Oh man. I bet this guy would sabotage either her final semester or her graduation day and then make life hell for her if she pursues that career. This guy is too insecure and it's going to escalate to physical violence.

No that's not how that works because now you are pretending if you have to change the way you talk to him unless you're coming at him like a Banshee and arms flailing & are nagging at him about every little thing or calling him names or putting him down. I do not know your fighting style. Secondly did you tell him how you want to be lead? Because you two may be on two different fields on the one. Men are also not mind readers. But what is more concerning here is that you said you cannot trust hi…

You've only been dating 3 months and he is acting like this. Imagine what it will be like in 3 years. Submission is wife level material. This dude has gotten himself caught up in the Tateverse. Run and do not look back. You will have your life ruined. I was married to the same type you are describing here. In the end he and his supposed ex girlfriend tried to cancel me the day before the divorce/anullement was to be granted. And 26? To have that outlook on women when a man's brain is not done gr…

And me being more "feminine" because of my figure by wearing sun dresses has ony back fired on me in countless ways. I hated sun dresses to begin with, then I tried them to make someone else happy but they are so not me & when other men were looking, when that backfired, it sealed the deal & I threw them out and sewed myself some very plain black dresses.

I used to dress up for my boyfriends back in the day. Now that I can no longer dye my hair or get tattoos and having to take my piercings out because someone didn't like them or me coloring my hair and my goth wardrobe was a no go & im not comfortable in colors & my dresses were switched out for floral bright sundresses, I don't even bother to try and look nice. Got accused one too many times to of wearing make up to try and impress other men. I rarely leave my house anymore.

I am in almost this exact situation. And when I started to work on myself and do my own hobbies, it backfires horribly because he perceived me giving him space as "no longer being close & clingy" which a girlfriend should be is what he says. But what stinks even more is when they do the activity you suggest and go do it with a female friend instead. I've been asking since December if we can finally get around to making the food from Dracula and have a date night. Nope. Instead him and his best f…

Thank you for the book suggestion. It's overwhelming because I am also dealing with mandated Domestic Abuse Survivors therapy and group. And my psychiatrist is male, Catholic, and Conservative so this was not done on a whim and I am not looking forward to this at all.

Thank you! I wish some men understood this. Because I just can't take no more. I have so many "gifted" Dresses that my closet looks like drapes from the late 80s/ early 90s and it sets off the Senosory issues and instant migraines from the brightness.

How does that not put you in a state of panic when you have to check yourself? My children's father would look for things to accuse me of being disrespectful. It could have been anything from missing the laundry basket to how i was a waste because I am immune compromised to how I was the heaviest girl he had ever been with. I am under 5ft BTW and 120lbs soaking wet. So now in my new relationship if he is grumpy I go over every little thing right down to washing my hands because maybe he thinks t…

TBH, and this putting my dirty laundry out there but my grandfather said the same thing about his daughters & granddaughters & uh yeah, idk how to word this because it's not just my story but he was a convicted offender against little girls.

It's also unstable men. Like I used to tell my children's father, how can you possibly expect me to be calm when you are constantly bringing me chaos? I was granted an annulment by the Church & the state that is why i do not say my ex husband. But female "friends" at the door all the time, he refused to work, had addiction issues, amoungst anger issues. And he is not the first guy that I had encountered like that. Especially in support groups for adopted and foster children.

Here's a loop for you. My bio father is an addict and alcoholic. I was once traded to a family as an infant for bad stuff. My adoptive father was gone from 6 am to 8pm Mon-Fri. My foster fathers were all very very liberal. My bio mom's side is as well. My foster mothers did not care that I ran the streets at night but I would get in trouble for volunteering at the GoP office every election year because I was standing for a party that "hated women". Yet straight conservative voting record. The la…

How do you reprogram those traits when you have only pretty much known instability and are on needed CPTSD medication & have been stuck in survival mode for years and then got a taste of stability and peace only to be thrown back into survival mode? And I know this won't be the last time I have been triggered into survival mode so I need to get ahold on the mental illness and become more feminine. I mean I am feminine but more feminine like Polly Grey from Peaky Blinders meets Joan of Arc. 😅

Thank you for your reply. He actually cut her off earlier today. 😶 More then likely as I was writing this question. I think he realized after thinking it over that I would more then likely walk if she remained.

Discernment is needed on your end. Idk why you guys ended, I don't know why you had no contact, or any of the dynamics about your relationship with him. Only you can decide what to do.

I agree with this. His choice of his "me" time is being misused. Would he be willing to take up a different activity than the social media?

I would advise seeking counseling of some sort. I would also have a serious discussion as well about Social Media in your household. I am now divorced. My ex-husband had a chronic problem with misusing the internet. I was also a stay at home mom, he worked but eventually would quit his jobs. Things were also physically violent and I kid you not I spent most of my 20s literally barefoot in the kitchen with a black eye, broken bones, and I was not allowed to be off the opiates my Dr at the time pr…

What would be considered "overly close"? My situation is that there is a female that at least 3 ex's have warned me about, this same woman had a thing for sleeping with my previous boyfriends, she has stalked me online before for several years before him & I got together, six months ago she called my children's school and CPS on me repeatedly, when we were in our 20s she had physically went after my goddaughter who was a toddler because her mother was dating a guy she was interested in, in HS th…
