You know it's funny, I think about the evidence that cold approach has ever been a significant strategy for anyone ever and I have never looked for any. I have to imagine most other boys/men have never searched for any real evidence. So we are just out here believing it is how it's always been. But as you said, the evidence for how relationships have historically been established is overwhelmingly anything but a cold approach.

based on this comment and your post, sounds like you're just unwilling to change. A very strange position to hold. Almost all conventional wisdom would tell you change is good and you should seek it out for as long as you live. 12 different partners and none of them lasted longer than 3 months? You were driven mental within 3 months? I find this strange and if I were you, I'd take a look inwards instead of making some general claim about the way women operate. You're statement is simply not true…

you are living in a fever dream. Women will demand men do something? to the extent that a civil war, or some kind of european invasion is likely to happen(it isn't), it won't just be women demanding you do something, it will primarily be other men!

Maybe, but right now, politically speaking, in the US, it seems to me the larger problem is with religious people trying to dictate their beliefs on the public at large. I'm not really seeing that from secular folks, who largely don't even have a voice from a political perspective, relative to how many of us there are.

I might be. It's hard to gauge who or what is taking a toll on mental health, and to what degree. Are you happy you got married? Are you still happy to be married?

and tbf, that was my initial gut reaction. But it shouldn't be. Based on your perspective, I think that is the ideal stance for religious person. Those of us not so religious should celebrate that.

This idea is far more stupid than it is morally corrupt.

Yes, I think the Korean president is spot on when he talks about the cultural issue. You can talk about reducing the competitive culture, but you can't stop someone from workin g80 hours/week if they're not willing to reduce those hours. Even in the US the work culture is crazy. everyone is supposed to have a job and a second hustle. Though I feel like more of these grindset, hustle culture gurus are being laughed out of the room these days, it certainly still exists.

Yes, but it does materialize for people, so it's absolutely possible. It's impossible with a sex worker. So people can resign themselves to that life, or perhaps keep on looking for the real "love" and companionship, etc.

I certainly appreciate your humanistic approach, truly. Many religious people do not. I understand where you're coming from now.

The point of this debate is men contribute waaay more in the beginning stages of dating Ok, but in terms of the lifetime of a relationship, it will likely level off and women to risk a lot with the choice they make. Of course we have some risk ourselves, but as a man, you can run off if you don't like the relationship. This has been true for centuries, my dad did it. Went to find a new wife, had new kids. Harder these days and especially in the US(this was in the UK, where the state will offer s…

I think a lot of men think chasing means continually trying to woo women that have zero interest in them. The classic guy friend that's in love with the girl. The guy that continues to take the woman out date after date, getting absolutely nowhere with her, but continuing to try. That's the chasing I don't think is conducive. Many man don't understand this though. Even if/when they win the hunt, the women is marginally interested and I don't anticipate they stick around. I've seen it time and ti…

Here's your problem. Things are black and white. "i meditate, so I do look within, so I must already have done the introspection." Just because you're meditating, doesn't mean your doing it successfully or even effectively. And even if you are, monks spend a lifetime trying to find enlightenment. So how ling is it going to take you to fully understand you inner self? probably forever Get out into the real world, meet people in real life, you'll see they don't present the same way they do on tik …

Walking away from dating does not seem, to me, like a viable solution. Chances are you would like to be dating women. You can condition your sex drive all you want, and that seems like a good practice regardless, but you'll still want to date women. Men are walking away from these toxic women everyday. Whether it's in the first Tinder DMs or the second or third date, it's happening all the time. I think women talking about the resources they've used to appear more attractive are trying to answer…

That's probably true. In this specific example, I think women are being asked what they bring to a date? What are they contributing? And while I'd read that question as mens frustration with taking a girl out and not even getting the simplest of contribution in terms of conversation, some of these women answer in terms that make sense to men; resources. So time and money on make up. If I'm taking you out on a date, I don't mind paying, I'm dating her because she looks good, not for her wallet. B…

Some women don't understand why they wear makeup. Just as some men don't fully understand why they go to the gym. What is your problem with that? What is hard to understand? Why are you even posing this question to women, even in the hypothetical? We know why women put on makeup, and it's absolutely to be more attractive. Whether that's for themselves, their partner, the public or their mother, they want to be presentable in a society that respects attractive people. It can increase confidence i…

This is demonstrably false. There is so much misunderstanding wrapped up in the word chase here. Do not chase, but go about your life in a way that introduces you to women organically. This includes the standard shit anyone will tell you, essentially, network, make friends, do social things, with family and friends. I mean, there are women at board game stores ffs. Even the trolls in moms basement can and do meet women.

People go to Sex workers. But it seems expensive, and even those guys still can't help themselves trying to find regular companionship. So there is something that sex workers simply cannot provide. It's probably genuine desire, or companionship, to name a few.

In the same breath you advocate for marriage from a religious perspective, but can't see one single benefit with as a legal institution. This makes absolutely no sense.
