I'm sorry--the other mods say no dice.

Okay, that's odd...I'll follow up with the older mods.

Actually, you're not banned, I just checked. :) You're on Tier 3 on the main sub, which means you were banned for 7 days...which expired, like 3 years ago. You've been free to post there ever since.
/r/MensRights30/06/18 07:27 PM

Not really--you can always PM the mods, or you can speak to a mod in some other fashion, like you're doing here. Hopefully third time's the charm--do you want me to ask the other mods if there's a consensus to unban you on the main sub?
/r/MensRights30/06/18 06:44 PM

More "forgot your existence," sorry. :) Did you want your FeMRADebates ban revisited?

Well, I feel kind of weird discussing this in what I am sure is not on topic for this thread, in a totally different sub where they may well not really want me derailing like this. :) If you have questions of this nature, please feel free to come over to the meta--/u/wazzup987 seems to think you'd like your ban revisited on the main FRD sub? If that's the case, let me know and I'll look into it.

Hi Wazz--I'm sort of confused as to what you want me to do here, on this sub that I do not participate in. :) What were you asking about, exactly..? (I'd have responded sooner, but I thought you all had kind of resolved it on your own, below...whatever it is exactly...)

Some men's become greater than some women's. There are plenty of men my age at my job who I am pretty sure, have literally thousands of fewer options than I do. Maybe millions, depending on how much public exposure I could get all of us. :)

That's why I titled it "YOUR SHARE." To avoid you coming in here with some equality argument. What, me personally? And I'm afraid if you're going to say that it's a truism that oft times, a woman has trouble seeing things from a balanced perspective, then probably, someone is going to point out that the actual truism is, people have trouble doing so. Easy solution: Don't say things you don't want to be held accountable for. :)

I think a truism that oft times, a woman has trouble seeing things from a balanced perspective. I'm trying to think of someone, anyone I've ever met, of any gender who didn't have trouble seeing personal things from a balanced perspective, and totally failing to come up with anybody.

ISFJs aren't on this list, but it's still the funniest dating guide I've ever seen for the Myers-Briggs types. :) And I must say, it is actually accurate for both my husband and me! http://philolzophy.tumblr.com/post/3031147167/myers-briggs-dating-field-guide

I've actually never known a guy who was rejected for being either too muscular or too skinny. I have known a few guys who were rejected for being too fat.

Even if he told you how much he liked you and made plans for a second date? I ask because that's what my now-husband did on our first date. :)
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/16 02:55 PM
2

Relieved. :) That's one of the things about my now-husband that I liked a lot, that he stayed out of my personal space zone on our first date. He made it clear in other ways that he liked me, and not pressing me physically made it clear that he also respected whatever speed I wanted to move at.

Nope. I've had many, many opportunities to do just that over the course of my life and apparently, the answer to that question for me is, Nope. :)

I have friends who radiate certain qualities through their being. Just being around them I am aware of their presence and those qualities are palpable...You feel safe with them simply because of who they be in life. As I'm not psychic, I really can't tell what anyone is "radiating" without external markers to clue me in. I've never met anyone who, just by standing there, not smiling, not talking, not moving (all of which are actions), made me feel at ease. Frankly, anyone like that would probabl…

If you are sitting there expressionless and motionless, nobody can tell you're happy. People outside of you can only tell you're happy by the way you act--ie, your actions.

Now I'm wondering...would it be cheating on your spouse, to have a sex/love bot?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/16 03:30 PM
1

There is a classic truism regarding men and women and love and marriage -"Women hope men will change after marriage, but they don't; men hope women won't change, but they do." So basically, both genders marry an imaginary person, and when the real person they married either fails to become the fantasy or it becomes clear that that person never was the fantasy, disappointment ensues..?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/16 03:19 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/16 03:13 PM

I'm sure they would be awesome for lonely individuals who just can't seem to make it work with a real life person. However, for those who can do so, unless they're secretly control freaks, a sex/love bot probably wouldn't be more than an occasional sex/love "vacation."

But are they actually going to get the top level women? It seems like you're just recommending failure at a higher standard?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/16 04:11 PM

Assuming I'm clear on what beta males are (and I'm probably not totally), the two choices you're proposing for them seem to be: try to date very attractive women, or try to date averagely attractive women. You seem to be then saying that neither of these strategies are actually going to result in a successful relationship, so they should just shoot for the very attractive women anyway because...here's where I'm losing track of the reasoning. At least when you're rejected, someone hot is doing it…

It can temporarily be altered due to tragedy, pregnancy, Yep. That actually put quite a strain on my first marriage, during my first pregnancy, as neither I nor my husband knew that pregnancy could do that, and he became convinced I didn't really want him anymore (it really wasn't that--I didn't want anyone--it's the weirdest state of being ever, like your insides have turned to Styrofoam--there's just nothing there). Luckily, both when things returned to normal some months after the first pregn…

It really depends on why they're not having sex, and how on board each of them is with not having sex, and how permanent a state the not-having-sex is. For example, if sexual frequency has dropped due to external forces (one that springs to mind is when a friend of mine and her husband had twins, and then the twins developed health issues about six months after they were born that dragged on for almost another year), and both parties know that they loved their sex life before and will love it ag…

After he's ascertains whether or not she's married (and if she is, "never") Once that assessment's out of the way, I'd recommend he waits til he has some idea if she's interested back or not, for his own sake--however, if he really wants to just put it out there and not wait for that, you know, whenever he feels comfortable doing so is fine.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no; there are other things people pursue in this way--some out of sincere convictions, some out of a desire to achieve personal gain, some (many, probably) motivated by both.

It must vary wildly from woman to woman. I'm personally still waiting for younger men to quit hitting on me on the rare occasions I go to a dance club these days; they haven't, so I suppose I haven't hit the "wall" yet either, which ya'd think I'd've done by now. :) (Okay, honestly, I was horrified the last time it happened, I seriously considered dragging him outside and positioning myself under the brightest streetlamp I could find and yelling "Look at me NOW and rethink your selection criteri…

I believe you've heard the first and second. I don't believe you've heard the third. Most men today aren't stupid enough to actually say they believe women are stupid and shallow in real life, other than anonymously on an internet forum. Oh, it was real (and edited to add: this was the "rageful" example, because it was that, too). I just left out part of the statement. The full statement was, "You're really unusual...most women are stupid and shallow." Does that help contextualize it better? :) …

Men and women are different. In some ways, sure (example: in their 23rd chromosome pair). In other ways, no (example: all 22 of their other chromosome pairs). In other words, it really depends on what exactly about men and women you're talking about... Women sleep with high value men in their youth (they can't make them stay) and settle for a low value man in their 30ies. As a blanket statement, no; as "does any woman anywhere do this?" then yes. It is stupid to be the one a woman settles with, …

I grew up working class poor, but most of my friends were welfare-poor, as my family fit that demographic a lot better in all other ways except, you know, just not being on welfare. #1: It's impossible to really predict how anyone specific will be. #2: Working class poor are more likely to be from politically conservative families and welfare poor are more likely to be from politically liberal families, so there's that. #3: None of them are particularly likely to leave their socioeconomic strata…

I haven't got the faintest idea--I honestly am not sure how you'd tell that as a general gender thing. I can certainly tell what specific people I know are doing...I find that a lot of people regardless of gender seem to think that their inner beauty or true self should be sufficiently attractive in of themselves to not require any serious external maintenance.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/16 02:29 PM

I'm kind of amazed that this is perceived to be a gendered trait. A lot of people I know, with no discernable relationship to their gender, like to do what I always called "overlapping" (I never knew there was an official term for it). I find that behavior pitiable and repellent, but seriously, a lot of people cannot just bring themselves to deliberately choose being single. They gotta already be transitioning to somebody else.

So, in terms of who everybody actually wants, it says the following: When it comes down to actually choosing targets, men choose the modelesque. Site-wide, two-thirds of male messages go to the best-looking third of women. So, my mom wasn't quite correct--60% of the men want 30% of the women, according to OkCupid. :) But still, in essence she was correct--the majority of men want a minority of women. And my personal experiences and observations do strongly support this.

A simple heuristic, call it Occam's Fractal Razor, would suggest that RP is much closer to the truth than BP, simply because it's more complex. Oh, no. This statement is actually making my head hurt. Way back when I first got on Reddit, I glanced over both TRP and RPW, and I did indeed notice the strong difference in tone between the two. If so, where did I claim there was no religious basis in any of our laws? I merely pointed out that they in large part were and are based on many things other than religi…

I would say you can't easily wreck a happy home, as the inhabitants will not help you do it. If you're willing to put a lot of effort up to and including criminal activities into it, you can probably wreck any home.

Actually, our current law is also based in large part on ancient Greek and Roman governmental philosophies, which were pretty irreligious.

I certainly am, but I want it to be mine. Not dependent on someone else's romantic or sexual whim. :) Perhaps it's not that the idea that women want status is crap, but that women prefer to achieve it indirectly via the romantic or sexual gifting of men is crap?

Sadly, I have personally known several men who mistakenly believed I might be attracted to them--it turns out that people do delude themselves on this subject. :) Not infrequently, even! But let's use your standards, to see if the men I treat the same way you treat those women are sexually attracted to me as well: Gives me compliments, such as "handsome" or "good looking" Check! checks me out Check! gives me a ton of individual attention Check! drops her plans to hang out with me instead Welll, …

I agree that I don't think I'm treating them as my inferiors--however, the OP seems to think that behaving towards them in the same way I behave towards them, is treating them as inferiors.

No--I'm simply wondering how you know they want to have sex with you--are they telling you so and/or actually having sex with you, or are you guessing?

The Bible, to use a religious example, is full of laws that at many times in many places have been the legal authority--in many countries today, religious laws are the legal authority--does that disqualify them from being a moral authority? Clearly they're intended to be inextricably intertwined, as the Constitution's legal authority is clearly intended to be inextricably intertwined with moral authority.

you are not getting positive feedback. When I say attention from women this means they view me as fuckable and want to have sex with me, and find me sexually attractive. I'm sorry--I don't see in your post where these women are either telling you outright they view you as fuckable or you've actually fucked them? You just say that you're getting "attention and admiration." By that, did you mean they're saying, "I want to fuck you" or even, actually fucking you? All of them, or most of them, or an…

The relevancy of the experience is, that I'm getting the same positive feedback using the same tactics from my male coworkers towards me, a female, as you are from your female coworkers using the same tactics towards you, a male, yet you seem to be saying that it's women who won't do this unless men do that--if my experience is as valid and representative as yours, this is a human response to other humans of the opposite gender who behave this way, regardless of which gender it specifically is i…

Secularism by definition doesn't claim the universal authority necessary to proclaim a universal arbitrary morality. The Constitution of the United States claims arbitrary moral authority over the entire United States of America, for example.

Outside of religion and law, how else would a society create and maintain a structure such as morality? Exactly--law. Which can be quite secular; it's not necessarily religious.

The truth is, without an arbitrary religious basis, morality is indeed subjective. Why does it have to be an arbitrary religious basis? Wouldn't the statement be just as accurate if secular was substituted for religious, which seems to lead to the statement actually being, "Without an arbitrary basis, morality is indeed subjective"? I suggest an optimum morality as taking the middle path between these two extremes of social and genetically-interested morality, so that you can have a nice society…

Are you sexually attracted to the men you act as a leader towards? I make an effort not to be. :) However, I expect I do occasionally feel sexual attraction towards a select few of them. Do the men you lead find you sexually attractive? I also make an effort not to know this one way or the other. :) However, I expect that some of them have felt that way occasionally. Would you have sex casually with any of them? I'm in a monogamous long-term relationship, so I don't have sex casually with anybod…

Well, it sounds like the way I treat men, according to your definition, is as if they are my inferiors, and again according to your definition, they are loving it. So, if your logic is sound, men only like women who treat them as inferiors too. Or, your logic isn't sound. Which do you think is the case?

Well, I'm a woman, and my job involves me being solicited for help by men like all day long--I often joke (I think I've actually made the $50 one almost word for word), I don't try to make it clear that I'm smarter/more knowledgable on the subject of question than they are but clearly they think I am because there they are, asking for my sage advice, and I always act like I'm confident and a leader. And indeed, I get lots of attention and admiration from the men in my workplace. So, I guess what…

I think I'm not understanding your question: are you asking, is there evidence that TRP is a misogynistic cult, or if there's evidence that it isn't the right personal philosophy for you?

With the first husband, he was a person who liked things to be solid and set in stone--he didn't like to overanalyze things, he had a deep respect for authority and tradition, and frankly, he wasn't all that smart. I was pretty much the complete opposite of all that. Not a recipe for long-term happiness. :) With my second husband, he not only came from a wealthy family, he wholeheartedly embraced everything about it and the attendant lifestyle. I didn't come from wealth and had little interest i…

I'm definitely not an RP but I don't know that I'm BP or not...I don't think I understand it well enough yet to say. :) I've had several relationships and I don't want to bore anybody, including me, by breaking them all down...trying to think if there are any trends I can at least speak to, though! 1) About how long did your relationship last? ( <1 year, 1-3 years, 3-6 years, 6-10 years, 10+ years) I've had various relationships that lasted anywhere from 6 months to 9 years. 2) Who initiated the…

Sure, why wouldn't it be acceptable to have dealbreakers? You're not hurting anyone--I mean, not unless not having a relationship with you is equivalent to literally ruining someone's life, in which case, the vast majority of the world's population is going to have their lives ruined regardless as you can only have so many relationships anyway in your given lifetime. My dealbreakers: Doesn't bathe or practice good dental hygiene regularly; certain sexual fixations (two examples would be "childre…
