There’s no criteria to declare them an incel rather than their say-so (in a topic that has received constant media attention), but we’re supposed to be surprised that they have the traits of a general population sample?

sample (n = 151) of self-identified male incels This is the kind of studies that lead to an impact factor barely higher than 1 for the journal, and to the crisis of replication in psychology.

That it’s projection. An incel wants to be seen as hyper masculine while contributing fuck all to their relationships (sexual, romantic or any kind).

I’m a guy. I had brief exposure to the red pill BS when I was in college back in the late oughties. I even bought a book (not The Game, but one from another dude in Spain) and I found that it did not make sense to me but I remember the colleague that introduced me to the stuff was more than a bit fanatical. I was depressed for a long time, to the point that I needed therapy to face it. I am absolutely grateful that I had the chance to attend it. I could have easily fallen to the Red Pill, or to …

The women of your life don’t talk like that to you. There are social consequences to women expressing their rage, so they reserve it to the places where they won’t be punished for that. This is slowly changing, and we need to live with the fact that women are entitled to feeling and expressing said rage as much as men are.

Since Japanese is your second language, you need to focus on saying exactly what you want to say. This leaves less space for doubts, interpretations and fears and forces you to communicate to the full of your possibilities.

Hurting other people for your own benefit is okay as long as you don't do it too much is commendable? You know, this is going like freaking clockwork. You wrongly accuse me of doing something and then you certainly do it yourself. I've said that, if doctors were the assholes you're stating, they'd profit fully from their advantage. They don't, so either they're not the assholes you're stating, or something else is at play. There's little competition in the medical field. That's what licensing en…

Yes. And I'm adding that, if doctors were the assholes you say they are, they'd indeed do much worse. Therefore there has to be something, beyond the standard economic behavior (which is somehow useless verbiage for you when it's you who brought it up in the first place), that explains why they're not taking more advantage of their position of power.

Either I put words in your mouth, or you don't know what the words you use mean. Yes, I tend to look things from an economic perspective because it is objective. In short, you're treating doctors as entirely rational, welfare maximizing agents. Unless you're adding more conditions which you have not specified so far, that's how "objective" economic analysis is done. You conclude that doctors extol incredibly high wages because they have a stranglehold in supply because one needs to have a licens…

They could want more. And since they have lives in their hands (surgeons, anesthesiologists, etc.) they could use them as bargaining chips in order to obtain more privileges. The fact is that they don't do that. If they're amoral homo oeconomicus examples as you claim, why don't they?

I take it you're the kind of guy who doesn't understand the real ethical issues in medicine. If anything, doctors are conditioned by their training and their vocation to not leverage their real strengths. Imagine a real doctor strike, where they disable the machinery they operate and barricade themselves inside hospitals and health centers. They hold the entire population in those centers hostage, and they can't be removed because they're the only ones who know how to treat the ill. What couldn'…

With wording like yours ("modernized cock") you look a lot like a troll, but let's try it: You love the fact that you're cut. That means that, if you had had the choice, you'd have got cut when you were of age. Maybe you did have the choice and you got cut. That's great. It means that your bodily autonomy is respected. I decided to get cut because of a medical condition that made maintenance hard. However, I had the choice and I made it when I was of age. My bodily autonomy was respected. When a…

He still didn't learn from his mistakes and led his closest people primarily through fear. No, he wasn't a great leader. Göbbels was a great propaganda strategist to generate the illusion of a big leader around him, which is still believed 70 years later.

He was a poor leader who didn't have any flexibility in his plans (the absurd Battle for Stalingrad is the poster boy), who didn't listen to his military advisors (alienating the talented ones and leaving the kissasses) and whose response to defeat was "hold everything" (Festung Europa) and "Blow up Germany" (Nero-Befehl) instead of a sane defense plan. Hitler was a charismatic political leader, not a genius of any kind.

That's why it's actually being reclaimed. The egregious, cartoony fool which RP associates with a bluepiller is harmless, and can get better. The redpillettes become a harmful cult whose continuous venom pumping ends up creating and nurturing fellows like Elliot Rodgers.

The utmost irony comes when the alleged "idiots" are the ones outside the cult. There's a tradition for movements to adopt words that were considered derogatory (the so called "reclaiming") which is being embraced here.

The only thing the universe cares about us is our self-replicating molecules. That's our contribution to existence. Mating is our method of doing it. You're telling me that by mating, we augment the mass of molecules in the universe? Why, that's interesting.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/15 07:49 PM
2

Well, you said that "the universe" intends for women to be fertile. As it happens, many women become infertile before menopause, with many of then voluntarily undergoing tube-tying or other procedures. What's that "universe"you talk about? I mentioned the threesome thing because if you do that as carelessly as you said is done, major harm can come for everyone involved. You keep associating sloppiness and multiple partners in an instinctive way.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/15 05:40 PM
5

My argument was that a sterile woman has the same value as a fertile one, and that sex with multiple partners doesn't equal careless sex. You made up some shit about how the universe cares about fertile women which got shot down in flames, and now you're backtracking on the second thing. Given your beliefs, I wouldn't wish that you ever got in a threesome or an orgy.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/15 05:19 PM
5

The "specific kind of sex" you mention is "sex with multiple partners". Your phrasing rules out the possibility that sex with multiple partners can be careful, since you imply it brings the diseases and the loss of fertility (which was universe-shattering before and comes unmentioned now) as a consequence. Your words have meanings. Get familiar with them before you carelessly toss them around like an unprotected sexual partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/15 05:02 PM
4

The universe doesn't care either way. If it did, it would impede us to argue about it. Your way of phrasing that left little doubt of what you meant.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/15 04:31 PM
6

Why are you mentioning the fertility thing? Is it the only goal of a female body to produce offspring? Also, why are you assuming that sex with multiple partners is careless?

I can understand that it's frustrating. Heck, I get frustrated at times. However, when a child is frustrated we teach them not to kick other people to vent their frustration. Not using other people as emotional punching sacks is the very same notion.

I'm a single guy who has been rejected at least a couple dozens of times. My sexual history is scarce, to be blunt. That doesn't mean I have a right to insult our threaten the girls who, freely and of their own will, have said no to me. It's part of life.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/15 09:44 PM
2

It can only happen "thousands" of times if all you're doing is mass mailing a copypasta. It can happen dozens of times. And regardless of how many times it happens, venom is unwarranted.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/15 09:22 PM
2

Well, it's a good question indeed. The fact that fertility is below 2 in western countries would tell us, among other things, that when not having a couple isn't socially punished lots of people won't bother to get one. Maybe there were other mechanisms in play that didn't have to do with socialising?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/15 12:32 PM

If your "breaking point" at which you launch insults, threats or intimidation towards other people is to be told "no" by women, then you're acting spoiled. There's no doubt that being rejected is unpleasant, but a comparison with jail is flippant.

I have the feeling that the other two factors have more influence. This teenager's friends are as clueless as him or her, and I would argue that the main sources of lasting influence are the ones that stay after school. After you finish high school you mostly won't see the people who were with you as a teenager, while your family and your social environment do stay.

Fertility levels in Western societies would climb to high levels again if we made all birth control forms disappear. But we don't. Socialization needs to take into account what the society you're preparing those children for. "Nice guys" seem to be in some medieval court love fantasy and RP folks explicitly mention behaviors of animals as their source of inspiration. They're both maladaptive patterns of behaviour in a western modern society. "In order to get the girl, you must be nice" vs "Guys …

Reproduction is not as big a drive as you think. In Western societies fertility is low, and there are growing portions of society which are rejecting marriage and children altogether. The tainted conceptions are, for example, that being paired with a couple is a given. In a society with a big amount of singles by choice it's ridiculous to have young men and women believe that mere waiting will land them someone, and indirectly that they must be with someone. Most rite of passage stories seem to bring the point home that once the rite is passed, the love interest will be fulfilled as a consequence. This fills "nice guys" with the impression that they're cheated out of somethin…

Just like Buzzfeed listicles aren't news, bullet points don't make arguments. Good people don't treat other people on the basis of what they can get back from them, but on the merriment of their company. "Nice guys" with their heads up their derrieres don't derive merriment from anyone's company, and especially not their own.

Indulge yourself. /r/niceguys come in many flavors. Right now I'm seeing a post about a fellow who "wants someone to depend on him" and leaves unsolicited roses on women's cars. Empathy implies being able to put yourself in the other person's shoes. I can do that, and understand why their behaviour exists. However, it is rooted in damaging and tainted conceptions of people. Someone who treats women like people. The healthy part of seddit will tell you, for example, that it's easier to have fulfilling relationships with women when you have at least some female friends, because then you'll know how to interact with a woman better than when you're thinking in terms of Greek letters and misused biology and psychology terms. As you see, that man is still not ideal. That is a good thing. Men are as unfit to be put in "ideal" terms as women are.

While you can feel some pity for the teenager who knows no better than the strange social cues given by family and mass media, Niceguyism is the radical belief that women are vending machines which dispense sex in exchange for kindness. That's not morally acceptable in many levels.

Using Tinder is not equal to desperation for human contact, and these are grown up men who know what they're doing. Vaccinations are provided in order to give herd immunity, which had little to do with consent. Circumcision is mostly optional and religiously driven. Cases like mine, where the foreskin grew excessively and made it almost impossible to reach the gland, are rare, and they mostly can wait until one is able to give consent. Chopping foreskins in an industrial fashion like some doctors do is ridiculous.

What did I not understand? You say that the birthrate falls because men are not the boss of the family anymore and they're exploited by women. However the birth rate also plummets in societies where women are systematically pushed away from the executive layers of companies and the culture still reveres women's subservience, such as Japan and Korea. Boredom is a way to process thoughts. Your mind strays, which allows you to process memories and thoughts that don't require full focus. It also allows routines to be cemented. If you do not allow for boredom to happen, you'll attempt to be in full focus and alert the whole time. That's a great way to burn out quickly, as companies experience frequently with the workers they overexert.

You completely confound compassion and empathy with pity. My family reminded me that they loved me, that I was a human being with virtues, vices, responsibilities and things to be proud of when I deemed myself less than that, when I couldn't see myself beyond the pain I know that not everybody thinks like me. However, I'm bringing my experience here (probably in vain) so that you can see that one can be suicidally unhappy and not end up offing themselves.

For the ultimate act of suicide, you are the only one who does it. I am no better than anyone. No, they at least choose to face their hardships, even if that costs them depressions, self-harm or other addictions and lots of grief. Committing suicide is a very selfish thing to do, and certainly a way to inflict even more damage to the children.

You won't find any argument against creating art from me. As a translator and (rather occasional) writer, I do think that creating art is a great thing to do, and that everyone has artistic talent that needs a particular outlet to flow. Still, your argument is still pretty reductionist. Musicians do not just create music from hearing other musicians: they also need other forms of art involved in order to get their creative juices flowing. This is even more true the more we approach to modern tim…

I'm anxious to hear how lifting 200 lbs is by itself more beneficial than lifting 100. That's indeed a tangible benefit, and one which is irrelevant in the real life of a majority of western males. Everyone needs downtime. The point of downtime is that it is time spent doing what you want, whether it is efficient in its use of calories or not. This faux-utilitarian ideology always discards the pursuit of artistic interests: it's very uneasy about art consumption (such as playing videogames, read…

Good single player games have thrilling plots and make an intelligent use of tropes to convey messages. According to this faux-utilitarian ideology every sort of activity which doesn't bring a measurable increase in some area (like lifting weights) is a distraction and not worth your time... Which, if you ask me, is a mindset very similar to the one of grindy gaming, where you just play to ra…

OP doesn't know how to balance his aggression. You do, since you can play videogames and still have good rapport with people. Get your game and have fun with it, which is what it was made for, and don't listen to OP's emasculating speech.

So is it too foreign a notion that you play these (or other) games without regard to your stats, without months spend in grinding and leveling, without status seeking? In short, do you not know how to play a game for fun? The X factor you talk about seems to be pent up aggression. That you don't know how to channel it and that you don't know how to derive enjoyment from things that are created for exactly that is no one else's fault.
