It’s seen as a requirement for commissioned officers to be ranger tabbed if they want to be an infantry PL. as far as enlisted it’s seen as something you need if you want to make 7 in 7 or or E8 orE9. Its in no way a “standard” for enlisted soldiers in an infantry battalion. As for the colonel, he’s gonna say whatever he needs to when he’s the leader of that course. 1	Equality or Reality? So I’m not sure if you know what ranger school entails but it’s a leadership course. Land Nav, patrol leadership, patrol base operations , sleep deprivation is pretty big, op orders and the like.
