What is unclear is why do men need women so much more than women need men. I suppose implicitly we are a species like domestic sheep, where the natural equilibrium is a few rams mate with 100s of ewes while the other rams die.

Yes economists call this type of study a "revealed preference" study which is much much more reliable than a "stated preference" study like a survey. You're basically only as hot as the number of matches you get.

Enh I don't think so. I get tons of attention from gay men on acting apps and very little from women. Conversely, I know attractive gay/bisexual women who struggle to get matches and dates on these apps. Just see women complain about this on r/actuallesbians
