Yeah I'm definitely psyching myself out. I've actually never jacked off with soap because I learned that it was a bad idea from reading online before trying thankfully. I just don't feel like irritation would last this long, but I don't know. I started using an anti-fungal cream today just to be sure.

Yeah, it really is a bleak situation for men. I have many friends who have long-term girlfriends, and almost all of them I look at and think "wow, I would not stay with her", yet my friends do. I should note that a few of these friends are waaaaay smarter than I, but their instincts override all else.

Hey thanks, I've been trying to be more calm about the whole thing (and I've made some progress) but am still pretty concerned unfortunately. I do need to continue playing Red Dead though so that's great advice and will hopefully distract me. What you said really did put some things in perspective for me though. That's the sad part. Before this experience I'd considered going to Thailand for some time now. I won't be now, but I do wish I could be more relaxed about this stuff like most people seem to be. I guess I'll ask even though it completely goes against your advice (sorry), but have you had any complications from doing similar things in Thailand?

Thanks for some level-headed talk. I definitely realized doing things like that isn't for me, and to just be comfortable with myself and not put sex on a pedestal like I did after not having any for such an extended period of time. This will absolutely be a great lesson for me if everything comes back clean. As for assuming that it'll come back clean, I will try to do that as long as no symptoms present. I think that's best for my sanity at this point.
