I think Japan is the canary in the coal mine for much of the developed world’s coming social issues.

Uhhh… plenty of single young women at the gym op. No need to be a creep about it either, just join a “club” or “class” and the pre-/post-event conversation will come naturally enough if you aren’t completely socially incompetent. The key is not being desperate or aggressive.

For me personally the issue is that dating is time, money, and emotional-energy expensive. Pre pandemic I managed well enough but now I just can’t be bothered anymore. I’m single and not actively seeking a relationship moving forward because my life goals no longer revolve around having a spouse/kids.

That’s fine for you to say as a fellow gay, but I don’t need a straight man to act like I have it “easy” in life because I “chose” to “go gay.”

Yes, they can, by having a father who manages to achieve it himself. Success is inherited, via both one’s genetics and the environment a guy grows up in. Anyone who achieves all those things you talked about with a father whose done the same is extraordinarily lucky. The kind of guy who wins the powerball jackpot the first time he ever plays.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
