No, it wasn't legal which is why she was convicted. You are the biggest rape apologist on this subreddit. Every time there is a story about a boy being molested by an adult female you come out of the woodwork and argue that age doesn't matter and all other manner of creepy arguments.

But that's really even a better solution to what I wanted, which was for you to not no longer mislead others on the subreddit. Admittedly, you probably didn't have any such motivations when deleting your post, and probably only did so to avoid the embarrassment of being proven so utterly wrong because you don't understand what a byline is.

I think an edit is warranted to your original post, don't you think? It's still possible that an uninformed person will read your post and think the story is fake when we now have some evidence that it could very well be real. I would recommend adding a link to /u/derpylord43's comment.

Yup. If you look at the archived link you posted Monmoth is to the upper right and is on all of their articles. It's likely that it was directly put in the byline when the story was first reposted and hosted elsewhere.

Yup, it's still precedent, although thankfully all states have now passed gender-neutral legislation. Doesn't mean that female rapists are given equal sentencing or taken as seriously in the culture, but the formal legal hurdles to equality have now been cleared.

Sorry, but I disagree. Radical feminists have definitely argued before for gendered definitions of rape. Some think that, due to patriarchy, there's a fundamental difference between a man raped by a woman and a woman raped by a man. I've even personally had feminists of this persuasion argue with me that men can't be raped by a woman.

Well firstly, it wasn't a law that was changed. The FBI doesn't determine federal law in the United States (Congress does that) and most criminal law is decided on the State level anyway.
