Ex has hart attackI didn’t see it that way. I’m naive to marriage because of how young I am, overcame a jump of trauma and now living my life at 25 the way I should have 10 years ago minus the drug use. I feel like an old man & I have to consider my wife with every decision. It’s not that I hate her, but the damage we’ve done to each other & the way I feel versus what she expresses about being close together doesn’t align with me wanting to be alone on an island; people have hurt me and I have no idea what I am a… | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/11/23 09:24 PM
Ex has hart attackThis post is too mature & on the next level to understand that someone you love is in danger, and how you have a full sense of the array of your emotions. Love & divorce is possible without making your personality (or a deep shutdown of pain) Strong Divorced Man Now. I’d rather be married than divorce after seeing a lot of men respond. At least the woman they claim to hate will give some more meaning to fixing themselves first before leaving to hate their ex through their speech disguised as con… | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/11/23 05:42 AM
Ex has hart attackCompassion seems to be missing with your awareness of this post. I’m not here to fight, you have wisdom & beliefs of your own; but the sense of lack of what you speak of put more happiness into the “H” in military with your comments. Where does the importance of empathy and sympathy come into divorce as a male? | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/11/23 05:15 AM
Ex has hart attackWhy so much unsolicited advice after he gave an answer. Getting blood from a stone or talking to your old self through OP? | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/11/23 04:11 AM
Ex has hart attackGreat post to OP. There’s troubling signs to see you need validation after OP showed emotional maturity & you seen the opportunity to police the flaws in his post. And I’ll add the disclaimer that ourselves matter & do the right thing in life; I see no sign of acceptance when you need to insert if he can vent or not rather than the big picture of moving on unofficially, still caring and understanding that favors can be as complex as possible. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/11/23 04:10 AM
Wife attempts suicide & other behaviors when leavingExactly said, thank you. I am reinforcing this behavior change for a healthier life. Last week I went to my families after I started yelling (5-6 month streak of me not yelling) that “I need rest, get away or I’ll call the cops”; she would not let me rest when I was so sick. Then her calls, turning into texts because I stopped answering all consisted of her “I called the veterans crisis line & told them you’re in crisis, I call a wellness check”. Ironically she ended up at crisis center, was dis… | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/11/23 05:14 PM
Wife attempts suicide & other behaviors when leavingAlso, how do I reach out to other vets/active? Because my first instinct is checking other subreddits, going into the VA. I made no friends when active duty, and her best friend who was very sincere to her & I, she “banned” her from her life and mines because she “saw” her going to sleep with me. Women who are “attractive” bring insecurities out of her and I get stunted, even making guy friends because they are going to “influence me wrong & she just knows it so she stepped in”. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/11/23 05:06 PM
Wife attempts suicide & other behaviors when leavingThank-you. What you wrote —I think I finally needed these words. This helped me understand the big picture; also seeing that I’m sitting here feeling better after she emphasized how she’ll call my bad-family members to go live with when I needed to walk away. (30-min ago, now I hear crying). I just signed a lease 2 months ago with her & my name on the place, now she quit her job so I’m paying all of the rent ($2,000) with my VA-pay ($2,500/mo). I’m over sharing about the pay & rent because I’ve … | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/11/23 05:00 PM
