Critical? Absolutely not. Cathartic? Yes. I've played guitar for 14 years, but that doesnt mean im going to spend 6 figures to go to school for it. You know what is critical? Food. Water. Infrastructure. Medicine. Art is optional once the other basic needs have been met. So yes, art degrees are a waste of fucking money.
