The men I like to reject are the a holes who try to neg/act as if they are gods gift to me. Also, I do not feel bad rejecting men who are kind and genuine- I just feel fairly neutral.

I live in one of the largest metropolitan areas in the US and am on my cities page. Most of the time people are just asking if the dude they want to date is a creep or not. It’s on the rarer side that you get a Casanova who has been stringing 5-10 girls along. When this happens- yes we have the classic “chad” type doing this maybe 50% of the time. But the other half, I’m sorry but these men are not even close to the top. Women aren’t exclusively going for the “top”.

I mean, there’s a lot of things people settle with aside from height. But good for you
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/23 07:32 PM

That is context to the wide ranges of heights I have experienced and how, like I said- height wasn’t a factor I really got hung up on. An attractive face and good heart is really all I care about. You’re projecting your own anxiety of being settled for onto what I said, where there is nothing at all about settling.

My first serious relationship was with a gentleman who was 6’4. After that relationship I dated several men who were my height or just above (5’6). My current partner is 5’10. I met him and had an instant connection with him. I chose him because of how open and honest he was with me about his faults and the bad stuff. Total transparency is incredibly sexy. And he gives the respect back, I can tell him anything and I am not judged or made to feel less than. Yes of course I still look at tall attr…

This is just anecdotal but in my experience 90% of my gal friends have long term bfs/engaged/married while literally 1 of my male friends out of around 20 is in a relationship. Most women I know aren’t dick gobbling factories. They want relationships with good men. They knew what they wanted, went out, didn’t fuck around with fuck boys who waste their time, found the good men, and stuck with them.

The changes I’ve made to myself weren’t because I wasn’t getting the caliber of men I wanted. That has never been a problem for me. But, my relationship with myself is what spurred the change. I had a poor sense of self because it was based on validation from other people. I was sick of not liking myself and not having a healthy relationship with myself. This started a journey of self discovery and self love. I got into hobbies that I was genuinely into. Started journaling and self reflecting. S…

I mean could you give examples of those things in media? I don’t really see those things being propagated in media tbh. And I think for the most part people are on the same page for social norms. There has been a shift in social norms but I think for the most part if you talk to any random person on the street you can find common ground on what is appropriate behavior pretty fast. And yes the wealthy have always done this but if you look at the power of the middle class from mid 1900s and compar…

Your first point idk where you are getting that from. I never said if you don’t teach your son self worth it’s abusive. And of course you need more than being driven, confident, and unapologetic to be a good man. You also need to be fair, honest, and kind. Other attributes as well but we will stick with the brief version for now.

What liberal values? I also have no idea what lies the media “pumps out” that is to blame for lonely desperate men. Personally, I think the destruction of the middle class from both the right and left is the reason why so many men are desperate and lonely. making you hate one side or the other so you don’t focus on the wealthy exploiting our systems for everything they can.

He’s a grifter, and that’s obvious. The things he says are to inflame and gain attention to himself. The rhetoric he uses to do that is some bastardized conservative jargon for sure. But do I think he is genuinely a conservative? Absolutely not.

This idea that one of the two sides produced this man somehow is laughable. He is a CONMAN. You think he cares about sides? If it was lucrative for him he would start spouting off about something else.

“Moderate liberals” since when do ideological sides need to put forward representatives to be role models? Who would be doing this? It’s not the worlds job to give young men a super hero to copy. VALUES are something that should be taught in the family and community. Isn’t that a conservative ideal? Being driven, confident, unapologetic of your worth are values that any father could and should teach their son. Very assuming of you, I wouldn’t care really to say my number if asked directly. Im a big girl who is good with herself and the choices I’ve made. And how exactly do you think they “suss” out these things? I haven’t really known men to be good at covert communication or information extraction. More just blunt and straightforward are what I get from the men I date

I think the most valuable thing I bring to my current relationship is being an oasis of some sorts. With me I’m his confidant who doesn’t judge, a laugh when he needs to be cheered up, a warm hug when he needs affection. Someone he can go to where the chaos and stress of life can’t penetrate. I’ve known one man that has suffered physical abuse at the hand of a woman. Any abuse, from anyone is despicable and people should not accept it or treat it lightly. I’m my experience I’ve known more women to be victims of DV (even one friend who was murdered by her husband) , but that’s just my experience. Yes I’ve seen a lot of people, especially on this sub, talk about women as if they are defected in some ways. And I’m with you, I think the problem is most people can be assholes. Emotional intelligence is not being properly taught in our families to anyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/23 01:18 AM
1

You said women are more to blame in this example? And I don’t doubt that many men have encountered women who treat them terribly when they open up. Tons of women also have that experience. I would say it’s more an example of how emotionally underdeveloped a lot of people are instead of there is a problem with women.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/23 12:48 AM

Regardless, if your answer to a problem is a whole group of people are to blame- you’re probably wrong. I’ve had several friends who have been raped/molested by men but I don’t view every man as a rapist.

I remember getting ready for senior prom I helped my date put makeup on his breakout lol I don’t think there’s anything wrong with men filling out their eyebrows, using concealer, getting their brows waxed, ect! If it looks good it looks good. Obviously if they over do it- just like women- it won’t be attractive. I think muscle suits are like kinda out there though lol, I’m not sure if that’s real world applicable

This is a minority of the population who have dead bedrooms. Dead bedrooms are one of the many cycles a relationship can fall into that is harmful to both people in the relationship. Cycles must be identified, accepted, treated, and healed. They are very serious and can make people miserable. Learning how to get out of a cycle is part of being in a healthy relationship.

Ideally you grow as a person in every relationship you have. Also, in terms of experience with a woman- those in a relationship always have way more sex and more time spent with a woman than those who are single. Yes, it’s one woman, but the time spent is of much more quality than random dates. A serious relationship would be more likely to communicate feedback with you in sexual and casual settings. I will also say if a man has never had a LTR, it’s kind of a red flag. Relationships aren’t easy…

Idk what blue pullers you talk to but that’s just not how the algorithms on YouTube and tik tok work. I think there is a lot of stigma when it comes to blue collar workers. They make great money and if they’re in a union they have great job security. I think there was a giant push towards higher education that led to this stigma. But I think people are finding out now that just because you have a degree doesn’t mean you automatically get a upper middle class job. Not a dealbreaker. Talking is just talking. You can’t expect anyone to be loyal to you if you aren’t committed to them. If you expect loyalty in the talking phase (which is disagree with but whatever floats your boat) your needs should be discussed ahead of time

You can uhhh get to know someone? Ask questions, investigate who the person is. There’s nothing that will identify everyone who parties or has partied in their life. Only thing you can do is be blunt up front or get to know the person at whatever pace is comfortable in the dynamic

My standards definitely shifted as I got older. When I was much younger I was very superficial and loved being with handsome men. After a few relationships like that I realized this approach to dating was vapid and shallow. And because of that the relationships were vapid and shallow. Now don’t get me wrong, I still value looks but I raised the standards on other things I value like ethics, drive, and personality. If their goals aligned with mine. If we shared common values.

Feminine traits are being nurturing, sensitive, gentle, intuitive. Not cleaning a house. Every man and woman has both masculine and feminine traits, leaning heavier based on the gender they’re born as. So women have more intense feminine traits but also possess masculine traits. If a man is displaying some feminine traits I would consider that a green flag. Many men are socialized to not connect to their feminine side. Where it becomes a red flag is if the balance is off. If a man is only displa…

Divorce rate has been relatively stable and on a slight decline. Decreasing population is a problem Elon musk is telling everyone to fear because the rich need workers to exploit and have constant growth in the system they have profited from. Not sure how the US’ corruption and ensuing inability to govern in the interest of their constituents has anything to do with gender. Most politicians are men being paid by male oligarchs.

The government actually doing their job and breaking up the monopoly power that strips people of opportunity. I think a lot of societal conflict comes from the lack of opportunity to live a decent life. Racism, sexism, bigotry are all symptoms of wealth inequality in this country. The middle class is shrinking and we are having more division as a result. Enforce a system where the middle class is large and let everyone live how they deem fit, as long as it’s not at the expense of another.

/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/23 07:04 PM

The average guy struggling is not the fault of women. Men are desperate and put having a woman as their pinnacle. When they don’t get one they are crushed. Is that the woman’s fault they are valuing something too much?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/23 06:18 PM

You don’t think a weirdo fatty knows he’s not getting any women because he’s a weirdo fatty? Come on you would have to have no sense of self or society if you need a woman to tell you that
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/23 06:12 PM

And lying to someone in a professional relationship to make more money off of them is called fraud, it’s not “feeling” like they got stolen from
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/23 08:37 PM
3

Lol but they didn’t give him anything? He took. He controls the money and lies to them about the fees he takes. They aren’t giving or in control of that
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/23 08:36 PM
3

Giving implies consent. They are being deceived and it isn’t a consensual encounter. They are being manipulated and lied to in order for him to take more money than they are actually comfortable with. That is stealing and why you are trying to defend it is beyond me. If someone did that to you, you would feel as if they stole and lied to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/23 08:33 PM
3

It’s both lol, lying is purposefully telling an untruth and stealing taking what does not belong to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/23 08:27 PM
3

He lied about taking taxes to take more money than he was entitled to, and he openly advertises he did that
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/23 07:30 PM
4

Of course, and what he has literally said “I tell them I have to pay tax on the money so I can take a bigger cut and there is actually no tax” is stealing
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/23 07:29 PM

Stealing from people is cool?

My bf and I started as fwb. We were both going through things and didn’t have the time or emotion to dedicate to a relationship. We became good friends and eventually a relationship happened. I think if you’re on the same page as someone a fwb is definitely the ideal situation for a young person

Easy as in they don’t care much what you have to say, and if you’re entertaining them as girl you don’t have care much about what they say. Very low effort interactions

I think it’s an honest look into who is attracted to fuck boys. Girls who are out to hook up and have fun like fuck boys. I think girls who are looking for someone with substance are turned off completely by them.

When I was dating i purposefully avoided fuck boys, I find them honestly unattractive

I think they’re not saying men are “happy independent men” because of the statistics that show, the average man may be struggling in areas they haven’t struggled in previously
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/23 02:45 AM
15

I think the discourse of single men usually revolves around the current statistics of “men falling behind”. Not going to college, not entering the work force, skyrocketing suicide rates indicating loneliness, how they’re in a vulnerable spot and how it affects their lack of serious relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/23 02:39 AM

No shit, if you’re ugly and alone with no prospects you’re probably unhappy. It goes for both genders lol Most people when they speak in generalizations are speaking on the average, the middle. A girl who’s not a knock out 10, but also not ugly. Just normal. Normal girls who are single are probably doing just fine for themselves

If you don’t know what you’re doing I’m sure any sexual experience will be intimidating. A woman who is also inexperienced will probably not have a great time, same as the experienced woman. She just won’t voice it because she as well is inexperienced
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/23 01:29 AM

A woman who knows what she wants is harder to please to a man who doesn’t know how to have good sex

Additionally, the Columbia Journalism Review described Media Bias/Fact Check as an amateur attempt at categorizing media bias and characterized their assessments as "subjective assessments [that] leave room for human biases, or even simple inconsistencies, to creep in". I think one assessment is more credible than the other

The institute for family studies where you get most of your “evidence” from is just a think tank that drives the right wing agenda. Seems like you’re thinking the way someone wants you to

I’m sure it’s possible some people have made a fake account. But what everyone is leaving out is that 90% of the claims made, are backed by proof. Texts, screenshots, whatever. Most of the time it’s a man acting like a total ass in the messages. At the worst end I’ve seen men with DV charges against them, a wife, and restraining orders trying to lie and say they’re single.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/23 05:34 PM

I never said it was wrong for men to be open about their sexual desires. I think it’s great. All I was pointing out is that the purity culture I was a part of shamed women for having sexual desire. And that was damaging to me. And it framed my relationships with men in a weird way. Also you’re wrong about porn. Sex work is probably accessed mostly by men because most women can have sex for free
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/23 09:36 AM

Not a surprise at all I have many male friends! I was calling into validity how he got his information because what he reports is false. I’m in the groups and the characterization given above of a slander filled bullying spree is not true.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/23 09:25 AM

This ^ im also actually in the groups and this is completely accurate
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/23 06:31 PM
0

How would you know? Men aren’t allowed in the group
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/23 06:29 PM
1

You said men are power objects, they’re not. A tiny portion of men are power objects. Men are providers of safety and security. This can be done through many different ways. Only very few men are objects of power. And being with a normal guy doesn’t mean you’re settling? If you’re happy and have a healthy relationship and you both find each other attractive, how is that settling?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 04:31 AM
1

And women don’t only want a certain portion of men. Women don’t only go after men who are only powerful, they go after a variety of men. Millions and millions of people are in relationships. You can’t tell me the only guys who are in them are the ones with physical and financial power. Hell, my own partner (though he does well) isn’t a top earner and has an average physique. Still adore him to the ends of the earth though
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 04:06 AM
2

That is the nature of life lol it’s reality and always has been. Physical and financial power has always been held by very few men. This isn’t a new issue
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 04:02 AM
1

What issues exactly?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 03:53 AM
2

Therefore I wouldn’t say “men are power objects” it’s a blanket statement that only touches a small minority of men
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 02:30 AM
2

But not every man has the ability to wield power in that way. I would say a small percentage of men actually fall into that category. Most normal people are with someone who is attractive in another way
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 02:29 AM
2

I don’t think men are solely power objects. You can ensure safety and security through other means; being the smartest in the group, being a charmer, observant (demonstrated in men via humor). Power is definitely one way to be safe and secure but there’s a whole lot of other ways men can demonstrate that to women
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 01:59 AM

I’m not sure about marriage but I think having a child and even multiple children will become a symbol of wealth. When I speak with my friends (late 20s early 30s) about kids the answer is always “if I can make enough money to give them the life I didn’t, then I will. If I can’t we won’t have any”
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 01:52 AM
12

Okay….no one said that? I had grown men cat calling me at age 10. There’s creeps out there. No one said “all men”
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/23 10:03 PM
11

Yeah I was in the Catholic Church which is very much the old way conservative style. I’m sure men had shameful experiences as well, it’s kind of the catholic way to use shame as a weapon of conformity. Either way we can agree purity culture directed towards anyone is fucked. Sorry you had those experiences, hope you’re able to continuously deconstruct the bullshit put on to you
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/23 09:54 PM

Very true
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/23 07:17 PM

Yeah and I get it too, there’s lots of freaks coming after young girls. They have the right to be scared. There’s better ways at going about it, but I get where it comes from.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/23 07:15 PM
33

I was raised in purity culture and it was toxic. It made me think relationships with men were solely based on sex and I felt uncomfortable with most men. I felt like I had to guard this thing that they would take. For so many reasons that shit is toxic. I developed lots of shame around sexual desire which made me frankly jealous of young men. It’s so normalized for them to be openly sexual. i feel like that’s 100% a social conditioning thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/23 07:07 PM

Also a study from Oxford that surveyed 150 THOUSAND profiles confirmed that yes, average men get more messages than attractive men
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/23 12:42 PM

Lol the ok Cupid study, which showed women messaged more average-looking men and were less likely to message the most attractive men.

It’s happening somewhere, just maybe not in front of you
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/23 12:13 PM

It doesn’t matter your anecdotes show the opposite. My experience shows that this happens regularly . So if we are to respect anecdotes (which both of our arguments are) and mine proves the existence of a trend while yours denies it, we can come to the conclusion it does happen. And maybe your sample isn’t big enough
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/23 12:09 PM

Again, copy and paste my answer from above. I have real life friends who are women, I was in a sorority, I am an active community member. This isn’t an anomaly
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/23 11:35 AM

This is where the rp men suffer. You don’t have friends who are women so you don’t see how women actually act. As a woman I’ve had so many pretty friends date (long term) average looking broke dudes. Like truly this happens all the time
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/23 10:42 AM

Again, who said that lol
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/23 10:38 PM

Who said therapy was a cure all? lol and if a guy has tried therapy and it’s not for him, that’s his prerogative. But if a guys is staunchly opposed to therapy without even trying it because it’s “too feminized”, I would think most women who value mental health and healthy relationships would find that unattractive and a red flag
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/23 10:38 PM

Passport bros are the ones who would have to settle??😂😂 I believe it’s usually the case where they are rejected by the women they find desirable in the states and then lower their standards (someone from a similar culture, education levels, proximity, ect.) so they have a partner

I don’t think anyone thinks crying is a solution to anything, but it’s a normal response to intense emotion. And people should feel free to cry regardless of their gender, especially when they talk about intense subject matter with their therapist. I really don’t think you made a very good case at all for why therapy is “feminized”. And from my experience, being a mid 20s female with lots of accomplished/attractive mid 20s female friends, they won’t even date someone who hasn’t done therapy or i…

This is the dehumanization of women before our eyes! You don’t think a grown ass woman has immediate consequences in her life every time she makes a choice? Just like every other functioning adult? And the generalizations here are insane. Your views are based on nothing real, just your very limited experience with limited people. All of the people I know in my life that are close to 30 and are still having their lives subsided by their parents are men. They are very insulated from the real conse…

You asked a question and I answered. Women do like unapologetic hypocrites. Because almost everyone is one. Anyways, your cmv can only happen if you stop going down this weird hole that will probably only drive you further away from what you actually want, which is to feel safe and loved by a woman. Cheers!

Of was supposed to be or* typo. And those are the averages of course. But I would say constantly working on yourself and trying evolve as a person is not what the average person is doing
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/23 02:58 AM

I disagree. As you said familiarity breeds contempt of indifference. But if you’re discovering new parts of yourself, that of course translates to the bedroom. If you’re attractive to your partner they’re going to want you, even if it’s been years. The sexual side to you can evolve just as the non sexual side of you can evolve.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/23 02:04 AM

Novelty is the source of a lot of excitement in the beginning of a relationship. You’re discovering new things about a new person and it’s thrilling. When you get to know each other this obviously slows down. Some people can get too sucked into each other, become one. This is what some people think is the ideal partnership. But then there is 0 novelty and therefore, little to be excited about. Having your own friend groups, your own interests, continuing to challenge your own self and work on yo…
