Thank you, needing to see it from someone's else's perspective instead of feeling like I am normalizing an unhealthy relationship. He wants me at his house most of the time, and for him he's getting sex and a cleaning service, and I'm unhappy, he's unhappy. I see many compatibilities in him but I don't know that we can make it work. The breakup thought has been a running thread in my mind for Several months now, which isn't how it's supposed to be, this I know for sure.

-I don't bug him about the house, he has made it clear he won't be asked to do anything and that I am to bring him the problem: "the upstairs needs vacuuming, the light bulbs need changed, the yard needs etc., and so on." It's become where I feel as though I'm the one who 1) notices when household things need done/fixed (doors that need to be fixed, bathrooms cleaned, painting done around the house, light bulbs changed, etc.) and 2) cares more. He was very satisfied with living in a messy, unpac…

I think you probably have me pegged wrong. I want to eventually be married, but not right away no way, and not with my bf as things stand. I'm not ready for that step yet, and I've said as much to my bf. My ex was hardly perfect and I "thought" it was a good relationship, yet it was very flawed. I was using my interactions with him and feelings of "submission" in contrast to how I'm feeling now. I am under no illusion that my ex was the end-all-be-all, or that no other will compare, I don't beli…

I spend six out of seven days a week at his house, but do not have furniture or anything significant there, like I would if I actually moved in. My parents live about 15 minutes away and I have transitioned to spending most of my time at his house, which is his preference. I'm not currently contributing anything financially because I haven't had a FT job until just the last couple of weeks. I felt obligated to keep his house clean and organize for my own sanity. He does not do any cleaning aside…

I'm jealous that he lets you decorate the rest of the house like you like. Let him have the one messy room.

Because working out and eating right is challenging, it requires a lifetime of commitment and sacrifice. That is not easy AND 18-25 year olds are used to eating what they want and not having any consequence. It will make itself known before long. I cannot judge someone for their lifestyle because I do not know their story. I was overweight for a few years and quickly realized how unhappy I was; that's when I made changes that I've stuck with for years. It takes a lot of work.

I'd say that his support is wonderful!. If he's not that into it then let him be, that can be your thing. I'm much more political than my boyfriend and much more of a bleeding heart liberal and he is more libertarian. Do I wish we shared more similar political views? Sometimes, but I also love that we can have discussion around topics. He's super smart which I really appreciate. Appreciate what you have! Sounds like he is supportive which is great. :)

I love love love this. I'm a lurker as well most of the time and often struggle with being a strong, independent woman who calls herself feminist but also have a deep respect for men and do understand the methods of RPW. I also respect women and their choices and want them to have a choice in their lives - bottom line. I too have never been taught that feminism is coercive or meant to put men in their place. Rather that we are empowered and capable beings and deserve to have a place in the world…

Yes. This. Mental load. I believe that women are more often completely encumbered by it and their partners don't often value or understand how much help we need when it comes to household things. I am running abound 24/7 trying to stay on top of everything and it leaves me exhausted and disinterested in sex. :( :( asking my partner for help leads to him becoming frustrated and saying he does a good job and that I'm just anxious and being unfair.

I've never experienced these kind of women in my life (or in friend groups) and none of them are RPW to my knowledge. These just sound like terrible people, regardless of their political beliefs. I can't stand selfish, entitled people who run their mouths hah.

Definitely tell him. He is the father. Should you decide to have an abortion (I'm pro choice but I understand for some this is not the case) then you need to be on birth control or use condoms + birth control. IUDs if you can afford them are 99.9% effective and are a great option. Mine will last 10 years. I love it. As an adult (which you are) it is irresponsible to have unprotected sex - pulling out is NOT a method of bc - and potentially bring a child into the world when the parents are ill pr…

Sitting on his lap, trying to kiss his neck, grabbing him from behind, touching his arms and back. Used to tell him I was horny and it seems like anymore he isn't receptive which made me feel uncomfortable initiating or suggesting sex. If it is suggested he feels like I am asking which annoys him as well.

Yes sometimes, and usually he is not receptive, but rather irritated that We aren't having sex now. Doesn't understand what I am trying to tell him.

The arousal just isn't there, but I recognize that he is attractive and that we have great sex. We've had several negative interactions before or during sex which have led me to feel that I'm doing it wrong, not the way he likes or he just isn't into it. I've tried initiating or being suggestive and if he's not in the mood I can tell and it makes me feel embarrassed awkward and the poof, no desire.

I always do feel more relaxed, of course, and bonded to him. It sucks when I feel like we cannot get there. He is stonily waiting for me to initiate and I am feeling anxious and have no desire at the moment. He initiated a few days ago and it was great. When I do so, not so much. It's as if I'm doing it wrong somehow. That never used to be an issue, ever.

What if you've been together for almost 1.5 years and spend 85% of time with him at his house? I'm super neat and he is not - caused some conflict early on. I don't pay rent (full time student nursing school - stay with parents) and so I help out around the house. Confused :/
