I've set boundaries so I'm not in danger of becoming the emotional crutch/therapist and he didn't oppose it at all. He has professionals in his family and can get those services himself. I haven't asked him for gifts, still undecided about that, but he'll be coming to visit for two weeks in style. We already have reservations booked. He also understands and agrees to the relationship dynamic that I am seeking. So once we do start seeing each other in person I am expecting a lot.

I would have to agree that it is unfair that a woman has the full authority to veto her offspring but a man does not in the case of a woman claiming rights to motherhood.
