I'm an adult male and enjoy animated movies as works of art, fuck me right?

It was pretty obvious it was about that when they aired the episode.. It was during a time when 2-3 teachers had recently been caught fucking their boy students and basically got a slap on the wrist. It's still obvious without context, but it was right up in your face if you watched it in context.

Yeah... there is that too. I really used to respect Matt for the most part, but when it comes to Feminism/Atheism+ he just loses his capability to use logic instead of emotional arguments. I can't even listen to the atheist experience anymore. I've also noticed this trend of it becoming more and more out of control recently in other places like you said. I guess I was just sharing personal experience.

It's not just young girls, but I've noticed that some of my friends flipped this switch within the first semester at college. It's like they joined a cult.

It seems like once they hit college and visit the women's center they come out as fembots spouting what ever mindless bullshit their sociology department is brainwashing them with. I knew someone who was totally chill, and pretty intelligent. Then within the last few months she's been increasingly radicalizing with feminist propaganda.

Oh yeah you're probably right, I was thinking of homeless people are mostly men. My mistake!

Most poor people are men, and veterans, and they also receive the least amount of help and have the least options to get help. This is also probably because they are considered disposable, and considered dregs of society. Sorry I went on a bit of a rant, it's late and a flood of stuff entered my brain and I tried to parse it as best I could. Thanks for talking with us and considering our ideas on genered issues :)

Whether or not you're okay with being circumcised, don't you think baby boys have a right not to have an irreversible and totally unnecessary operation done to them, that they may regret later? Like at least let people choose if they want to cut part of their dick off.

Through out history men have been considered the disposable, less valuable sex. For example in any dangerous situation women and children are always considered first. Most dangerous jobs are expected to be filled by men, or if a dangerous job needs to be done, men are compelled to do it or be ridiculed (coal mines, WW2 drafts, etc). Men have always been expected to protect their families at the cost of their life if necessary. Men have always been expected to be meat shields in war if necessary.…

This is more than someone being rude on Facebook. This is someone seeking vigilante justice on someone without so much as "Fuck this guy up if you see him." I think the idea that vigilante justice through social interaction is definitely a big deal and something worth discussing.

Male birth control is infinitely more complex to create. Women biologically have an off switch for pregnancy. This trigger is pulled by a combination of hormone levels that are created by pregnancy itself. This is why women don't become pregnant with another baby while pregnant, normally. Men are biologically programmed to make sperm until we die, there's no biological off switch for it.

Feminism and MRA shouldn't be incompatible if the goal of both was equality or egalitarianism. Unfortunately, modern feminism starts with the idea that all the problems in the world start with Patriarchy, and all of their solutions revolve around that idea. In this sense, I don't see how men can seek equality along side feminism since before we even have a discussion with each other, we're presumed to be the cause of their problems to begin with. I would love for egalitarians that call themselve…

Yeah that's a better comparison. Obviously not all women are like this, but the ones who are not seem to be more rare these days.

Sometimes it seems they regard us closer to dogs. Animals that need to be trained and tamed to do their bidding. Of course I have more respect for dogs my than a lot of people, so maybe that's not a great comparison.

The way I see it is, even if something seems weird to me, people should do what makes them happy with whomever makes them happy. As long as they aren't hurting anyone else unwillingly (in the case of BSDM), it's none of my business.

Yeah I don't condemn people based on stereotypes either. I'm not one to say "feminists are x or y". I will say that modern Feminism is a crock of bullshit though. Everything being taught in gender studies is basically misandrist feminist propaganda. This ideology is seeping into schools making boys disadvantaged. I don't think most feminists are bad. They are either misinformed and indoctrinated using fear and emotional exploits, to believe men are the root of all evils. Or they are egalitarian …

Most people who call themselves feminists probably shouldn't be feminists. The radfems are dictating literature, propaganda, and what feminist organizations are doing these days. If you don't believe in patriarchy blindly, and rape culture, you're not really following modern feminism anymore.

That's a good point. I was kind of joking to make a point. I don't really think I could exploit people or lie even if it was easy money. If I knew it was a lie I wouldn't be able to live with myself. Then again I have a code of ethics.

She's too busy being a professional victim now getting invited to make up bullshit in TED Talks and tv shows. She purposefully says stuff to rile people up and deletes comments that don't make her look like a victim. I won't lie though. If I could make money and play video games by pretending to be a victim, I'd to it too.

The problem I have with ideal forms of government or political ideologies, is that people aren't ideal. So generally the worst possible outcome is what will happen, and the forms of government that aren't strong enough to handle that will change into a form of tyranny or in some cases democracy.

Agreed. I would say it's a strawman. Patriarchy is a strawman, and rapeculture myth is a result of that.

I believe in equal rights, but I don't buy into all of the libertarian ideas on politics. For example I think it's the responsibility of a civilized society to care about some of the problems we all face and to share in the burden in some of those problems. I do agree with keeping government out of my personal life and property, but I do not believe in absolutely no social systems. I'm not saying libertarianism isn't a good idea, or anything like that. Some of the point of views seem too black a…

Rape culture is another one of their fallacious ideologies created to hate on men. The feminist organizations spread material like posters that say, "Men you can stop rape - Don't rape women".

In Warren Ferrel's speech in Canada and I believe he mentions this in one of his books. He said that American Football is child abuse (or boy abuse) at the school level, and on the professional level it makes sport of and glorifies the violence against men, and teaches men to be violent. He says it much better than I can, but that's the gist I got from it.

There is a time and place for everything. Bringing up controversial and unpopular opinion around people you know would automatically hate you for it is inadvisable. It sucks, but people are complex social beings. It is more useful and more tactful to bring these issues up when and where it can be productive. With the hope that eventually society will open up enough for us to be open about how we feel about these subjects. Mens rights hasn't hit the coming out of the closet phase yet unfortunatel…

I'm pretty sure a lot of our issues also affect the LGBTQ group, but unless more of them become involved it'll be hard to really say how we should advocate with them about rights. I'd hate to be like the feminists who are not LBGTQ and force feed how they should feel down their throats. I'd love to hear it from them myself and help them stand up for their issues.
/r/MensRights03/12/12 01:57 AM

Exactly. Anyone who is affected by the issues of Mensrights should be welcome with open arms. I would love to see more gay, and trans people share their point of views. I don't think straight non-trans people should pretend to speak for their issues. We need them to join in the discussion so we can get their point of view though. Everyone who is sick of gender roles and gender discrimination, especially how it applies to men, should be part of the MRM.

I think not sticking your dick in crazy is obvious. What's not so obvious is that the person you're involved with is crazy before you stick the dick in it. So for this to have any real benefit, we need to teach kids how to get to know someone before fucking them, and general sex education based on science and psychology, instead of what we have.

All people deserve to be treated with respect and dignity by default. However, their actions can determine if they still deserve that courtesy. This is different than the feeling of respect, where you admire a person for who they are. Though, if you act like this toward strangers until they give you a good reason not to, it is generally better than being a dick.

The Women’s Centre would, however, support a men’s centre on one condition, and I paraphrase: if the men used the centre to admit to their gender crimes. Ah so a men's center should be run by feminists to shame them for being men. I can't imagine why the men on campus would disagree and feel they need a safe space from this kind of treatment, to discuss issues. edit: fixed typo

All I said was I disagreed with his stereotypes but understood why he'd have them given his situation. One sentence isn't a lecture. You guys are making a bigger deal out of this than I did. I'm not choosing to quibble. People who are arguing with me that the stereotypes are justified, and I'm saying they detract from the discussion in response to that. If you think that is shallow, then whatever. That's just like your opinion man.

This is kind of irrelevant to what I said. It can be useful, but in this case it's unnecessary and actually takes away from what he said. Also it's kind of funny that out of everything I said, you guys are only discussing whether or not it's okay that he called women immature and irrational.

I meant I don't agree with them being used, as it seemed to detract from the point in my opinion. Though, I'm the kind of person who judges people on their actions, and hold only them accountable for them. Stereotypes are kind of lazy.

While I don't agree with some of the stereotypes you have of women here, I can understand why you would think that way given your situation. Do what you need to do to protect yourself. As Nicky_Rodeo said, keep some sort of recording device handy. Check out your state's laws on recording though, as some will not accept it as evidence unless it's consensual. Every time she starts beating you, especially if she leaves marks, call the cops again. Make sure they write down all signs of abuse, and ma…

Can't you sue her or the state in situations like this? I mean her false accusations wrecked your life. There must be something you can do. See if you can talk to a lawyer about this for free, and see what they say about it.
