This really upsets me. While it may be true, its misleading. Example: My friend gets beat by her husband all the time. She will come over covered in bruises and black eyes.... I'm a woman, and this confuses me. I've never taken time off work due to my menstral cycle. I didnt know women do this. How does one call in without loosing their job? Not that i want to, i just would think that if they were unreliable, they would be fired. Unless the woman is in so much pain from cysts that she is on vicodin, she should get her ass to work! I agree. Male or female reports should not be in the locker room of any sport, no matter the sport and what gender is playing. I dont play sports but after a hard days work, I dont want anyone following me into the shower to talk, not even my spouse. I just want to relax in a hot shower. I dont think by any means its harder for men to be nurses. They can goto school and be accepted into nursing programs just as easily as women can. I think rather than it being harder, there just isnt very much interest by the male population to become nurses due to social stigma of traditional gender rolls.

As a woman, i find that female servers are just not as freindly to me as male servers are. I dont know if thats because the guys are flirting and im oblivouse to it or if the girls are just in general "bitchy." Perhaps men just enjoy the job more than women do, who knows. Either way, i find (in general) that i get better service at restraunts from a waiter than i do a waitress. I tip better based on my experience.

It is a problem that needs mental health care and does not go away on its own accord. She should have gotten help, her facebook post was clearly a cry for help but facebook is not a dr. Do you have joint custody at this point? If so, go speak to a lawyer about getting your rights as a father to keep the boy x amount of days a week. Once you have him with you equal amount of time, it will be easier for you in any legal battles that may come in the future. Also, seeing you more often and having a constant routine (at least at your place, that you can control) might help him out emotionally as well.

This is what the result of govenrment making things illegal. Supply and demand 101. There is still a need for it in the enconomy, but because its against the law, the willing hesitate, lowering the supply. Demand does not go away, This means that the unwilling are forced into it to fill the demand. If the child was 6 months old, this very well could have been the result of poor medical care for the mother. Baby blues are normal, but Post Partum Depression is a serieouse illness. Left untreated, the mothers can become agressive, abussive, and thoughts of killing herself and child are not unheard of. She needed mental care, and im guessing did not recieve it due to lack of insurance.

(Female here) Here is my advise. Get a group of people together, male, female, parents and students alike, perhaps a few of your teachers as well, and goto the source of the problem. MIT. Perhaps you could create a video with all of your protests, put it up on youtube and see what response you get. The more publicity this gets, the more chance you have of getting them to change their policies for the future generation (or yours) you want that video viral!
