poison? Lmao 🤣 Also not the question. Question is in regards to medical decisions.

You can disagree on the details, but I don't think she should be able to make decisions unilaterally through inaction which is the point. Neither of us should be able to. I feel like of there is an impasse, we should be following the recommendations of the children's established medical provider. My 5 yr old already has frequent respitory issues and it could provide additional protection.

It's fair to think they may not work well but any risk is near 0..soo risk/cost im inclined to do it.

That's my issues too, it shouldn't be that she gets her way because she "feels" it's unnecessary and gets her way by default/inaction. I thought about just doing it betting she won't take me to court but she will likely retaliate in another way, there's a different school within district she wants my soon to be kindergartener to attent and would likely use it against me to justify enrolling him..Then I would have to decide if I want to take her to court over that...and the tit for tat continues.…

For me it's less about the vaccine itself and more about following medical recommendations, not Facebook research. If something isn't in place this issue will likely come up again.

We've been separated over a year, now just filed uncontested, there's a 90 day wait period in my state so now it's just waiting.

I didn't hire an attorney, she did. I get 50/50 custody and pay $160/month in child support (2 kids boy 3 and girl 10) in exchange for me keeping my pension minus 20k buyout from the home equity. I got plenty to Start over and get my kids 50% couldn't ask for more.

Interesting...ok my wife attorney said we need to "agree on home value" when I was pretty sure an appraisal would be determining that

CDFA? The child support is currently assessed at 0, me paying anything would be so that my pension stays as mine

My retirement is a combination of a state pension + deferred comp she has a 401k. She is wanting to buy me out but I hear what you're saying in pre/post tax. I'm just weighing the potential of what I could do with the addional $20000 in liquid assets now investment wise against being more stable in retirememt..if I live long enough to retire..no child support sounds nice however its not forever, my oldest is almost 10 and I was kind of expecting to pay $180/mo.

Soo she's suggesting buying me out for like $20000 less than what 50% would be but also then me paying $180/month in child support where otherwise it would be 0..would you still go with the less equity?

That kinda what I thought but when I posted about it before everyone said it's kind of standard practice for then to be added together and divided as it's something earned during the marriage.

So you list new home expenses even if not known? Just an estimate?

Exactly! Both my parents were completely miserable and disengaged. In a lot of ways I feel like I'm breaking the cycle.

I feel this too. While infidelity wasn't the issue I wasn't going to let my son see his dad constantly disrespected and invalidated or my daughter think it's ok to treat her future husband like that. Valued only as a tool for sbxw's vision of her suburban lifestyle perfect for Facebook but relationship rotting from the inside, disconnected, disengaged and merely existing. I role felt like i was there just to do do things no one else wanted, fix the house/cars ect and pay the bills. People ask "w…

Yea I get this and thanks for the input. I gues I was thinking just because she MAY be entitled to it doesn't mean it's necessarily right...she has her own retirement and I have mine and it felt like she was using it more as leverage to buy me out of the house for less.

I dont see how this is gaslighting. Likely the relationship was pretty much dead waaaay before this other person came along. Just because he found a fulfilling relationship now doesn't mean that he would have preferred his marriage to be mutually fulfilling in the first place. If he was in a happy relationship he probably wouldn't have had space in his heart for this other person. It takes two for a relationship to succeed or fail, he has acknowledged his responsibility in its failure.

Thank you. Did you have kids involved? It's so difficult when you have to try to draw a line where you feel like you have tried all you can and there isn't a black and white deal-breaker event but your own feelings of unfufillment, isolations and general disengagement in the relationship.

Thank you OP for this. Your situation mirrors mine alot and I constantly struggle with the ramifications of MY decision to leave and MY decision to not believe that change will sustain. Even after she has do counseling but only says she " doesn't want it to be like it was" but won't commit to sustainable change. It sucks when your life that you built over 16 years and your kids happiness feels jeopardized and you feel selfish because of it. I needed this today.

That helped with seeing your kids less?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
