How to stop kicking the can down the road and instead actually face reality? If there's one thing I regret over the past 4 years is not following through the first time I gave her an ultimatum.. Follow through or she will never respect you and keep fucking pushing the boundaries.. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/09/24 02:21 PM
How to stop kicking the can down the road and instead actually face reality?Cheating on both sides.. Our marriage is a fucking mess.. Caught her in an active affair a little over 4 years ago.. When I caught her I confessed to one I had 6 years prior.. I've led all recovery efforts.. 4 different marriage counselors, First 2 ended because of covid, last 2 ended because I wouldn't continue going if she was just going to lie.. Weekend marriage intensive, numerous books, videos, podcasts, etc.. So yea, that's why I resent her.. She's gone full blown Christian the past 6 mont… | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/09/24 02:19 PM
How to stop kicking the can down the road and instead actually face reality? Thanks for the reply.. The one thing I will fight tooth and nail over is 50/50 of my kids.. I'll go broke to at least get that.. My wife has her own business.. She works when she wants to.. She could definitely work more but she likes to be home for the kids etc (who wouldn't?). | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/09/24 02:15 PM
How to stop kicking the can down the road and instead actually face reality?I agree with everything you are saying brother.. I don't respect myself for allowing her to walk over me.. However, I'm the one that's allowing it so I'm the one to blame.. Can't blame anyone else but myself.. There are days where I feel exactly like you say.. I say to myself "Man the fuck up.. You are not being an example of a man to your sons.. You are letting your wife walk all over you and there is zero reason she should respect you as you don't follow through on things you say.." But as clo… | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/09/24 02:14 PM
What are the best/worst aspects of life post-divorce? What has helped you rise again?I have 12 and 14 year old boys and a 18 year old girl.. I'm planning on dropping the D bomb in mid August after my daughter leaves for college.. Your question is the exact reason I have yet to drop said bomb.. Can't even imagine not seeing my kids every day.. I'm SUPER close with my boys.. | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/07/24 06:22 PM

Been in a frozen state for years.. How do you pull the trigger and file? Kids are my main reason for not doing it..This is one of the many thoughts I think about daily.. I fully agree with you, too.. I ask myself if my kids were in this situation what advice would I give them.. I would tell them to try everything they could to save their marriage but that it takes 2.. I've tried everything, I'm at peace with that.. It's just the thought of hurting my kids and not seeing them every day that is keeping me.. Thank you for your reply. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/06/24 12:12 PM
Don’t Give UpThank you.. Well, I caught her in an affair 4 years ago this month.. (had suspicions and verified them by looking on her phone and seeing things I never wished I saw).. The night I caught her I admitted to an affair I had 4 years prior that I was taking to my grave.. Figured how can I be so pissed at her when I did the same thing.. It was a profound point in my life that changed the way I lived so in a way, I'm glad it happened.. So, that begun the reconciliation process or so I thought.. She ha… | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/06/24 12:10 PM
Don’t Give UpHell yes. Thanks for posting this.. I'm still trying to get the courage to file.. Been four years of absolute hell.. We have 3 kids (12, 14, 18) and been married 22 years. She's all I know but I can't stand being in the same room with her.. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/06/24 07:42 PM
