Maybe look into a kind of preschool co-op situation. That's what my own stay-at-home mom did with me :) I really enjoyed it and my mom did too. In fact, now that all of us kids are grown up, she's a preschool teacher!

For my husband, especially on days he is stressed about work, he appreciates being met with a kiss and a hug as soon as he comes in the door. That's what works best for him but ultimately I think everything in your comment is really spot on :)

The only place that you have a good chance to find a satisfying traditional marriage is in a religious context. I'm sure the chances are higher in a religious context but there are those of us out there who are not religious and still have traditional marriages

I wish I could hug you :) I've been keeping myself busy but I think I should have made more of an effort to make some sure at least some of those things were fun.

We haven't been living in this area for very long and I'm very far away from my family and friends. We have become friends with my husband's colleague and his wife so I asked my husband if he could get her phone number for me before he left. I didn't end up getting her contact information so I have been feeling anxious that if, god forbid, I started bleeding I would have to go through a miscarriage alone.

Yes, this isn't a problem with him. It's a me issue. I want him to enjoy his time there (and it definitely seems like he is!) I should take joy in his happiness. Not feel resentful and neglected. I think my attitude is already shifting. Thank you so much for your comment.

Your post is helping a lot because everything you are saying is true. I knew that but I was still allowed myself to be upset with him. I'm so grateful to have a husband with a good job who works hard to provide for our family. I didn't want to burden him or make him feel bad about enjoying this vacation so he's actually unaware of how Down I've been feeling. The good news is I don't feel resentful anymore and I am so excited to see him again soon.

I don't question his faithfulness nor am I suspicious of him. A little soul searching is not a bad idea though so thank you:)

You inspired me :) Now that I am in the second trimester I can get a prenatal massage! I think I'll treat myself to a massage and pedicure. I'm so glad it didn't come across that I was putting my husband down. He is not behaving badly or really doing anything wrong. I miss him and feel lonely (and is it ok to admit that I think pregnancy has made me more sensitive and emotional?)

I am at our home in the US. We will visit my in-laws in Korea. He's still in Thailand cutrently. He will fly from Thailand to Korea and I will fly from California and we will meet at the airport.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
