I could be a dick for assuming this but I imagine you're from the US. Have you taken a look at your prison system? It's arguably one of the worst in the world. And the raping. So much raping
Your situation scares me so much. I'm getting to the age where marriage/kids are a possibility. I doubt I'll ever get married let alone even have kids. A sports car and a disposable income seem a lot more appealing.
