Thank you for having the courage to ask that question 🌼 I'm so sorry for what happened to you and I get your want to understand the psychology of your perpetrator (I hope that person gets punished and suffers for his crime). I can't understand why he did what he did and I would never do anything like that. Sex should always be about care and tenderness and never violent and selfish.

Cheating have to involve lies, so no it's not.

Sure, for some (or most maybe) but being open for long term, it's not just wanting casual sex. If being open to ENM (and the like) is a red flag for someone, she is not the right person for me, so no problem. Still zero likes it too low, the apps are the problem.

I'm open with being open to any kind of relationship on the apps but I get close to zero likes. I blame no one but the apps themselves. I will regard them as scams until proven otherwise. Please don't tell me to work more on my profiles; just don't.

I agree, there is a small community of more healthy sluts 🥰 I wish the mainstream culture would learn from it; that was really the intention of sexual revolution ✊

I don't know... What is validation really good for when you have community? I want to be a part of a close circle of friends and family, pay homage to the bodhisattvas, study the arts, and be grateful for this lifetime - I don't see much meaning in validation.

Yes, those apps provide no useful feature. R4R on Reddit works better and that is not even a specific function of the app but just a way it can be used. All the dating apps are scams.

I don't believe in needs (at this level of analysis)—our wants and desires shape our lifeworld. In my experience, when sex is possible, my neuroses are alleviated and my whole world comes alive.

Thanks, good explanation!

You might be right that most women don't think like that but most women I probably will encounter and all women I'm interested in do. Despite that, I don't know if I would necessarily tell someone I had the chance to sleep with that I'm a virgin. I prefer to build up that level of trust first but if I can't: why should I really? I mean, lacking experience doesn't define me. Anyway, I will probably loose it to some lovely person from Reddit that I told my full life story to😇

First answer: distance. Second: I'm still a bit to shy/repressed to be as flirty irl as online, but I'm getting there.

Understandable question: I have not been progressing for very long; it's all been increasing in pace for the last two months; very much happened just the last week, and as I mainly use Reddit to get to know women, distance is the most obvious obstacle.

I think most women think like you. I (39 still a virgin, but progressing rapidly) have had no problem with women being dismissive of me because of my lack of experience. I just tell them my story with trauma and mental health issues and it makes sense to them. The evil incel freaks are quite easy to spot so it's by the same token easy to spot that someone isn't one.

I couldn't care less whether someone is a virgin or not.

Thank you for answering me - I've seen this comment being upvoted and it being downvoted again, which made me curious, I mean, I'm just talking about my own experience. And I agree with you that what I experience is not a local phenomenon. It seems to me that the red/black pill world is really only an online thing and that the vast majority think quite differently. It's quite funny that my own experience of being an "incel" on Reddit has made look at people and human relationships in a much brig…

In bluer communities men are not treated like that.

Well yes, but I mean on the Creatives (on Explore mode), I swipe right on 70%, on the normal feed on almost no one. If you know who is kind of your type, why not swipe right on everyone like that? The fewer matches you get, the less you have to lose on swiping right. I've started to use Reddit instead of Tinder and since I've been busy, when I was only on the dating apps time/attention management was not a problem. I would have been happy to go on a date with just anybody just to have the experi…

I heard that before - does the companies admit that the algorithms work that way? Most of what they put into the systems is secret, right? I don't get your point about low effort, I mean: who sees it?

Why is swiping on everyone regardless bad? Is it something with the tech, if you get what I mean?

If it can grow over time, then it's clearly not always an impulse. I'm not saying you can negotiate it. It's more like the love of art - it can grow and change depending on how you engage with it.

Can't see how that kind of scenario would be relevant for what we are discussing here.

What is it then? Completely static?

Well, it's the wrong framework - it makes no sense to shame someone into desiring something different from what they do but it makes sense to suggest that they go deeper existentially. Someone who watches the same stupid comedy show every day should not be condemned, but they might want to broaden their cultural horizons. If someone only dates people because of money or looks, they might want to ask themselves why they relate to people the way they do and if they might want to change that.

You are right and fundamentally wrong at the same time. It's an existential rather than moral issue. You are not to be judged morally for living a shallow life but existentially, it's a tragedy.

Eh, as an "incel"/39yo virgin, I would say what would have helped me would have been a sex positive culture with less stigma and that those dating apps weren't the go to option for everyone. I don't know what is going on behind the scenes but the apps don't work at all and Reddit works very well (the anonymity is for sure a part of it though, it let's you be bolder).

Better anyway but I mean, why wouldn't it be any sex? If she is religious, I might be getting some in the future (she seems like a keeper given the description). If she is disabled, there are always many ways possible. If it's LDR there is sexting and so on.
