Never start with “introducing sexual attraction”. This isn’t a porno. Start with friendliness and interest in what the woman is doing or wearing or something in the environment.

I don’t agree. Feelings can develop from a friendship. Actually it’s natural in many cases. You just need to be honest when it happens. When it’s creepy is when someone is attracted to you and pretends to be your friend to try to seduce you.

Yeah being 40 pounds overweight hits some men very differently than others. You get the guys whose weight is distributed well and girls will say they have a cute “dad bod”. Then there are men whose fat distribution is weird and women don’t find them attractive. I’m one of the latter, and I have to stay lean otherwise I look like a skinny-fat, pot-bellied spider if I go over 15 pounds overweight.

I know there are lots of men who believe dating in your social circle(s) is the way to go, and there is some truth to that, but you need to be really careful you don’t fuck up and poison the well. A bad breakup or experience can blow up your friend group and leave you looking for a new social scene, or looking for a new job if this happens at work. At the same time, it’s easier for average and below-average men to date women they find attractive if they establish a friendship/acquaintanceship fi…

No kidding. What is a fat dude with an average face and no real money supposed to do? Sit at home and jerk off all the time? Many guys who do that too long go to a dark place mentally. At least he’s out there trying.

She’s playing the long game.

Women are attracted to status much more than men. This is especially evident when men get promoted at work. Just my experience.

Some people learn coding on their own and get stable jobs that pay well without a bachelor’s degree.

Being overweight isn’t the same as being obese but ok.

Sorta chubby is average, but again, a lot of those guys are already in relationships at your age.

So as a guy, it is rather pointless to even bother approaching if the ladies have already made up their minds within a first few seconds whether or not that man is a "potential" prospect. True, approaching women you don't know is difficult. But you know what works well for men who aren't super attractive? Becoming friends first. There are studies that show that physical attractiveness and money didn't matter as much when couples started out as friends or acquaintances. Note that I said looks and…

Maybe your mom just isn't attracted to him? But that doesn't make him a 6 Lol. That's like me calling Emma Stone a 5 because I don't find her that attractive. She's clearly very attractive even if I don't like her. Again, Bryan Cranston isn't a 6/10 for his age. He's an 8-9/10 for being over 50. If you personally find him a 6 that's your thing.

OK that's cool. But then we make compromises on certain things, don't we? For instance, you are thin, but you might date an overweight guy with a great personality or who has a good job.

No way the average yearly salary for 25-44 is $80k where I live (in a rural area). Median is a better figure anyway, and that's about $45k for my area for all wage earners. It's around $30-35k for young workers here.

Yeah women think there are a plethora of men over 30 who are college-educated, childfree, emotionally stable, physically attractive, making lots of money who are single and just waiting for the right woman. In reality, the vast majority of these guys are married by their late 20s or early 30s after having been in relationships since college or shortly thereafter. Of the small percentage of men over 25 who are most of those things and are single, half of those guys aren't looking for relationship…

Yes, to you he's a 6, but you're not looking at this from a woman's perspective who would date him. For being over 50 he's a very attractive dude. And he's older than I thought, if he's really 67, which makes him even higher on the scale for his age. I'd say he's an 8-9/10 for being over 50 or 55.

Because she doesn't actually want "average" even though she thinks she does. The average man is overweight (and balding), just like the average woman is overweight. This is even truer when you look at people 40-60, which is her age range for men. Furthermore, the average man and woman don't have a four-year degree (it's much higher than it used to be, however) and make less than $60K per year.

"Not fat", or at least "not overweight", isn't "average." The average person is overweight, especially when you get above 35 or 40.

A lot of women think they want "average" but they really mean "well-above average". The average person (men and women) aren't that attractive, and it only gets worse with age. Asking for an "average" man between 40 and 60 is going to turn up a lot of overweight, balding guys.

He's a 6? Lol Hollywood has totally screwed up our standards. Bryan Cranston has a full head of hair, isn't overweight, has no hideous scars, has good teeth and is white. He's more like a 7-8.5/10 for his age based on looks alone. A guy who looks like that with a good job is an 8-9/10 if he's over 50.

A middle age man that isn't orbited by 20 something year old, attractive women. No middle-aged man is being orbited by loads of attractive 20-something women unless he's wealthy and famous or a porn producer. A 7 - 9/10 middle aged man feels like a paedophile or dirty uncle around 20 something year old, attractive women when they approach him. Wtf? I'm a 7-8/10 almost-middle-aged man and I find it flattering when a pretty younger woman approaches me. It's cute. Sure I won't hook up with a 20-yea…

I was a bartender at a “club” that was half college students and half regular people townies. The only thing that is true of men and women is that they are all different. So you were dealing with people who were either inebriated, down on their luck or bored. Not a good sample.

yeah people here don't understand income is tied to where you live. $54K is very good in a rural area, $80K is OK in a city.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
