I tend to be attracted to intelligent women.

Have you ever been overseas? This international matchmaker is closing in on 30k marriages. I have been to many of their events. I would guess no more than 10% of guys who make it on to one of their tours is such a mess he has no hope. I have been to events and watched it happen. The big issue is the women are more interested than you have ever seen American or European women. Usually, they have made up their minds to look for a foreign husband because a friend or relative is living in Santa Moni…

Nope, that is absolutely not true. It often works very well for otherwise successful guys who are a little socially awkward, lots of Silicon Valley engineers and a surprising number of young attorneys for instance. It is often a relief for guys.

International dating works great for many guys. Don't trust me.Read the academic research. You can follow the links in that article to academic articles, dissertations and books by NYU and University of California Press. The fact more guys don't understand the opportunity is bizarre.

Yes, that is similar in some regards, but from what I know the families are really the drivers. I have a hilarious and sort of sad story about Indian matches. I had a student worker once who was a beautiful girl from India. Well, lots of Indian guys came into our office and they all wanted to marry her. What they didn't know was she was from super upper caste. Both her grandfathers had been generals - one a chief of staff. Her father was a rich banker and her mom was always trying to set her up …

At this point, it is not actually advertising. My business partner died during Covid. I sold the site and our other assets to pay his wife and the people I sold the site to have never done anything with it. So, I got more aggressive on Reddit about nine months ago out of sheer boredom, and because I believe international dating is actually a positive good. I have seen lots of men and women get together and usually it is ridiculously sweet. I am considering getting back into it next year. We will…

Congrats! He is a lucky guy. Well, you should send any of your friends who are tired of the BS to sign up with A Foreign Affair. I don't work for them. But I know the owners and they try to do the right things, also the manager in Colombia is a cool Austrian girl married to a Colombian artist or something. It is absolutely the best way for them to meet a decent for guy safely.

I agree with everything you said except the sentence. I am 99% sure those guys were all broke on Sunday afternoons, because the dress shops and everything else were closed. I believe it was that just by walking with the woman they were sort of admitting they would bend a little - not enough to stand in front of a dress shop - but enough to window shop. This was definitely something the men were not wild about but they were doing it as a very cheap date and to placate their girl. I'm not 100% sur…

You are right. I haven't been to Colombia but I was amazed how completely in control Ukrainian guys were. I remember watching couples window shop and the man might stand in front of a motorcycle store for twenty minutes, but if a girl stood in front of a dress shop for thirty seconds he tugged her on down the street. And the women were not mad about this. Then men weren't mad. This was just normal and it would NEVER fly for 99% of American couples. I know some very conservative Christian familie…

I can't promise you that you could marry an amazing French woman, but I can guarantee you could meet some interesting French women if you tried. Part of what makes international dating work is the allure of the different. Here is my advice. Plan a vacation to France. Plan on going to see whatever it is you are interested in about French history and culture. Then about two weeks out sign up for Tinder Gold and reach out to some women near where you are going. I Paris or one of the top five cities…

No, absolutely not. Most of the women who use international matchmaking agencies are very successful at home and absolutely not sex workers. But I also find this attack strange because its not like there are many sexual rules in the US anymore either. Almost no one is concerned about sex before marriage and you can do almost anything to anyone behind closed doors, but overseas the same activity turns the men into deviants and the women into sex workers? I don't get this argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/23 11:25 PM
2

Fair enough. But we have to catch the audiences attention. A better question would be why truck commercials and men's underwear commercials also feature beautiful women. Because literally nothing - nothing - catches the tiny male brain like the face of a beautiful woman. So, guilty there, but so is almost every advertiser imaginable.

I believe it is giving shy, socially awkward guys who are otherwise successful in life a chance. You would not believe the very successful guys I have met who could not talk to women.

People actually have no idea how BAD dating apps are. I am NOT in the dating industry at all right now. I haven't earned any money in dating in two years. But before that I spent a decade where I made very good money in the business and what I saw with apps was absolutely horrifying. Maybe I will post about that sometime soon.

I could be extremely specific, but many - maybe most - of the women who married GIs in the last 80 years met their husband as sex workers. Ask a World War II vet. The truth is many women move out of that world and end up living dull normal lives as mothers and grandmothers across the US. I encourage guys to avoid bar girls but some of them don't listen and an amazing percentage of the time it works out.

That was very much the situation a few years ago. Back then I didn't care at all for the PPB movement, but the press they have gotten has brought in a lot more guys who are more interested in long term relationships. Still, yes, it is easy for a girl to keep five guys in her stable on Tinder or any of the chat sites.

Congrats! Some of the happiest marriages I have seen are where the wife is crushing it and the man has very strong interests. One guy I knew was a historian interested in rural Alabama. He was never going to get tenure anywhere but he didn't care. He was intelligent and interested in his stuff and she did her stuff. Her stuff just happened to make a lot of money.

That is what most guys find surprising. It is odd. I know in Eastern Europe a lot of women sign up after rotten experiences with local guys who are about 5X more macho than the average American guy.

I never suggested their were not any jerks. For the most part guys behave the same way overseas as they do at home unless they are focusing on changing their behavior. Sorry for your problem. Tinder is absolute trash. You probably would do better with an international matchmaker. You certainly would meet a different sort of guy ;)

If that is who you are I have no issues with you at all. Those are core attributes that are generally positive, but I have met at least dozen guys who advertised themselves as PUA and they were closer to my description. One was a leader in the community who made money from a course or something and he was the most despicable human being I have ever met. And I will say, I ran into Mystery waaaaay back before his book and everything and I thought his approach was cool.

As someone mentioned below international dating is a way for men to leverage their advantages. Beyond that it is tough, because in the West we simply do not like to follow directions. We are all bloody geniuses!

LOL! The owners there get sacks of Christmas cards from people they introduced twenty and twenty-five years ago. Both primary owners have been married to the same women they met through their own company over twenty years ago. So, my advice is to read the review of my favorite international dating company. They offer full matchmaking for $20k that probably does a lot more than the guys you talked to but unless you are a celebrity or a politician it is overkill. They mostly take guys on tours and they are responsible for roughly 30k marriages. This video explains a tour. Then you can sign up and look at their catalog. But don't email anyone until you are about two weeks from going. That is the number one, number two an…

Matchmakers do suffer from it, but they will literally send out scouts and feelers. They will call other matchmakers. Matchmakers trade favors constantly. In Ukraine say a guy wanted a redhead. Well, there are a decent number of Ukrainian ginger's because the country is the original home of the Celts. But they are maybe 5%. So, this redhead must speak French. So, they will call all over send photos and come up with a catalog for the man. A week later a different one might need a blond who does K…

I understand your concern. But many people have always gone to build a family. There are many stories in all cultures along such lines. Looking for sex - no. Looking for a wife - yes. In fact, most rabbis, pastors, priests and imams are overjoyed when their organization is the rock on which two people build a family.

Thanks for a thoughtful reply. Labels are tricky. I see the passport bros as an outgrowth of the pick-up artist community. I bumped into some of those cats over the years and they were an absolutely disgusting lot. Those guys have turned lying to women into a high art. I do not like it on many levels. I actually never said that. For most guys I talk to - often in their fifties and successful they can retire immediately if they move to the woman's country. I regularly mention that. Great story! It can happen but Denmark is not Eastern Europe and Eastern Europe is not Latin America and so on. But for instance, Russia actually decriminalized most domestic violence in 2017 and allegedly domestic violence is worse in Latin America. So, I am very careful about what I say. Still that is a great story!

There is a huge difference between passport bros and guys going overseas to find a wife. For one thing there is a mountain of research - almost all done by feminist scholars - showing international dating is good for the men who decide to go that route for a wife and GREAT for the women. Follow the links in this article, and read the underlying research and I bet you will agree with them. No, my prescriptions are not novel. Dating is not novel, but there are options. Lots and lots and lots of men from time immemorial have sat through hundreds sometimes even thousands of church services they did not really believe in to marry a good woman they loved. That sounds like a Roy Acuff song but that's a fact. It was a fact that everyone has largely buried with that generation, but it was generally understood as part of the traditional American family structure. The woman set the moral ag…

It is tricky. At one time male sexuality was controlled by tightly restricting sex to after marriage or in bordellos. There was not much in between in the US from the 1830s to the 1920s. Men won a lot of opportunities during sixty years following World War I, but many have been lost today because of pressure from the left and right. Yes, you can have a live in girlfriend or even two with a little imagination. It is not against the law or at least those laws are never enforced, but at the same ti…

The sort of love you are discussing is an intellectual construct. Yes, men are more than capable of it, but they must be men who have accepted the underlying philosophical foundations of such an ideal form of love. Guys that believe undying, platonic love are going to be idealistic and intellectual. They might not be deeply religious, but most of them probably grew up that way. At one time I knew some very old screenwriters. Guys who were among the highest paid writers in Hollywood in the 1950s …

I am a dating coach and what I say, and I believe most good coaches say, is: "Strive to live up to your own expectations throughout the relationship from the first date to the almost always sad final moments, never let yourself down." The problem is that less sophisticated dating coaches are focused on the external and on gamifying the dating process. That leads to a lot of over promising and disappointment. I could go on and on about this, but check out the academic research on mail order brides. It is nearly all done by feminist academics and it is shockingly positive. Follow the links in that article if you want lots of information. That is fucking awful! The mob thing is ridiculous. I try hard to go, "Damn, well... we'll see," about a ton of the crime stuff I hear, because I know a lot of it is BS. Anybody can claim anything and the DA can get a grand jury to charge cats for chasing cars. They don't have to prove guilt until they get to trial and then all they to do is to convince a dozen "average" citizens. Eddie Murphy was great back in the day! Yeah, women are all the same, but culture matters. Expectations matter. International dating just gives guys a shot at a relationship and that is often damn near impossible in the US and EU.

I met a young man who grew up in the "Fundamentalist" Mormon cult out of Colorado City, Arizona. His story was crazy. It was sort of male infanticide at 16. In order for the community leaders to keep harems of 5 to 20 wives they had to banish a lot young men as soon as they complained or showed any independence. He said about 80% of boys get booted out - some as young as 14. This is an old article, but it was done just after he got the boot. I believe he was 16. His story was a lot like somethin…

First, I am trying to tell you what the best researchers, nearly all devoted feminists, have found in the course of their research. Second, one of the main reasons, maybe THE main reason, for the popularity of the Philippines is the fact that the women generally speak OK English. The ability of a sizeable number of American men to speak some Spanish is also part of what has driven more men to Latin America. Third, if you had read any of the research you will see that the women have plenty of wha…

In vast parts of Southeast Asia and Africa and some parts of Latin America you can buy a young woman. I have read about people buying them for anywhere for all sorts of things including a small color television and a case of beer. That is tragic, but most of the buyers are not foreign men but the rich guy in the village or the next village over. It is sadly just part of their culture. I am utterly baffled why more guys do not explore international dating. The academic research on the topic is overwhelmingly favorable which is amazing because nearly every single researcher is a woman and they all thought they were going to discover a worldwide criminal conspiracy. Instead, most of them realized that in general international dating works out great for the women and very good for the men. Today international dating often leads directly to men moving overseas. It is easy. You d…

I constantly hear from men who want to have children, but cannot meet the right woman. It is a tricky dance in the US. Age, careers, health, and wealth all come into play, and require finding the right woman. In the US for a man over thirty it can be really difficult. We should all try to treat everyone we come in contact with online with the same respect and compassion we would have in real life. I suspect that to her you are not a real person. You are just some glowing letters on a computer screen and she is sad and angry about her life. She is striking back at you because it makes her feel better about her failings in life. It is hard. It has always been fairly challenging, but today it is worse. But it has always been a challenge, but in the old days friends, families, and later co-workers served as the primary bridge between couples. They introduced people. I have always found this odd. Even the most woke among us like what they like. To me it is not hypocritical. It is human nature. Sometimes these desires can be self-defeating. People make the perfect the enemy of the good. But over the years I have coached hundreds of men personally and I never, ever tell them to aim lower, not directly. Because sometimes it does workout and because it is far too judgemental. Who am I to tell them to give up their dream? No one should worry about this, because y…

Cool! I had never seen that study. It is THE great unanswered issue in international dating. I have bugged several academics to do the research for ages. Women are largely the same everywhere. They want to be loved and respected. They want to feel like their choices matter. Marriages between American men and foreign women do last longer. The evidence is overwhelming on that subject. Some of this is because of the women, but also the men who marry overseas tend to be significantly older, more financially secure than average, and most importantly they have decided to be the guy they really want to be. So, yes, foreign women are different, but their…

I believe it is because guys have bought into the negative feminist media critique which even the young feminist academics have abandoned. Originally, the feminist hatred of the modern mail order bride industry developed in the 1990s from feminist scholars who never actually met any of the couple. They were just pissed that the term, mail order bride, offend feminist theory. Then in the mid-2000s they began sending out angry sociology grad students to uncover the worldwide criminal enterprise th…

The gym is a public space. Don't feel bad about waiting for her to finish her set and then just say hello. It is best if you can offer her a genius remark like, "I love the pec deck too!" You have to open the door.

First, international dating is often a good way to meet women, but don't believe me - read the academic research on mail order brides. Second, the women in the Philippines speak English and see marrying American as awesome for a bunch of reasons. Yes, money is part of it, but only part of it. Here is an article from a Philippines news agency about this issue: https://philtimes.com.au/why-do-so-many-filipino-women-want-to-marry-american-or-australian-men/ For about 1000 reasons here is company I …

Google.... I wished they were more accountable. They rank some atrocious scam sites in front of my site in their search results.

First, you should read the actual academic research about mail order brides. That article has links to a lot of recent research. Most of it is positive which is amazing, because it is mostly done by feminist sociology professors who started out very opposed to the concept. Here is a review of the only book published by an academic press on the topic in at least a decade. That means it was reviewed and commented on by two or three professors selected by NYU Press before they published it. Finally…

No, that was 1984. In 1974 they took low paying jobs because there were no drug tests and good pot was cheap. ;)

It is hard to be a man today, there is no doubt about it. The traditional male roles have broken down. But the truth is those roles were not as clearly defined or easily obtained as most people like to believe. For most of American history - particularly after the Crash of 1837 - there has been a large number of rootless men who couldn't afford to get married. In fact, there are tens of thousands of books and movies about these poor, desperate men. We call them Westerns. Do you really think thos…

Yes, it is growing or was before Covid. Second, there has been a ton of research on the since 2000, nearly all by raging feminists who started out hating the concept of mail order brides, and nearly all of them ended up changing their mind after doing their research. Generally, getting becoming involved in one of these relationships is good for the man and great for the woman. Here is an article with a ton of research on the topic: https://www.internationallovescout.com/scholarly-research/resear…

I have written on this topic. I run a site focused on international dating and I have caught them red handed lying about a Reddit. They obviously sent out a press release full of incredible distortions. At first, I ignored it, but eventually I went back and closely examined the Reddit. The results were amazing. Here is my article about it: https://www.internationallovescout.com/the-truth/exposed-mainstream-media-bias-against-mail-order-brides The article is a little long. I need to edit it, but …

I love your passion, but I hope you can grow to smile about it. You are winning - winning huge. Maybe the anger makes you hungry. If it does that's cool, but never let the anger become an end unto itself. If you feel the anger eating at you too much stop and remember how far you have come. And then enjoy the sensation of winning! Spike the damn ball when you cross your goal line. Enjoy your personal end zone dance! Best Wishes!
