential “angry” nice guy. You do all these things expecting to get rewarded by your gf, peers, society etc. When that doesn’t happen the anger you are suppressing surfaces in ugly/unattractive ways. There was a study done on incels and it showed they had very high levels of autism relative to the population.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/25 11:52 AM

There is a very high concentration of autism and other social issues among incels. Once you understand this very peculiar things like not understanding woman like attractive men start to make more sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/25 11:39 AM

Women collectively do not admit they’re attracted to attractive men. This is quite literally the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard in my life. You must’ve never hung out with mixed social groups growing up.

I think some of you get a bit too autistic about external validation. It's perfectly normal to feel good from external validation. The issue isn't the feeling itself. The problem begins when you design your entire life around getting that approval, or when you make 'covert contracts' with people, expecting them to pay you in praise.

If you break it down by age group this is not the case. Nor is it historically. There is a 30-40 year period in the USA where partnered numbers were at all time highs we are actually now leveling off to normal levels. Also divorce rates per 1000 are lower than ever in younger generations. Older woman had some of the highest ever meaning they settled because they had to.

The finding that physical attractiveness is a, and often the, primary driver of initial romantic interest and therein relationship formation is one of the most robust and consistently replicated findings in social psychology. Personality is shown to have very little effect sizes. There was a famous studies that had a bunch of colleges kids randomly assigned different dating partners based on what they were told were optimized personality assessments and traits they said they favored. The result was stunningly clear: The only significant predictor of whether a person wanted to date their partner again was their partner's physical attractiveness. Honestly it’s mostly why you see a lot of fake red pill LARPers they thin…

Sex involves two people. Having someone who desires you enough to want to have sex with you is a way to cure said loneliness. Part of the reason sex is much more fulfilling than simply beating your meat.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/25 03:55 PM

Nice guy/bad boy discourse is completely missing the forest for the trees and is simply confirmation bias. Black pillers actually have a much better perspective on this. I’ve seen this in red pill communities for years.

There was a large dating experiment with young people in the 1960’s. A bunch of men and women meeting each other. Physical attractiveness was the only factor that predicted wanting a second date. Physical attractiveness as a research subject basically stopped being studied by like the 90’s because it was so robust at that point

Both terms are copes from each genders and about their actual value. In both situations they are simply dating their equals. You see this a lot in the gender subreddits everyone complains about how everyone they date has issues not realizing that is their market.

Revealed preferences studies still show they downplay it considerably. Obviously women wouldn’t deny your claim it’s the statistical impact where the dichotomy is.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/25 02:27 PM
47

Study after study show women consistently downplay physical attraction and its downstream effects. It’s so common now that looking through a social psych textbook for 2025 (which tend to be very feel goody) a good 2/3rds of interpersonal relationship chapter focuses on it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/25 02:20 PM

The debates would be resolved if men became desirable and stopped whining about women. Guess what if you become a guy the opposite sex finds attractive you can do a lot of shit men on here cry about constantly. You are never going change preferences either get your shit together or STFU. Also what is the debate women like attractive and successful men. The horror! I too like attractive and successful women.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/25 03:27 PM

Behavioral/systematic friction is more of a problem than knowledge. One thing I’ll tell the younger guys is many married men my age would probably be struggling just as much if there was a swap.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/25 02:57 PM

Certainly are individual outliers but a fairly robust study found basically no gains and even a decrease in satisfaction with sex more than once a week. Hedonic treadmill is quite powerful.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/25 02:49 PM

There is a significant diminishing returns with sex that people who don’t have a lot of sex fundamentally don’t understand. Sex is everything until it’s not.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/25 02:17 PM

I suppose the issue is that both sides don’t have a clue on how bad both perspectives are which biases the matter. Your points are completely valid. This issue is these men making these complaints are coming from a perspective where they essentially get 0 attention from the opposite sex.

/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/25 01:35 PM

You’d be somewhat surprised people’s perceptions. Spotlight effect makes those prone to anxiety think people are more focused on them than they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/25 01:26 PM

Everything about dating to me makes logical sense when you look at it from an evo-psych perspective. I simply don’t understand where the anger from other men comes from.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/25 11:51 AM
3

The single biggest issue is that couples are extremely matched. The guys who whine women want men 10x have absolutely 0 clue of their mate value.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/25 11:26 AM

There’s plenty of evo-psych theories that have been replicated and are robust. Everything that your simply copy and pasted here could be said about many other research domains. Evo-psych actually fairs quite well in the social sciences on the replicability index.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/25 05:27 PM

15ish years ago most red pill discourse was basically rehashing David Buss’ work. There was never the focus on moralizing (complaining) about women’s choices. Most guys lives and relationships improved and they moved on.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/25 05:18 PM

Because the things red pill encouraged didn’t leave a lot of time to whine on message boards. I guess it was more red pill than the Red Pill(tm) it’s become today.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/25 05:15 PM

It's quite depressing seeing what the red pill has turned into when I see of the most whining and complaining almost always coming from men with red pill flairs. They are complaining about stuff that is Red Pill 101. Red Pill helped a lot of guys back in the day and now it has been completely overrun by whiners, complainers, etc. I guess the issue is the guys who had success moved on with their lives and the ones who stuck around and stayed around starting spewing nonsense.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/25 05:09 PM

Upper Body Musculature determines 70% of the variance in male physical attractiveness. Meanwhile the Red Pill has been overrun by gamer nerds who want to bitch about women and can't even bench the bar. Back in my day on red pill forums you weren't even allowed to discuss women if you didn't first talk about your diet and fitness. Honestly diet and fitness solved a lot of problems for most of the guys who came to the forums.

ChatGPT but nevertheless this is essentially what it all boils down to. Once my life got in order I basically had to put in 0 effort to attract women.

It essentially works on mate value in two different directions. One you lower her perceived value if you pick out a flaw. Second you show that you are the type of guy who is confident enough that he isn't afraid to tease women. Agreeableness has shown to be a very unattractive trait. Most women aren't as aware of the technique as you think they are. The more attractive they are the more rare it is for them to get any sort of teasing.
