You must be new to MGTOW? I have fought for custody multiple times over the years, being the father didn't do me any favors. We had an original agreed upon nearly 50/50 schedule that she violated visitation schedules, moved out of state without informing me on one occasion, and my reward wasn't even having the original order enforced, it was reduced time with my son. His mother's uncle kicked him, when I found out I beat that son of a bitch's ass and then reported it to children's services - aft…

I have until I'm blue in the face. If it weren't for me, he wouldn't have even applied for a job in the first place - first job a month after he turned 18 and was already graduated from high school. After less than two months he was already talking about quitting so he could "Take a break for a couple weeks." Because taking drive thru orders is so exhausting. I unloaded trucks, handled lumber and concrete, and worked as an auto tech from my teens to late 20s. I haven't powdered his ass since he …

By that logic everything bad in his life is actually my dad's, since he banged my mom and created me. I'm absolved of all responsibility now. He can be a simp all he wants, but I don't have to reward him for it.

The only thing I regret is having him move in with me. I'll have actual utility with that room he occupied as an office now.

That sounds like a bitch response, blame the father for everything wrong with the kid? Anything I did wrong in life was on me, not my father. I accept that and it's something he's going to have to learn. If he wants to blame me, whatever, I'm not losing any sleep over it.

I tried the wifi thing, he just got a prepaid phone with unlimited data the next day. With my half-sisters, I have seven nieces/nephews of driving age (17-24): only two of them have their permit or license. One nephew was raised by his father (my ex-BIL) and the other is in the USMC. My daughter is younger than any of them and has her license.

When I had him, I also had my own car bought and paid for myself, and was living on my own. I didn't expect my dad to do anything for me. When he offered or I asked, I was ashamed yet appreciative of whenever he was willing to do. My father was much harder on me, flat out told me when I was doing something stupid. I'm the better for it.

I predict two outcomes. Either he gets sick of his mom and everything will fall into place on its own, or he'll go full NEET and be stuck living with her and working fast food forever. In either case, this is his choice. He wasn't kicked out, he wanted to leave. I'm not going to beg or bargain with him to stay in my four bedroom, 3.5 bath place with just me and his sister if he thinks life is going to be better at his grandmother's two bedroom, 1 bath place with his grandmother, mother, and two …

Hey OP you are fucking scum for writing your son out. I hope he does get his act together and realize you are a piece of garbage father. Then I also hope he never wants anything to do with you. If he does get his act together, then that's good enough for me. He has no obligation to me, nor me to him. Also, I agree. Trump is a cuck, and I never cast my vote for him in 2016 or 2020.. so not sure what that had to do with this.

He could claim that if he isn't mentioned. All it takes is one sentence: "The failure of this Will to provide for any distribution to my child, NAME, is intentional."

LOL, yep sounds like we have the same son, he's the first grandson as well. He started working at Wendy's in August, then in October he said he was thinking of quitting "To take a break". I looked at him and asked, "The fuck you need a break after two months of working?"

I have nothing to apologize for, I refuse to be an enabler. Make time for shared activities? Tried that too. "Hey, wanna watch this show with me when I get off work?" - Him: "Nah, I was planning on watching it with mom and my sisters." "I found this new game shop that opened recently, want to drive with me and we'll get some Chinese food on the way back?" - Him: "I'm good." He'd prefer to sit in his room online all day and only come out for meals, or spend his off days at his mother's. We can ha…

We weren't estranged, we were stuck with an archaic alternating weekends/holidays visitation schedule that I followed to the letter - only deviating from it if it meant I'd get more time with him. Ex: Our exchanges were Friday at 6:00pm and Sunday at 6:00pm. If his mom was having car troubles or didn't want to be bothered to meet at that time he would instead ride the school bus to my place Friday and stay with me Sunday night and ride the bus to school on Monday morning - then to his mothers Mo…

I wasn't setting a deadline on getting the car because since last year the used car market has been on a rollercoaster. Talked to him about having the money set aside so when the right car at the right price came up he'd have the buying power to get it - I was hoping for him to have a bit saved by the end of Summer when the Tax Refund/Stimulus money ran dry for most people. I did have several sit downs with him, but didn't want to seem like it was just about the monetary cost to me by threating …

Saving for a beater car isn't too much to expect in a few months. No, we live in a rural area with no public transportation or Uber/Lyft. So, I drove him everywhere he needed/wanted to go. His mother refused to take him to get his permit until just before his 17th birthday and he failed it. Then refused to take him again, at one point telling him "If you want it so damned bad, you can get it when you're 18, I'm not obligated to help you get it." I've taken him three other times to do it, and had…

What good is it, if he refuses to do the first step of getting his learner's permit so I could teach him to drive - or at least save the money for a car at some point? I've been telling him this every month for eight months. Driving him to/from work five days/week for eight months. I've explained budgeting so he could have plenty of discretionary income while also saving some of the roughly $10,000 he's earned in that time. What's the alternative? Tell him to hand me all his money and give him a…

I was trying to help him become an independent man, I discouraged him from buying me gifts for my birthday/Christmas, while he was buying his female family members affection. He didn't even have the courage to tell me his intentions, I had to ask him. He can learn life the hard way, like I did.

Hell yes I would have. I only have two kids because I was a dumbass that believed two women were on birth control, I didn't shirk my responsibilities for my kids but if I'd have known then what I know now: I'd have been child free in my 20s and 30s.

lol, never met a Deone. Since I deleted her number from my phone after he turned 18 and moved in with me I've finally been able to say my mind without having to fear reprisals of her denying me time with my kid. She came to get my son to spend the day with her and his sisters, stepped in the door and tried talking to me about having an allergic reaction to something she ate the weekend before. Just said, "I don't give a shit and you need to wait outside." My second baby mama had her 4th kid (she…

Sounds like my son's mother. I'm baby daddy No. 1. Then, she had two more kids with two other guys. Kids stayed in the house with their grandmother, while the kids' mom lives in a camper/trailer on the property with her current boyfriend. My son aged out and moved in with me when he turned 18. My grandfather adopted my aunt when she was an infant, married her mother (my grandmother) and had three more children with her. When my grandmother died, nearly 50 years later - he wasn't her dad anymore. My mother married my dad, with two daughters already, and had two sons with him after. She treated all four of us equally. My high schooler daughter is doing virtual learning this fall semester and I just got a pandemic EBT card with a $240 SNAP/Food Stamp balance. Spent half of it this weekend stocking my pantry and getting Thanksgiving dinner bought weeks in advance. The only junk food I got was a few boxes of dry cereal that were on clearance ($1.82/box vs. $3.84/box), and some cup ramen flavors for a few lazy meals this fall/winter. I can't stand working with single mothers, they try to use their kids as a handicap/excuse for everything. I've been a single dad since 2005 and only ever had to use my daughter as an excuse to leave work early maybe two times when she was legitimately sick at daycare/school. I've never used her as an excuse for trying to get free shit or sympathy from others.

Lost a daughter at four weeks old just before my 22nd birthday. I didn't have the luxury of mourning, my parents didn't understand - the only loss either of them had before this was of one parent each well into their 40s. Three months after her death, the mother took my son and filed for child support when I refused to just hand over my entire paycheck to her. Seeing my son less and not having the time to properly grieve, I just worked and felt like an empty shell for months. Then I was ordered …

If you don't pay, you're going to face some very nasty consequences including jail time. Of course, this only applies if you're the father. My daughter's deadbeat mom is just north of $30,000 in child support arrears. She's not spent a single night in jail since the order went into effect in 2009.

Pandemic has been great for me so far. Got a great deal on a lightly used truck in Spring. I got to stay home working, with my two teenage kids 24/7 - we get along way better than we did before this. Last month was the last time I had to pay child support, as my son turned 18. I just started a second job for fun, to get out of the house and get paid with the US Census. Funny, I actually enjoy being around my children - seeing mostly moms (being single/married doesn't make a difference) whine abo…

The only advice I can give is to spend as much time with your parent as possible, that's one thing I did for my parents. It depleted all of my paid leave, but I don't regret spending it with them. Also, I don't know your family situation. Whenever someone is lost, some family members lash out at others. So, try not to take what some people say in grief to heart. My brother really had hard feelings toward our father after mom died. Dad had a hard time dealing with it and just got out of the house…

Sorry you're going through this, I lost both my parents within a 4 year period and it sucked royally. Mom was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in July 2013, she died in September 2014. Dad's health deteriorated after that and ended up with one foot amputated a year to the day she died. He drowned into bottles of whiskey/bourbon/vodka until he died of a heart attack June 2018. Been nearly 2-6 years and I still have the urge to pick up the phone and give them a ring from time to time.

I forgot to mention, I'd asked my biological brother if he could make a detour on his way to/from visiting his girlfriend (a 9 hour drive to his GF's, from my place and his place) I'd only be a 6 hour detour. He flat out says, "Dude, that's 6 hours, find somebody else." This is the same brother that I helped move from the USA east coast to the west coast, and again from the west coast to the east coast. Recently saw this with one of my co-workers. She was married to a guy for 8 years, he was into going to live sports events: football, NASCAR, basketball, baseball. This couple went to an event every week. She divorced him and got with a new guy. Now she's all about off-roading, hunting, camping. She got excited when our employer announced a new family leave policy: 12 weeks paid leave for new parents. I foresee this new dude getting trapped with a kid with her.

Dunno if he's American, but if he is, in his defense our school systems spend a disproportionate amount of time on US History and very little on World History. I'm with you, I've got a 12 year old mid-size 4-door truck. I don't need an SUV, a convertible, or a full-size truck. I just needed something to seat myself, and my two teenage kids. Wanted a truck bed to haul crap without stuffing nasty stuff in the backseat or trunk. I work with a couple new moms, and they NEEDED a full-size SUV as soon as they had their first child. I have a conspiracy theory that the reason Disney destroyed the EU is because as feminists they want to make revisionist movies to sweep the red pilled EU content like KOTOR under the rug. I don't care for the current Disney stuff, with the exception of Rebels & Rogue One. To address the above, even Lucas didn't give a crap about the EU. Son: Taking her to court years ago for denying me visitation, rewarded me with reduced visitation of 3 days/week to 2 days/alternating-weekends. Daughter: Her mother just abandoned her after I petitioned the court for custody - she's spent a total of maybe 3 weeks combined with her since Fall of 2005. My oldest (son) is the one I had "almost" split custody with at the start. 3 days/week. After dealing with her custody shenanigans, I didn't take any chances with my second child with another mother. That custom book just shows her you cared, and she gets the gratification of knowing you're hurting. If you honestly want to hurt her, don't leave shit, not a single note. Easiest way to piss off a woman is to give her no explanation whatsoever, don't reply to texts, don't answer phone calls - if you do answer then hang up while she's talking.

Girl is explicitly stating to have a FWB while stringing along several potential suitors that remain unaware of her FWB, until she deems one of them relationship material. With the caveat that if said nice guy is bad in bed, dump him and try again. If she didn't promote the idea of keeping a secret FWB while doing this, she would actually sound like she's being selective.

Could, but won't. State only goes for the easy, low-effort collections. She doesn't maintain any open bank accounts, working for tips, not responding to mail sent to her residence. When I asked if they could have a process server go to her place of employment, was told that won't happen. The state attorney even told me "You might have shot yourself in the foot when you asked and was awarded interest on the back child support last year." I laughed and replied, "She was $40,000 in arrears and has …

Have, nearly every year she's ordered to court for contempt charges, she doesn't show up. Child support district attorney sends an order for her to make a purge payment ($500) within 30 days or she'll have a warrant for her arrest - she ponies up the purge payment and waits another year. State can't garnish her wages, because she works for tips.

Now my daughter is with me, full time, Good deal dude, I've had custody of my daughter since 2005. Good luck collecting child support from her, my daughter's mother is over $50,000 in arrears and I'm lucky to get $500/year. That may change starting next year, she had another child, so if she is due a tax return for the next 18 years - I can start collecting what is due.

So she got a child support cash advance I got credit for paying ahead. I stopped doing this eventually, when the state started to only dole out what was due - if I paid two months in advance, she would only get one month now. Then the second month the next month. I flat out refused when she asked "Can you lend me money and I'll pay you back when I get the child support?"
/r/MGTOW11/10/19 07:53 PM

My son's mom and her family tried to pull this on me. The state collects child support from me and after giving me credit for paying, sends it to her. When she asked me for 'extra' money, I wouldn't give her the money directly; I sent more money to the state to give her. So she got a child support cash advance, instead extra money on top of what I am court-ordered to pay.

My son doesn't ask for much. For his birthdays and Christmas, he'll ask for, at most, a $60 video game. I'm actually slightly ahead on paying child support for him - yet every time he asks for something she never has the money to buy it. Since she doesn't even have a job, he'll ask me for the games that cost the most and her for the cheaper games - still no dice.

Lost my father in summer 2018. I do regret not making more of an effort to be close to him after my mother died in 2014. Going through his stacks of letters, legal documents, and his Alcoholic recovery papers from 30 years ago made me regret I didn't see him the way my mother did. He didn't brag about what he did for his family, he just did it and didn't ask for any recognition for it. He was by no means perfect, but anybody who claims the are is lying.

child support almost always benefits the woman regardless of everything else. Yep, if a parent makes substanially more than the other parent - the primary residential parent can end up being responsible to pay child support to the alternate residential parent. I met a dad with custody of his kid that had a current order to pay child support to the non-custodial mother, that blew my mind.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. The ACA was a boon to people like this man, instead of getting booted off his parents' healthcare out of high school he was given several years to find a career and choose an employer that could provide an affordable plan for himself. Saving for the wedding wasn't the only reason he opted for the cheaper insulin. I don't know what his fiance's financial situation was, but his gross monthly income was probably less than $2838. I spent about $200 for Christmas, that included the modest gifts for my two children (some clothes and a video game), my grandmother (a card & a fruit cake), my disabled uncle (12-pack of Diet Coke), and the dinner I prepared for my children, sister, and nephew. The only time I left my home was to deliver the gifts to my grandmother/uncle.

She's due to deliver her 4th child in January 2019... now she'll most certainly never have a judgement against her. Me? Don't need caps, just cut guaranteed government funding and those colleges will have to lower their costs to be affordable to those attending. Same goes for low-income housing programs. women are just never satisfied. Even if they are satisfied, the cost-benefit of staying in a relationship for them is usually better to end it. I didn't ask for the order to include future interest to accrue since I was awarded the retroactive amount prior to April 2017. The biggest problem with men since fucking forever is they have heart. Real heart. It's the same for cats, I don't want to deal with feeding them, cleaning their shit boxes or replacing furniture so I don't have one in my apartment. I don't hate cats. I like dogs, but I don't want to be beholden to caring for it, feeding/walking/grooming/etc so I don't have one. I don't hate dogs. I am genuinely…

I don't generally ask my son about the men in his mother's life, but he was talking about one of them his mother broke up with months ago. Guy actually sounded decent, does back breaking work outside, supports his kids. Out of curiosity I asked him what went wrong with him. "Mom got mad at him when she asked him for money and he said he didn't have any. She found out later that he had a lot of money saved."

Oh my mistake, I didn't realize it was sarcasm! My sister was telling me about her kids the other day, she lets her teenage son do what he wants, smart phone and all, boy cusses like a sailor "because she doesn't want to hinder his way of expression." She's so proud that he's working at a grocery store and planning to make a career out of it like she has.

If someone tries to snatch her in the two-minute walk from the bus, after school to our apartment door... a phone wasn't going to save her anyway. She can call from the landline phone, that way I know she's actually home.

I'm an 'older' millenial, I remember beepers not even being allowed in class. My kids' school allow phones in the classroom... "so long as it isn't disruptive" Seriously, how the hell are you supposed to teach anything when students are more concerned with whatever is on the little screen in your hand? People look at me with disgust (mostly women) when I tell them I'm not giving my 14 year old daughter a mobile phone... she can get one when she's 18 and pays for it herself.

I haven't consulted a health care professional about a vasectomy in over 10 years so I'm not sure. First would be to contact your insurance carrier, to see if it even covers it and how much it covers. If you have a general practitioner, discuss it with them and ask for a referral to a urologist. Also, depending on your insurance plan, you may be able to skip right to the urologist.

Also of note, at least where I live in the US, unmarried women are the custodial parent by default until a court order establishes otherwise. That essentially denies you the right to take your child and do with as you please, as that'll be a kidnapping charge on you. Whereas, if married, law enforcement cannot take your child away from either parent without a legal order (order of protection/temporary custody/etc).
