A man and a woman will hook up and the man will get blamed for "objectifying" and "sexualizing" the woman, and that same woman is a queen for sleeping with whoever she wants

Here's the thing: if you're trying to be nice, you're also trying to make sure you're not overstepping someone's boundaries or making them uncomfortable, which is unconfident behavoir, and a major turn off to women. Being confident when flirting with a girl requires you to basically just make a leap of faith and hope you're not coming off as an asshole. One woman's "being swept of my feet" would come off as "sexual harassment" to another woman, and men can't read minds. Also, assholes ALWAYS hav…

A lot of women think there's something wrong with it because they think men should have to be nice to women by default.

You have baggage, I have baggage, we all have baggage. And most of it originates in our formative years and then we just keep carrying it and adding to it. No. Some people have more baggage than others, a LOT more. Some people have spent a lot more time working on themselves during their formative years, while others have spent them partying and sleeping around. These two kinds of people are simply not equal. Your choices build who you are. People can change, but rarely actually do, and I'd stil…

Here's the way I see it: Blue Pill: "There is no psychological difference between the sexes and any disparity between the two is because of the patriarchy or puritanism or whatever our boogeyman of the month is" Red Pill: "There are massive differences between the sexes due to evolutionary psychology and you should manipulate the opposite sexes' psychology as much as possible, while adhering to yours." People will say "just don't go on social media then" and completely ignore how it influences your family, coworkers, potential partners and society at large. It's good to be aware of women's behavoir and attitudes, although you should be consuming outrage content.

That's because men don't gain comfort from sympathy or affirmation or anything like that. We need to improve ourselves to feel better. Women feel better after watching those kind of cliches because they feel sympathized with. A man isn't going to feel better after watching a scene where a heartbroken guy goes to the gym, he's going to feel better if he actually goes to the gym. This is why women's mental help advice uses phrases like "you matter, you deserve this, you're perfect the way you are"…

Speaking purely from my own perspective as a male, I don't think this is true. I think the "whores" you're referring to can definitely be motherly, and the "madonnas" can definitely be insanely hot. They're not mutually exclusive Most women I don't categorize, if I get to know her more I'll notice certain traits. From my interactions with other men, several then have met their current GFs (or even wives) from hooking up, so maybe they saw her as a "whore" but then realized he liked her personali…

Men sometimes have their own dual mating strategy, but don't do it as often as women do. In my experience more men know very early on if they want to be sleeping around, or if they want to find a wife. Some change their minds, most don't. But women more often want to "explore" and "be free" and then settle down with husband material later.

Some women are like that. It's up to you to avoid them. If you're constantly looking for extremely conventionally attractive women then don't be surprised when they turn out to have the mentality of a child because they've never had to work for anything in their life.

It really depends on what your standards are. It's totally fine to not want to date/have sex with someone you're repulsed by. Especially if it's something they can control like weight and grooming. But also, some people have ridiculous physical standards and if they weren't constantly thinking about them, they'd be attracted to a lot more people in an insant. Physical attraction towards other people is something you can control to a degree, I know this from experience. Some of these girls expect…

Not at all. Assuming the worst of a potential partner is never good. Understanding that they might not have your best interests at heart is fine. I can't come up with a perfect dating strategy, no one can. All I'm saying is that you're less likely to come across people who only want you for sex if you don't have sex with them right away. It sounds like you're in an incredibly small minority of people who are DTF fairly early on in a relationship but aren't trying to hook up. Finding people who a…

It's everyone's responsibility to vet potential partners, not unique to you or your dating strategy. I wouldn't call waiting for an emotional connection before having sex a "game". And if you feel like withholding pleasure is that bad, are you sure you aren't just interested in hooking up? Plenty of people have to withhold pleasure. Sorry that you don't have a magical ability to tell when people are lying, none of us do, that's just the reality of life.

I'm allowed to find the fact men want sex without an emotional connection gross and creepy. So I'm assuming you've never hooked up or had a one night stand? And you know when I have known a man really was into me for a lot more than sex and even probably would have gone without sex potentially until marriage? Go ahead, guess: he was trying to sweep me off my feet with romantic gestures, was well willing to wait about the sex topic, and did not seem to feel sexual compatibility was important to e…

I’ve had conversations with red pill guys here who have waited for months for the chance that eventually a girl would sleep with him. It really wouldn't be surprising if those guys were lying, but yeah it's possible they weren't either. But most guys who are only in it for sex aren't gonna wait nearly that long. The longer you wait, the better. No one but the most talented of actors can feign emotional interest for very long.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 03:24 AM

Unfortunately there's no surefire way to tell the difference between 1. Someone who is only interested in sex, and 2. Someone who's okay to have sex early on in a relationship but still wants a long term emotional connection. But the latter is always going to be more willing to wait longer, so the longer you're willing to wait, the better.

I suppose it's not possible to accurately to predict when you're ready to have sex in a relationship, but most people have a rough idea of what they want out of a relationship, whether they need to feel secure, or feel a connection, etc.. It should be okay to ask about this without being accused of only wanting someone for sex.

From my experience, there's a lot of women out there who only want dates or friendship. Maybe not a ton, but enough to make dating an extreme pain. My friend's sister straight up admitted that she's only on Hinge for male friends. She dated a guy for nearly a year, he made some furniture for her (he was a woodworker) and when he wanted to make the relationship more serious she said she liked him more as a friend. IDK how common this is, it's not like you can make a poll about it and expect to ge…

However we also know that many men will fake emotional interest for the sake of sex. Precisely. Women would be able to weed these men out by making clear boundaries from the beginning, i.e. "I don't have sex until I'm at least a year in to a relationship"
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 01:27 AM

What do you mean "men nuke their friendships"? If a guy doesn't want to remain friends with a woman he was romantically interested in, he doesn't have to. It's painful to stay friends with someone you wanted a relationship with. It's not because the guy only ever wanted sex, but the emotional connection will rot if you're sexually frustrated. There are only potential upsides for the man if the woman chooses to have sex with him. There aren't many potential upsides for the woman if she chooses to…

I must have forgotten to type it. anyone in the dating scene who doesn’t just want hookups has to be on guard for the people who “choose the latter” and have sex despite the lack of emotional connection. I agree with this, but conversely, anyone in the dating scene who doesn't just want platonic dates has to be on guard for people who don't want sex even if there is an emotional connection

I feel like if you asked both men and women how they felt about communicating sexual desires early on in a relationship, men would overwhelmingly be more okay with it. But I have no data to back up this statement.

I said some men. And I said most men want both. It isn't always an either/or scenario. Again, they aren't mutually exclusive.

The "friend zone" means a woman doesn't see a guy as sexually compatible with her. And it's difficult to stay friends with someone you wanted a deeper connection with. Men are in a hurry to get sex because we want to know if we're sexually compatible or not. If women were more upfront about sex, or at least okay with men wanting to discus it, they wouldn't feel like rushing it. We DO care about the journey, the "getting to know each other" stage, but sex is often on our minds. We can wait for se…

Bluepill women: "all dudes care about is a woman's attractiveness and will ditch their GF for a more attractive/younger one given the chance!" Also bluepill women: get into relationships with nearly any guy they want, solely on the basis of their looks/youth and bring nothing else to the relationship It's like if a guy signed up for a job where he has to flip pancakes, and then gets mad when his employer fires him for a guy who flips pancakes faster.

I'd rather date a 5/10 woman who is saving her virginity until marriage than a 10/10 who has had sex before. I'm not even religious. I want to only ever have sex with 1 woman and the thought of a potential spouse not doing the same for me disgusts me. A woman who saves intimacy for someone who she wants to spend the rest of her life with is instantly attractive to me and it's a sign of commitment and emotional maturity.

Why do you believe when a woman has a job, she is a corporate wage slave, but this doesn’t apply to a man? It wouldn't turn me off - I'd love the attention, actually - but it would make me question the longevity of the relationship. In the rare instances that a woman puts a man on a pedestal, it's ususally because she was recently in an abusive relationship, or because she's coping with some sort of loss, or has some self-esteem issues. None of these problems would make me less attracted to her, but I'd want to help her fix them in a healthy way. I'd reassure her that she doesn't need to do all those…

One of the most reliable predictors of a divorce is if a woman makes more than her husband (and these divorces are almost always initiated by the woman). I personally wouldn't mind dating a woman who makes much more than me, but statistically, she's eventually going to see me as disposable. Women already shot themselves in the foot in this regard by constantly divorcing men who are poorer than them. It's going to take decades for them to build up trust. Until then, it's going to take a LOT of af…

Its incredibly hypocritical because these are the same women who then turn around and get mad at their partner for liking pictures of girls dressed in a vulgar way. This is a double standard that I've noticed a lot, yes. Whenever a woman says it's "controlling" for her man to say she can't go out to bars in skimpy clothing, I always pose her this question: would you be okay with your BF going to bars specifically to look at women who dress the way she does ?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 06:35 PM

You know, I wouldn't mind women like this avoiding men, its definitely a win for us. If a woman doesn't want to be around men that's fine, even if she has batshit insane reasons for doing so. But if a man were to say the exact same thing about women, these people would literally start frothing at the mouth.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/23 06:30 PM

How many of them are single? Because men and women can totally be friends if they're already satisfied romantically and sexually. It's hard to see a friend of the opposite gender as just a friend if you want a GF/BF badly.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/23 06:26 PM

Why wouldn't they like it? This doesn't really prove anything. Fathers might be settling out of court because they know they're going to lose, or because they'll be broke afterwards even if they win.

They will get emotional if you ghost them anyway. And if they argue you don't have to argue back. Just a single text along the lines of "I do not want to continue this relationship" is better than ghosting in every case. You don't even have to look at the response to said text.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 06:25 PM

I don't understand how ghosting is a survival technique. If a woman feels like a date is a potential stalker/abuser/etc then her best bet at "survival" is owning a gun. If he isn't, then giving a respectful "I dont feel a spark" or something along those lines is the best way to not continue dating. I think these women perfectly understand that ghosting is inappropriate and only do it to get back at men for perceived injustices.

If you're a woman and making a decent sum of money you're totally entitled to ask for your partner to make a similar amount of money (assuming you'll split housing costs) Men get angry at the women who make very little or straight up don't wish to work, who are demanding a man make 6 figures. When you ask for these requirements do you mention how much you're making?

Because women have so much power in dating that if they're still single by 30 it's often because they're picky. It a man is single by his 30s it's typically because he hasn't been picked yet.

It seems as though you’re skipping the part where the man is also in their thirties Men being single in their 30s isn't remotely the same as women being single in their 30s. We have so much more to work on to be considered dateable, it may take us until our 30s. Besides, women are more often attracted to men who are older than them.

Probably the biggest red flag you can see in other men is addiction to alcohol/drugs. Almost every POS boyfriend I've known or heard about was an alcoholic to some degree. If he has to drink every weekend to have fun, that's a major red flag. The second is temperament. If he gets unreasonably pissed off at small things - getting stuck in traffic, losing in a video game, etc., there's a good chance he will be angry with you later on in the relationship. Yeah, but honestly my standards for someone not being boring are pretty low. Do you think women can still be hot in their early 30s? Absolutely, as long as she actually has a personality and hobbies. If she thinks she's valuable solely because she's a woman, then yeah, she loses desirability. "The wall" is real, but it only exists for women who have built it themselves.

Sometimes abusers are good at hiding it, but the majority you can see coming from a mile away. The fact that women discuss "icks" about something as innocuous as how a guy puts on his shoes, while ignoring whether or not he's a violent felon or drug/alcohol addict, is testament to how poorly a lot of women's choices in partners are. Any and all of men's advice to women on how to pick partners is going to be twisted unto "victim blaming" anyway, so it's not like we can help.

Feminism operates under a lot of principles and premises but the one we're concerned with here is the fact that men are a privileged group in society Idk who said this quote but "Feminists see themselves as perpetually oppressed because they only compare themselves to high status men and don't see low status men as human" The manosphere is low status men's response to not being seen as human.

Men have to work on a lot of things to be dateable: having hobbies, a career, a house, confidence, being funny etc. Naturally you get better at these things over time. Women typically don't have to do anything to be dateable. As a consequence, younger women are picked more often for their youth. Men don't inherently age better than women, but we absolutely have to if we are looking for a partner. Women could age as well as men do, they just choose not to.

You’re literally arguing that women shouldn’t have a vote in another sub I also told a dude to buy a hammer to hit his own balls with in another subreddit. What I say in other posts isn't pertinent here. Also, if no one is dragging out invading men in the women's only train, then that isn't going to last very long when the type of men who grope women on trains realize they won't be punished.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/23 08:29 PM

Why are certain men only interested in equality when it’s to stop women taking measures to protect themselves? Because in this scenario we are being expected to pay for it. Women aren't taking measures to protect themselves here, they're expecting men to handle their protection. Who do you think built the train cars? Who do you think is going to drag a man out for invading a women-only train? I'm fine if women have their own spaces, glad, actually. But if I'm being denied a similar space, I'm no…

I doubt that having a single train cart for women is going to cost any extra. Then it's not going to cost any extra to have a single train cart for men only. would you really beseech paying an extra £1 to stop a kid being molested? I would gladly pay an extra £2 for that, and equal treatment. I'd also gladly pay as much or more for any other security measure that isn't discriminatory. Also I'm lmaoing at everyone using the word "feelings" as if it will magically change my kind.

It's not about "men's feelings" it's about equality. And if I have to pay for an extra train (either through taxes or higher ticket prices) that I can't even use, yes it is still a punishment. What if someone suggest a "whites only" train cart because black people statistically commit more thefts? It would be shot down immediately because you can't exclude a certain group from anything just because more criminals happen to be from that group.

Men don't get male only spaces because they consistently get protested, harassed, or invaded by feminists. Earl Silverman founded a domestic abuse shelter for men but it was shut down. The Boy Scouts of America also starting letting girls join even though there's an entirely separate organization for Girl Scouts. Of course, there's a history of sexual abuse in the Boy Scouts so it's not a great organization anyway but the fact that boys won't have their own program anymore is still fucked.

It's getting vitriol because it's collective punishment. Why should I have to miss a train to work because the regular ones are full, but there's a non-full train I can't go in because I'm a male? Hold the predatory men accountable, obviously, but don't collectively punish the men who have done nothing wrong (ie the vast majority of men). Offering men-only trains would be the perfect solution for this.

Cheating is always just as bad no matter who does it. While it does operate differently for the sexes(for woman it's much easier to cheat because it's easier to find someone interested in you) it's still just as bad. Paternal Uncertainty is a very real and primal driver of men’s feelings of betrayal. Tricking a man into raising another man's kids is horrible and one of the worst things a woman can do to a man, but it's a separate thing from cheating. A man is roundly derided as a piece of shit b…

That choice is massively influenced by societal factors trying to get women to have fewer kids. News outlets, TV shows, and journalists are trying to paint have kids as some sort of hell that strips you of your identity, and this movement is not organic.

I think the average guy would just be more than happy to be with the average girl that he wouldn't even think of leaving. And a 10/10 girl would literally never show interest in an average man. She'd only show interest in 10/10 men. Of course, it goes down to each individual's loyalty, and below average dudes can still be pieces of shit, but the idea that average dudes are somehow more likely to leave their GF is baffling.

One of the standards I see lied about most often is when a woman is looking for a "sensitive man who isn't afraid to show his feelings", but the moment he shows any sort of vulnerability, she catches the "ick" and no longer sees him as a man.

There's not that much resentment for the standards themselves, as there is for the double standards, inconsistent standards, or women straight up lying about what they want in a man. Also, women's standards for men are far, far higher than men's standards for women. I'm not saying it's necessarily a pro blem, but it is something to acknowledge.

Women (and men) can have any standard they want when it comes to a partner. My problem is when they don't hold themselves to the same standard, or when they get upset that very few people meet their standards.

In terms of dressing well and having a nice haircut, a lot of guys (me included) just don't like spending money on that kind of stuff. I despise consumerism with a passion, and if a girl doesn't like that I don't spend a lot of money on clothes and haircuts, we were never a good match anyway.

If often see/hear arguments - both online and IRL - about a guy being upset this his girlfriend/wife is going out in a revealing outfit. The responses are usually overwhelmingly about how he's insecure and doesn't have a say in what his GF/wife wears. The question I always pose is this: would she be okay if her BF/husband went to similar venues specifically to see other woman dressed the way she wants to dress? Does this seem like a fair standard?

It's hard to determine which came first, the chicken or the egg. I'd argue that a lot of men turn to pornography after failing to get girlfriends.

Lots of people have vastly differing opinions on what the "redpill" even means. For some people, they just think it means someone is fat, misogynistic, unemployed, incel, etc. They're so focused on insulting the ideology that they don't even think about what the ideology even means anymore and just think that redpill means you hate women. For other people, the "redpill" literally just means you shouldn't hate yourself for being a male. Thats it.

It absolutely matters. As a guy who is a virgin, I'd like to find a woman who has the same views on relationships I do. I want to find a life partner, and I have no interest in sleeping around because it does long term damage to your ability to bond with someone. Sex isn't just about pleasure, it's about bonding and commitment. Virginity does matter. It's not like I'd turn down a woman who was a non-virgin but is otherwise perfect for me - but I'd always be asking myself, "what if I met her soon…

I'm very calm, patient, and easygoing. I'm very low maintenence, and all I would need in a relationship is regularly spending some time together doing anything, even if it's watching TV or going on a walk. I'm someone that people can relax around, and seek help from. But I also don't just make people dependent on me, I instead try to give people the strength to fix my their own problems.

There is no such thing as meeting the right person at the wrong time. If you need to make excuses as to why it's the wrong time, they simply arent the right person - or you're not the right person. Humans aren't dentist appointments that you get to schedule whenever it's convenient for you.

It's actually insane how often I hear woman say or imply: "if he's nervous around women, that means he's a creep/sexist"

I remember being desperate to get a GF, l looked up and asked for advice, stuff like "be funny, have several hobbies, go traveling, be physically fit and muscular, have a good job, be a little assertive but not to much, be able to read her mind, etc." I worked on these for a few years and had little luck. One day I randomly wondered "is the woman I meet going to do any of this stuff to attract a man?"

I think the reason some men are so averse to it is because it's been so fetishized recently by antinatalists. Have you ever seen one of those posts about a couple throwing a "vasectomy party" and other stuff like that? I've even seen videos of wives trying to "surprise" their husbands by giving them a card saying they have to get a vasectomy, and of course taking a video of their reaction. I think some men's averse-ness towards getting a vasectomy isn't about the procedure itself, but the humili…

This is the biggest "pill" both men and women need to take regarding modern gender dynamics TBH. To be fair, there's still a lot of men who feel entitled to sex, but it's being recognized as a problem and has been trending downward IMO. But women feeling entitled to friendship is rarely acknowledged and its been getting worse from what I've seen. The best anyone can do is be honest about what you're seeking in a relationship (whether it's a romantic, sexual, or platonic one) and be honest about …

It''s not that men aren't treating you as human beings, they just don't want anything to do with you. Just because someone wants sex with someone doesn't mean they hate them. You're still operating under the entitlement that OP described. Being treated as a human being by someone doesn't mean they have to be friends with you.

If your best friend was gay and suddenly ghosted you because you didn’t want to have sex with him would you not feel a bit offended? Not at all, and I imagine most other straight men would also be fine with this.

There's a decent amount you can do to improve your looks, but a large part of it is just how you're born as - height, facial shape, etc. A lot of guys can look better by working out and by getting a good haircut, but you need to be in the top 10% of looks to even be considered by most women, and better habits simply won't cut it for most men.

Idk if I'm supposed to reply in this thread because I'm a guy, but I wanted to respond to this part: I assume men are capable of the same thing, seeing a woman who is pretty, but not their cup of tea. As a single guy, I'm not really capable of the same thing. If I think a woman is awesome, I'd catch feelings for her. The only exceptions are women that are significantly out of my age range or women who are in a relationship. And I can't speak for all men, but I'd guess that most of us feel the sa…

Men don't inherently age better than women do. But men often age better because we have a lot more work to do in order to get any kind of relationship - whether it's become more physically fit, sociable, having hobbies, or just having more money. Naturally, you get better at these things over time. Meanwhile, any young woman who isn't overweight already is playing the dating game on easy mode. Women who just go through their 20s purely on looks are naturally not going to age well when they're in…
