Bisexual woman here: Lesbian dating has its ups and downs, just like heterosexual dating. There are expectations related to behaviours and looks (ie butch women should be manlier, femmes should be girlier), which if you subvert aren't super easy. Aside from that, there are just way, way too many dudes waving their dicks around the lesbian dating scene, making a lot of meetups/OLD not very valuable. I wish there were more places to meet lesbian/bi women and socialize. I think lesbians care less o…

As someone who subscribes to the “Jill the Ripper” theory and is definitely focusing on the wrong thing, your initial quote of there being no female Mozart or Jack the Ripper seems silly. As to why, roughly, I think Jack the Ripper was female, a midwife would have had the necessary human anatomy knowledge and would have been trusted by local prostitutes. Removing the uterus or womb just doesn’t strike me as the sort of sexual mutilation men typically do - I’d much more expect them to cut off bre…

I think this might be more of a pop music thing than a female vs male artist thing. I also think romance is just a popular topic in general for music. Nightwish, Icon for Hire, Flyleaf, Blood Stain Child, and The Birthday Massacre all come to mind as groups that have many non romance themed songs. If you want to go in the direction of pop, I'm pretty sure Tik Tok by Kesha had nothing to do with relationships, either.

So, you're punishing people who are infertile because they had the shitty luck to have improperly functioning sexual organs? Why arent they allowed to adopt in your universe, especially to orphans who, perhaps, had a father die in a workplace accident and a mother die in childbirth? More than that, does this extend to mentally disabled individuals who cannot care for themselves/give consent? Also, what would the situation be if a woman became pregnant in marriage, gave birth to a stillborn baby,…

I read a bucket ton of romance novels and am published in that field. It's a very female centric industry. I don't think women enjoy the anonymity that porn gives. There is some effort made to make the characters in romance novels real and this factors in why women tend to make more fanfiction than men. So, I think women like some degree of the familiar as opposed to warm hole number seven. Written porn doesn't have some of the misc bullshit that filmed porn does. You won't see written lesbian p…

Women may be bi curious, but it's beyond a stereotype that you'll find "bi women" who will never sexually interact with another vagina. They're likely willing to kiss/grope another woman, but that's as far as it tends to reach. Your initial theory is fairly bogus. I disclose to my partners that I'm bi on the first date or pre first date. Don't immediately ask for a threesome. If your partner in a relationship discloses bisexuality, don't feel pressured to allow them to sexually interact with the…

Actual bisexual female here. I dont think it was social/cultural, at least in my case, because I remember at a very young age being attracted to female and male celebrities and slaving over the concept of having to pick one and stick with it. I think you're less likely to publicly see bi men because there's a much larger stigma for them than there is for bisexual women, so it'd likely harm their chances. More than that, if being a bisexual man is anything like being a bisexual woman, people from…

I am very feminist and have two older brothers. I am very close to one of my older brothers who is very feminist critical, too. My biological mother displays a lot of AWALT/negative feminine traits, while my father displays a lot of negative masculine traits. It doesn't surprise me that either of us ending up believing what we do.

I prefer to approach first. It allows me to get men/women above my league and I like the feeling of control. I also have some inner demons, so if people seem too into me I tend to flip out and run for the hills. I enjoy the chase.

You can break up with someone for any reason, whether it's because "my partner beats me", "I think I can do better", "we are incompatible", or "I think they turn into a werewolf and can't tell with that". Feel free to encourage your buddies to date different people if you want.

When two people enter a sexual relationship, it is up to them to set boundaries and requirements and find either compromise or separate. If Alice doesn't want to do anal, but Bob does, and the two wish to be engaged in a monogamous sexual relationship, Alice may decide she can tolerate it once per month. Bob may decide he can live without anal and would rather be with Alice. They may decide collectively that this is an issue neither can compromise on and dissolve the monogamous relationship or e…

Why is PIV or anal the benchmark? The first time I had sex it was with my girlfriend at the time, so no penis for obvious reasons. I'd still count it as when I lost my virginity.

I think male sexuality is viewed as corrupting, and the reason I say this is because if I say I've slept with twenty women and one man, men care about it a lot more than if I've slept with twenty men and one woman. If it were just about promiscuity, I think they'd care about both.

Why did this need to be stated? The customer is always right about what the customer wants. If a man or woman can't attract the mate they want to with what they have to offer, they cant afford it with their current value.

I've dated bodybuilders before. They're honestly usually really nice people. There's a lot of women who aren't attracted to bodybuilders too. My female friends usually don't think the bodybuilders I date are all that attractive. There tends to be less agreement amongst women about what is attractive. I think the big muscles is just a trend. When heroin chic was in for women, there was a spike in the rates of anorexia and bulimia. Right now fitness is in, so we are seeing a lot more pressure in t…

Not really? He's describing what he's doing, not the noises or reactions she isn't having. When did I say all men were monsters? I think if you're going to do something high risk you should ask permission. I don't stick my fist into men's asses without asking for permission and I don't think it's smart to choke women without asking for permission.

He doesn't seem the observant sort. He couldn't tell if she'd had an orgasm and had shows of force that could've proven to her that she couldn't pull the hand away. It's also possible the "safe choking" was interspersed with unsafe choking, so oxygen was a precious commodity to her.

This one has so many factors it's impossible to get it down to just one. While short hair is assumed to be the lower maintenance option, this isn't really true for all women. My hair grows very quickly and is wavy, fine, and dense. When I have my hair shorter, I lose the option to throw it into a ponytail so I have to style it every day. I also need to get it re cut every 4 weeks or the style loses its shape and looks like garbage. There are more women than you're accounting for who these issues…

Last year I dated a guy who wore makeup. I liked it. Not at my school, because it was a small private school and the guys weren't allowed eyeliner, but at adjacent schools? Totally. Even dated one of them before the style went out.

I used to live in a super ritzy, upper class retirement area. I had no qualms walking 30 minutes home drunk in a swimsuit. However, I also knew a lot of the people I lived around - I worked at a local store and had grown up there. I was also comfortable walking through a sketchier area downtown by myself when I lived around there and knew most of the people around. I'm less comfortable walking alone in my current place because I don't know the neighbours/general night walkers. I live in a fairly…

Well, I'm bisexual myself, so given the choice I would choose a bi man over a straight one if everything else is equal - I'd also choose a bisexual woman above a lesbian. I have dated bisexual guys before and I definitely prefer it to monosexual people.

I don't think this is entirely it. The nice guy is the one who is deceptive with his motivation. He is someone who, in his original form, got close to women and was their friend. Women tend to be more emotionally open with their friends than men are, so this becomes a guy the woman has confided in. When the guy turns around and throws a hissy fit, it's not as harmless as you're portraying it. Most men I know are bigger than me and could overpower me if they so choose, and that's assuming it's an…

Judging from the writing style, I highly doubt that story actually took place. That being said, I also think doing things like that at a convention is a super high risk activity. There are tons of underage girls wearing skimpy cosplay - I was mainly 15-17 when I was in the convention scene and i wasn't the youngest one in the group I hung out with. I think it's a matter of assessing venue more than anything else and analyzing your own social skills in relation to it. At a hotel party for a conve…

In short, gender roles are dumb and people should do what they exceed in/enjoy regardless of what traditional pressures are on. In regards to sexual attraction, I think that physical sex is important in determining who people are attracted to. Hence, homosexuals are attracted to same sex, bi is attracted to both, and hetereo to the opposite. I disagree with morals being applied to it at all. It doesn't seem productive.

For third wave feminism - I don't agree with the way certain issues are approached. I'm a gender abolitionist, so I'm opposed to the way transgender issues are intertwined into feminism. i also don't think it pays enough attention to how economic fluctuations effect how people act. Sometimes, it also just broaches topics I don't care about. I'd rather see more attention paid to getting adequate understanding of women's medical issues than whether or not women can wear hijab. Yes, as far as my dad was concerned. I wasn't allowed to go away for university while my brothers were, despite having the highest marks of us. Do men understand the damage they do to women by calling them crazy or a liar? The truth is, in those situations we can never be sure about what actually happened. To the woman, the guy may have been staring at her for several minutes with a creepy look and continuing to engage after she was giving him a cold shoulder. And maybe she's right, but maybe she is being paranoid and the guy simply looked at her a few times and tried to approach. Maybe she wasn't giving clear signals. We can't know unl…

This one can have so many sources it's honestly impossible to find a singular one to ascribe it to... For some women, it can come down to figuring out what you like and what you don't like. A woman can try anal, decide she isn't into it, and then not want to do it thereafter. Maybe when she was younger she felt more pressure, but as she aged developed a much more DGAF attitude towards social pressures and decided to go for what she wanted. It can also be that the sex, for whatever reason, is dis…

Huh? I thought at PPD we were all sort of in agreement that men's prisons had a rape culture attached to them, which would be a western issue. From what I've read, slimmer and more feminine appearing men are often forced into "wife" roles for more aggressive men and frequently sexually assaulted with no recourse put on the perpetrator because it's seen as just something that will happen cause they're criminals. I'm disinterested in being a parent, but if I were to decide to pursue marriage and babies with a man it would be with the understanding that he would be the primary parent. Perhaps women seek out people above them in SMV as women perceive SMV, while men pursue higher SMV as men perceive the SMV. Men often pursue women who are in their prime reproductive years while they are outside of it, which would grant the woman an increase to her SMV, while this is not something women traditionally do, which indicates it's not a trait women are putting value into. Similarly, women may give a SMV boon to a man who is taller than them while men aren't doing the same for women. G…

Overall, I don't agree with it. If men truly and inescapably don't mature until later, why don't they have a higher age of majority? This isn't the route I think is appropriate for men. They are just as capable of maturity as women. I think this one comes down to expectations given to people.

To me, confidence implies ownership over who you are and what you do. The person who admits to being not at all book smart gets way more credit than the ones who bluff ineffectively about it. Confidence is about being okay and knowing who you are and, most importantly, being in charge and proactive in what you can change and learning to work with what you can't. Its a touch nebulous, but I know it's tough to get a proper definition of what people see as confidence. This is mine. I don't think I'…

There was one case I heard about locally that I would definitely bracket under "raps by deception". The woman's alleged she was on birth control when she and the man had sex. She then admitted she had been purposefully off birth control, which resulted in her pregnancy. In this case the woman admitted it publicly, too. I think, more often than not, this sort of thing is impossible to prove, though the spiteful part of me wants to slap this charge on people who knowingly transfer an STD because t…

I think you're underestiminating the sheer amount of bullshit women hear growing up regarding how chaste they should be. I was a teenager when I heard about "no hymen no diamond" as a movement, I've heard all the bullshit about how it'll make your labia "roast beef flaps". I've heard that no man will want you the moment you spread your legs and I grew up in a liberal place. This is common enough and loud enough that it's white noise to me.

It's high risk low reward. That being said, I have had pity sex with a guy before and it was lacklustre for both of us. Sex without attraction and enthusiasm really just isn't as fun. I'd probably still do it for friends provided I didn't find them repulsive, but with the random guy on the street it's too high risk. Not always. Sometimes they get into a relationship, it turns abusive, and they are stuck. They could be stuck due to having kids in the situation or pets who they feel protective over. Sometimes, lack of finances makes escape very difficult, as living on the street isn't safe for anyone. Disney princes, romantic comedies, teen shows... this stuff is everywhere. Women can find men learning it distasteful all they like, but at the end of the day I have no idea if a man sat down in front of his television and watched rom coms all night trying to figure out what women like unless he tells me. So why not analyze both things to come up with a better strategy? Why does all of this need to be spelled out for everyone's convenience? We have a space currently for women talking about things they don't like - great, men can look at that and learn things to avoid - as well as numerous examples of women displaying attraction for fictional and real men, so guys can look at that and attempt to emulate it. I'm not really understanding that this information is hidden, is all.

I think there's a lot of information on what women find attractive already, some men just aren't willing to extract information from it. Why do boys and men think boy bands are popular? Do they really think it's just because the music is catchy? It's the same thing as romance novels. Hell, let's look at Twilight. Girls and women were fawning over Edward and Jacob and I don't think it's entirely because of their personalities. What sort of expression of women's attraction are you looking for to h…

I think it can have a positive effect, but you need a base level of attractiveness to really see the effect. Look at a guy like Evan Antin - the hot veterinarian. I'd argue the fact that he cares for cute animals gives him at least 1-2 points in the scale out of 10, but he did also look great to begin with. Currently, I think a lot of abortion is at least partially, if not mostly, motivated by not wanting the myriad of issues that can arise from being pregnant for 9 months and giving birth. If it was easy, I think more women would opt for adoption which is opting out of parenthood instead of an abortion, which is more opting out of pregnancy. When you're not used to it, sure, but honestly, most people have a pretty good grasp of how to handle their slew of hormones by the time they reach adulthood. If I don't take my hormones at all, I go through a period where I'm a bit of a robot while they crash, then I'm honestly pretty much back to my default self. I can't figure out what people want. If I notice a guy trying to get closer to me and I tell him "not interested" or "sorry, not looking to date" I'm called a bitch who gets yelled at because "he wasn't trying to hit on me". If I try to nicely turn him down, I'm called a bitch who led him on or told "I didn't mean it" and I have an extra fifty hours of work ahead getting him to leave me alone. If I don't turn him down at all overtly and try passively to do it, I'm apparently TimeHoeTM. There's n…

A theory I have heard regarding why women are more likely to divorce involves emotional labour. If you look at the happiness cited from widowed women versus widowed men, the women tend to fare much better. The theory I saw some articles site (I'll grab the links later if requested), was that women tend to do more emotional labour - particularly regarding maintaining social circles for both parties. That makes the mans social life tied into her efforts more, while hers remains the same. As such, …

The NiceGuy(TM) is indistinguishable from the alternative from the woman's perspective. The situation from the woman's perspective is this: You were friends with a guy. He asked you out and you declined. He vented inappropriately. There are certain actions you can take to make people perceive you as being not nice and inappropriate venting is one of those. As such, the woman in this scenario is going to perceive him as not being nice, which makes him seem deceptive. The deception leads to questi…

I don't like people yelling at me - this is what it boils down to. Someone yelling at me for not dating them is something that will make me unhappy, as I'm sure is the case with most people. A good comparison is if a woman calls a guy a creep and says/yells that all men are creeps for approaching her and makes a scene. The guy is probably not going to be happy with that arrangement, even if she's just frustrated at being approached in public while she's busy. Neither is right. Vent in a place it…

Because it's directed at me. Of course I'm going to perceive it as not right if someone starts yelling at me over how woman have lied to him. He's not channeling is disappointment and frustration into an appropriate venue. Instead, he's taking it out on me. I disagree. People are allowed to be disappointed all they like, but when they yell at the girl over it and start doing a woe is me speech, they tend to slip into the NiceGuy(TM) category. The frustrated explosion, when it happens, is part of the complaint. Know your audience before you vent about it - I won't know what a guy says to his dad in private unless he tells me.

I don't think men should be obligated to throw a punch at someone for a woman. However, I think a more reasonable expectation is, if you see a predatory person harassing someone, to go find security, particularly in a bar, or alert the bartender/staff. Alternatively, if she came with a group, possibly notifying one of them. If I saw two men gearing up for a fight that's what I'd do, depending on the stage of fight and participants, so this seems like a reasonable counterpart. You're still under …

Creating a way for men to carry a fetus? 100%. I think it would be a great idea and help create more reproductive rights for both sides.

But I still exist, and we have to take into account that people like me will exist. How do you feel about the proposal to make synthetic wombs they can implant in men should the situation of man wants baby, woman does not, arises?

I'll fully admit to being biased on this one, as carrying a pregnancy to term would basically 100% kill me. My body physically cannot handle it and, in the very low chance that it didn't outright kill me, the mental issues caused from being forced to carry a parasite to term I have no say in likely would cause suicide. I'm also not the only woman who has this sort of concern. I think a better solution would be to create a way for men to carry fetuses to term in their own bodies--perhaps a synthe…

The world would be best with a nice mix of both in positions of power. Some issues men are not going to be aware of because it's simply not on their radar (menstral products being subjected to a luxury tax), while some issues women are not going to be aware of because it's not on their radar (I don't know any of the top of my head, but I am certain they exist). There are crazies everywhere and hypocrites everywhere. Women and radfems are no exception. I honestly think most of it comes down to the attitude the people in question have towards their situation. So, if I meet a man who walks around with a massive chip on his shoulder due to lack of experience, that's going to be off putting. Some women and radfems are going to generalize due to vocal minorities, think of things like how incels speak about women and some more of the radical MRAs. Does this m…

I'll look it up, thanks! I don't think they call out their bullshit, or we disagree over what bullshit is constituted as. I've seen posts fetishizing children that don't seem to get any public flack. Posts speaking about rape also come to mind. Calling women "FHO" and femoids isn't doing anyone any good. Language has power, and using dehumanizizing language allows people to create an us vs them mentality because they don't view the other side as people. More than that, if advice works for most o…

Thank you for engaging in a polite and open way - I really appreciate it! How long would you say this stage typically goes on for most incels, if you have an idea? Also, how old are typical posters? I'm not entirely convinced it would be more damaging if they didn't have a place to talk. My reason for this is I believe it can encourage a bit of an echo chamber mentality, particularly given some of the harsher criticisms incels have of women, which I think some people may use as a reason to deny …

We all have fantasies, but honestly, some of them are not meant to see the light of day for whatever practical reason. Maybe you fantasize about pushing your boss off the roof, or owning a thousand cats, or having a gorgeous man so overcome with desire for you that he throws you down and ravishes you. But it's just that. It's a fantasy, not something that's practical in reality without a lot of work. Pushing your boss off the roof? Well, you'd probably go to prison for that, and you may leave an…

This is a tough one to fully address, but I'll do my best. Societally speaking, I don't believe so. There are not any institutional barriers in place that prevented me from getting my current jobs, I'm allowed to own my own property, and have access to contraception so I'm not forced to die in pregnancy. However, there are still a lot of people around with backwards views about what women should and shouldn't be, which can cause some problems daily. I'm sure men have equivalents to these, but th…

I used to freeze up in the face of fear - I don't anymore, thanks mainly to years of therapy - so maybe I can give some level of insight into how it comes to that? i think some people have the impression that people are coming from healthy home environments when they enter the adult world, or at least they don't have any lasting trauma from their growing up, but this isn't always true. I've never been raped, but I have been sexually assaulted. I'll still answer for the sake of contributing to the overall dialogue, though I don't consider this incident to be rape. I was fifteen years old and sitting downtown in the morning with two friends waiting to go to a cosplay event. I was dressed from neck to toes, almost no skin showing. Okay, so, you say no a lot, until you learn saying no isn't an effective strategy because you're not going to be listened to anyways - maybe you had a guy get violent as well - so to do so is useless. That's your answer then: women aren't giving a clear no because it has historically proven not to work and can potentially put them in danger.

Why is all the burden being applied onto women not getting themselves raped? Why do you think it's unfair for men to be expected not to rape women? I mean, if you're getting down to sex and the woman is lying there like a dead fish, that has to be a sign and not very enjoyable. A lot of women say no and have men interpret that as "convince me". Why can't men take a no without getting violent or asking sixty more times? (Obviously hyperbolic, not all men and that jazz) I don't think there is ever a level of directness that will ever reach some men. Im not sure. A lot of women seem to have really different taste, from what I've experienced. I know one woman who likes them androgynous, another who goes after heavier set fellows, and then myself, who likes guys with long hair who look like they could rip phonebooks in half without sweating. However, speaking personally, I want the guy to look like Nyle Dimarco. Given that he's a male model, I think there's probably a sizeable chunk of the female population that agrees with me.

Nope. I was in a really bad mental state. I was twenty and just starting to work through the problems that come with being severely abused as a child. It's a big regret of mine, not calling the police, but I honestly wouldn't have survived the trial, emotionally speaking, should it have gotten that far. He covered my nose and mouth until I began suffocating and had an asthma attack. I broke free and got my inhaler, which meant I didn't die. I think if we could trust people to be ethical, the opt out period taking place before sex would be ideal. However, in the case of things like stealthing, which is very difficult to prove in court, I don't think it would work. In an absolutely ideal world, I would say that in order for baby to exist, both parties should have to consent to baby going into existence. However, given how fertility works and birth control isn't always effective, I don't think this is realistic for right now. How I would manage financial abortions in present time, if it came up: men would be granted the same period women are in order to achieve a financial abortion. Meaning, the woman needs to be able to have an abortion should the man choo…

Perhaps I live in a liberal city, but I haven't really seen much shaming of people using sex workers. If anyone i know does, they haven't mentioned it to me at least. There are issues of human trafficking to consider, but provided the woman is 18 and fully all right with what's she's doing, why would I care? I'm not the genital police. I think a male birth control option that is not a vasectomy or a condom will definitely be a great step towards giving men more reproductive rights, which is super important! I also think male circumcision should be banned except in cases of medical necessity at birth. Once a guy turns 18, he should be allowed to undergo the procedure if he chooses

I am only going to address the sex aspect of this, but I believe it can be equally enjoyable for both parties. Men have prostrates, which can cause some very intense, shaky orgasms that seem about as intense as female orgasms from an outsider perspective. We can't magically switch to an always biologically male or female body from our own, so I doubt any kind of consensus is possible.

It's more about getting unity and support from a group of people than it is humiliating the guy. The goal is get rid of the unwanted suitor and not so many people will try to assault someone if they think they're taking on three people to get to the one. Again - I ask what the alternate solution a woman should take if a guy won't leave her alone? Only one example I gave was dangerous - dick pics and insults are annoying as opposed to dangerous. However, that's more talking on the online sphere as opposed to the in person sphere, which are two different subjects and I'll address the latter now. The anecdotal evidence on women's side shows a polite rejection, or a lack of response (sometimes with very little time left to send a response), can lead to death threats, unsolicited dick pics, and insults - think of byefelipe on instagram I don't think it's possible for outsiders to get an accurate picture about what always goes on in those encounters. I was abused by my ex boyfriend for a year. He sexually assaulted me and tried to murder me via suffocation. He isolated me from my friends as the decision eventually became "my friends won't go near him, so if I want to see him I need to avoid them". I think there is a small portion of it that actually comes down to behaviour and women putting in more effort. Women do a lot of little things men may not be aware of to improve their physical appearance in not so obvious ways. For example, you hear the joke of a man and woman going to the salon, the man spends $10 and looks like a whole new person in five minutes while the woman spends five hours and looks the exact same. Regarding #2 on your list, I think it has much more to do with venue than anything else. On a date? Calling a woman beautiful is a positive. In a professional environment, it's much less so. A lot of women want less focus brought to their appearances in professional environments when their skills should be the focus. By refocusing it on her appearance, particularly when the speaker would not do the same to a man (though really, cultural history makes this funky), redirects attention to her appea…

See, I disagree on that one. Mothers can be awesome, but some women are unsuited to motherhood, which is why the insistence is toxic femininity. My own mother was a drug addicted narcissist. She should not have reproduced. I know another friend who's mother tried to kill him. She should not have been a mother. So, a big problem I see is the lack of male mentors for youths growing up. I think, due to the "all men are pedophiles" scare that occurred, a lot of men have become reluctant to pursue careers working with kids. As a result, boys - and girls, for that matter - are not seeing as many male role models growing up.
