Carmack is definitely more influenial. He was the lead programmer for Wolfenstein 3D and doom. Wolfenstein was the very first 1st person shooter (you're welcome call of duty), and Doom was so successful that first person shooters would be called Doom clones for a very long time.

I would argue those things are more a matter of training than anything else. A man who is trained as a paramedic is going to be a much better person to have nursing you back to health than an average woman. think of the converse: is making men significantly better with guns than women mean anything? I would say make women weaker, but more dextrous, something which is, on the whole, true as supported by science, i.e. they'd be able to cross narrow beams better and stuff like that.

Not true. colalin is a female, and the support player for Taipei Snipers (and was a sub for the Taipei Assassins before that). The team hasn't accomplished a whole lot since splitting off from TPA, but the Garena premier league should be starting up soon, so they'll have a chance to prove themselves. But that is the only example I know, but to be entirely fair, there are very few (if any) high rated women, so it's not like they're being purposely kept off teams.

My high school geometry teacher made 126000 a year. I lived in an area that was a mix of upper middle class (me) through exorbitantly wealthy (1 mil+ houses). Also, he was in his last year of teaching and had been with the district since he finished his schooling, and had earned his masters during his tenure with the district. It's not unheard of for teachers to make that much.

I mean, yeah, but it's an optional procedure. Accidents happen. Nobody is perfect, and I get that, so why do something that isn't necessary that has the capability to go wrong?
