Under the shadow of the “free bleeding marathon runner.”I actually held off on that after providing a lot of evidence for what I was saying, also, go up a few comments and see yourself saying "I used to be a long distance runner," much before I ever said anything about myself. Anyone can be a fucking distance runner if they just go outside and run. And the fact that I have dedicated the better portion of my life to this sport, at least I feel, is something that provides credibility. I tried to explain my reasoning to you, I really did, but I should h… | /r/TheRedPill | 18/08/15 08:49 AM
Under the shadow of the “free bleeding marathon runner.”First off, your logic is completely flawed. I didn't know what you were talking about when you said "1:03/mile" and "1:06/mile" until I realized you were deducting the mile world record from the average pace per mile it takes to get the marathon world record for both sexes. Makes absolutely zero sense to use that as a point of comparison. The closer you get to zero while running the mile (or any distance), it's exponentially harder to go faster for every .1 second that you go faster. For example… | /r/TheRedPill | 18/08/15 08:14 AM
Under the shadow of the “free bleeding marathon runner.”Read my comment below in reply to your other comment. You have no idea how big of a difference the world records are, and I don't know what you mean when you say 1:03/ mile. If you mean per lap in the mile world record, it's still wrong. 13 minutes is not negligible when comparing world records, most ridiculous thing I have heard. | /r/TheRedPill | 18/08/15 07:40 AM
Under the shadow of the “free bleeding marathon runner.”What? I don't know what you mean by averaging 6 seconds slower than the world record. Do you mean per lap in the 1500m? Let me break down the facts for you. Women's world record is 3:50.07 in the 1500m which is the equivalent of a 4:08.41 mile. Men's world record in the 1500m is 3:26.00 which is the equivalent of a 3:42.42 mile. This is an insane difference. To give you an idea, the men's 5k world record is 12:37.5 seconds. An average of 4:03.65 per mile. Yes, he MAINTAINED a pace of 5 seconds f… | /r/TheRedPill | 18/08/15 07:32 AM
Under the shadow of the “free bleeding marathon runner.”That's completely untrue... The men's world record for the marathon is 2:02:57, women's world record is 2:15:25. This is a HUGE difference if you know anything about marathon times and how much 13 minutes difference in time at that speed actually is. When comparing the elites of distance running there is absolutely no contest, and it's not up to any judges or opinion, the times speak for themselves. | /r/TheRedPill | 18/08/15 04:25 AM
